Facts- Bloomington Firestone (9300 Lyndale Ave S, Bloomington, MN, 55420) owns Minnetonka Tires Plus (12700 Wayzata Blvd, Minnetonka, MN, 55305). Sept 4 I bought 4 tires from Tires plus. The following week I called to inquire if an alignment was done at the time I purchased the tires. The guy said no and referred me to their sister company Firestone. Sept 25, 2025 Alignment was performed. I upgraded to a lifetime alignments. When I made the appointment he said it would take about 2 hours. Done in 40 minutes. I was grateful and drove away. No alignment paperwork was given to be. April 2026 I brought my car into the dealership for service and was told I needed 2 new front tires. I called Tires plus to verify I purchased the tires a few months earlier with 6-8K miles since my alignment? Tires plus agreed it doesn't sound right. I brought my car in to Tires Plus and spoke to Alan. He berated me and said I needed new tires. He said he doesn't know how bad I drive and referred me to the alignment people and said it wasn't aligned right. He gave me a copy of my alignment (pre and post). I called Firestone and he told me they got new computers so all data is in a box but come in and they will look at my tires. The guy said they put the wrong tires on my car and that is the reason. He showed me the warning that you would have to bypass in order to order these tires for my car. Firestone still no paperwork on original alignment- said he has 2 more boxes to go through. I called and filed an original complaint with their company. I called again 3 days later and the complaint was closed by Alan from tires plus. He said he took care of it. I said no he didn't, I want to talk to someone about how he treated me AND about my alignment. I don't think they ever did one at Firestone. I called the complaint line again- they escalated it to the area, then division, then corporate ladder several times-not one person has called me back. I called Firestone again and they said they finally found my alignment paperwork but wouldn't send it to me. Said I needed to come in and get it. My car broke down and brought it in they said they would look it at it that night. No one looked at it till the next day. I then showed up and they said they couldn't do anything bc they didn't have the staff. Me and my friends looked at it for 10 min and figured out the issue. They were also super unprofessional, talking about working on personal vehicles over my vehicle right in front of me. My son took his 2001 Toyota Celica to Firestone to have the coolant drained and refilled. Luckily, when a mechanic friend was helping him put in new struts they noticed the car getting abnormally warm. Looked and the coolant cap hadn't been put back on. Fast forward, he thought surely they can't screw up twice. So he asked for the window shield washer fluid and freon to be drained as he is rebuilding it. He has it all torn apart only to discover the window shield fluid is still full and when he tested the freon it hisses. Called over there and am being told it was completed. Really, I am suppose to believe that when the one is done and the other is not? I offered to send them the video but they didn't have any interest in that. For all I know the mechanic didn't do it and doesn't want to get into trouble. Nobody even mentioned a refund. Pretty sad that is how they do business. read more

Amazed at the customer service here at the Bloomington location. I had an appointment today at the Eagan location which I made online. The worker at the Eagan location was so rude to me because my online appointment wasn't showing up and basically "too bad", I even had to ask him to not be rude to me. He told me to call other Firestone's but he couldn't help. I called the Bloomington location and explained what happened and that he wouldn't even look at my email confirmation. The Bloomington Firestone told me to come in right away and they'll take care of me. I get here and they are so nice here and apologized for my experience. Very nice staff here at Bloomington. I was so nervous to not get my tire done because of the weather. Whoever worked at the desk in Bloomington 12/26 around 330pm is a really great employee and is so nice! read more

Short version: Didn't even apologize for filling the truck with the wrong oil for 3 years. I am sorry to do this because I have been a happy customer here for 3 years getting many oil changes tires and other work done on my vehicles. It turns out this shop has been putting the wrong oil in my truck for three years and when I pointed it out they did not apologize but rather tried to tell me it wasn't a big deal. Long version: The shop normally does not fill out the reminder sticker fully so I usually don't have a reference readily available to check oil type but recently they did fill it out and when I was checking the reminder for mileage I noticed that they appeared to have filled it with the wrong oil. I took the truck into the shop to get it switched and talked with Vincent (pretty sure that was his name). I asked him if it was normal to put in 0W-20 and he assured me it was. I asked why they would use that when the manual calls for something else and he insisted the truck was supposed to take 0w-20. I had to go out to my vehicle and bring in the owners manual to show him that it was not, at all, suppose to use that oil. He then tried to branch into some story about how its not a big deal and he had the wrong oil in his car for years without effect. I assured him it was a big deal to me to get the correct oil in my vehicle so he changed some things in the system. That's it. No apology, no offer to fix at least this oil free of charge. Just making a note in the computer. I asked for the receipt as well as a record of my transactions as a customer at that location. He promised they would be emailed. They were not emailed. Today I had to stop by again and talked with Brandon who was able to print off a receipt from the previous visit and printed off a stack of old receipts as a record of transactions. When I explained why I wanted them he said something along the lines of he wishes people paid better attention. As though he was not a representative of the store in question. I would also like to point out that he did not provide all the records. While he gave me a stack of invoices there is at least one that I have in my records that was not present in his comprehensive list. For context here I have invoices for at least 7 oil changes where they did not once read the oil fill cap which clearly states to use a different oil. I liked these guys and I am sorry that they have lost me as a customer but this is horrible service and disgusting refusal to accept responsibility form at least the two employees mentioned read more

Worst customer service. They fake you problems, total ripoff. Go to discount tire. Much more reliable with fair pricing. Employees are big liars. This place needs to shut down. read more

John is amazing! He has the best customer service skills I have ever experienced at a auto care center! My SUV got messed up durIng our travels to Minnesota and John made sure I was back on the road the very next day! He saved me a ton of money and did everything in his power to ensure I was saving. I highly recommend this place and I'm unsure why they have only one star because they deserve 5 stars! If Firestone management can see this post, you should give John a raise, because of him I'll continue to do business at firestone! read more

Sunday morning, I walk out to my car to discover I am one of 8 vehicles vandalized with tire punctures. I contact the only place open and spoke to John(awesome man) who not only provided number for a tow, got me in immediately and took care of the tire at a fantastic price and speed, enabling me to get to work with only being 45 minutes late. Incredible service - best I've ever had in my life from anywhere. John Van Hall, hands down the best manager I've interacted with. Usually these places are con artists but they really looked after me, didn't pressure me into buying anything I didn't need. John went out of his way to help me out in a situation where I absolutely needed a pricey and time consuming repair job completed, and came through. John and his mechanics at Firestone saved my New Year's Eve . Our battery broke while we were at church. Our go-to servicer for this kind of thing was open but couldn't guarantee service and is 15 miles from where I was. Went to Batteries Plus in our neighborhood. They were awesome, they were working really hard with a store full of people as well but my installation really couldn't done outside in -15 they recommended Firestone up the street. Turns out they are part of the same corporate Network as the place I usually go. And they could access all my service records and honor the remaining portion of warranty on my battery and every little bit helps. John is one of the best customer service reps I've ever run into and I've been in the customer service business on and off for 40 years. As I said earlier my van requires over an hour of labor for a battery replacement. They were going to get me right in but since I live less than 2 miles away and my son could come pick me up I told them they could take as long as they needed and get other more urgent customers through. My son picked me up we went to our New Year's lunch with our good friends and came back to pick the car up by 5. Brand new battery and he gave me a great deal on some new wiper blades topped off all my fluids checked my tires and he gave me some money off on on labor.
