Had a fantastic experience here! The manager, Brandon, was great to work with. He listened to my concerns and provided very clear options with his recommendations. I never felt taken advantage of, which is big as a female. The work done was instantly noticeable when I drive out of the service center. Making an appt was easy. My only complaint is they need a table to set your drink on so you don't have to hold it the entire time or put it on the floor, but that is not enough to make me go back. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!! My car arrived to this location 9/6/2025 and it is now 9/12/2025 Warning that the mechanic here only works Tuesday-Saturday. Left my car here knowing it was Saturday and the mechanic may not get to my vehicle until Tuesday. Which was exactly the case, the mechanic "looked at my car" on Tuesday and said they needed to charge my battery. I did not hear from them all day and I called closer to 6pm. I was told by one of the young ladies at the front desk that it would be another day before they could "diagnose" my car. The following day now the 10th, I was told it was the starter. Having recently serviced the vehicle that did not sound like the issue & I urged them to continue to look for the issue as my car did start at one point and died while in parking lot. I suggested possibly the alternator or the electrical unit /component. I was told no and that it would be the starter needing replaced. Against my own better judgement and being stranded in Austin I agreed to let them replace the starter. The manager Kino told me that it would be $2000 to replace the starter and that most of that cost would be due to the 7hr labor their mechanic would need to spend on it. Being familiar with mechanics, I could not imagine it would take 7hrs to change a starter. It's been my experience that it should take 2-3 hrs for an experienced mechanic to have that replaced. Thankfully I have an extended warranty and it would only cost me $100 deductible. August 11th they would start the process of replacing the starter. The job /mechanic was to start at 7:30 am. And I did not contact the store until 3pm. Arriving at the store at that time to check the status of my vehicle & to my dismay it was still up and being worked on. One of the young ladies told me it would be the following day when it would be ready. I reminded her it was a 7hr job as quoted by the manager and she said it had been a more difficult job that anticipated. She then stated it would be done by the end of the day & I could pick it up in the morning. I decided to wait it out & since the vehicle would be done at the end of the day. I live in San Angelo Texas 3 1/2 hrs north west of Austin. I have been eager to get back home. I waited until 615pm when the young lady at the counter informed me that it would be the following day before my vehicle would be ready. She stated that now at 620pm the O2 sensors , fluids needed to be replaced. She stated that it would be 715am when he would begin working on my vehicle. I assumed about 9am would be a safe time to arrive at the store. Arriving at that time I asked for the status of my vehicle and it was still not ready. Being worked on is what I was told. Again I sat for another 3hrs. At 12 I asked for an update and the young lady then said it would be another hr. I waited, finally!! At 230pm the manager comes to me and said "so we have a problem, your car won't start". We went back and forth, because they had been certain it was my starter. Asked him it could be the alternator? Did you change my starter for no reason? Did you overlook something else. He stated no and that something must have slipped and now they believed my engine slipped. Stating they attempted to manually turn the motor and they were not able to. He then stated that it seemed as my motor seized and I needed to contact the dealer or a tow truck. Basically they had gone as far as they could or would and I needed to find help elsewhere. Calling my dealership back home they suggested that the mechanic check the U35 fuse as it was very common for this fuse to go out when a starter is replaced. The mechanic did not want to do that and stated that it was the motor. Here I am 178 miles from home and will have to tow the vehicle to a local dealership. The lack of communication/ urgency customer service at this store is unbelievable. I've sat here for quite a few days and have first hand seen so many people turned away for state inspections, for other car issues. Appointments made for different days and no urgency on the issue with my vehicle. the manager seems to disappear also several times a day when issues arise. Making it difficult for the staff to communicate with him. There is a quote from Harvey Firestone hanging throughout the store "I believe fundamental honesty is the keystone of business ". I do not believe my car has been worked on with honesty . I do not believe that it the starter needed to be replaced . As I sit here stranded in Austin with no family and no means of transportation. I 100% do no recommend this facility to anyone. read more

I had a complicated problem that required a special tool that the shop didn't have but their associate Blake had a personal one on hand that he bought in himself the following morning, so I could get this complicated fix done. . When I went to pay for my services, they automatically added a coupon to help save me some money. 2 stars is probably too nice. Had an appt for 1pm, brought the car at 12:45, should have known something was off when they say they were behind and it would take 3 hrs for an oil change... However was like it's fine and got dropped back off at 4pm. I'm like ok, surely my car must be almost done. Sat around until 5. They said they actually didn't have my filter and were waiting on door dash to drop off the filter. Not even making that up. I was like please get my car down and give me a refund. Which obviously they would not do. Taking my car to a family mechanic to make sure there is even new oil in it. 5 hrs for an oil change is you can expect for this location. read more

On Saturday 9/13, I dropped off my car at around 830am, requesting for a transmission and tires check after dealing with a gentleman with glasses in a grey polo who had a very condescending and cold attitude with customers making them feel dumb for asking anything regarding service costs or procedures. I later called at 2pm and they stated that they had 10 cars in front of mine and that it would be until later or the following day. I requested that I be notified if they needed to keep my car as I could not afford to leave it overnight for a planned trip. It hit 5pm, no news or call so I showed up and they had not moved it from I had left it parked. I had to asked for my keys back as nothing had been done and they were about to close. I have gone to multiple Firestones across the US with my favorites back home in FL and I had never received such horrible service, treatment, and lack of communication. Avoid this place. read more

Came for state vehicle inspection, was told there was a four hour wait. When I asked if I could book an appointment in advance and return later I was told that it was "Texas law" that these inspections cannot be prescheduled. I then found a shop that allowed appointments and requested one. Also cannot find anything barring state inspection appointments per Texas law online. Completely incompetent service. My same tire kept going flat, and unfortunately I, as somebody with zero mechanical or any experience working on cars past a tire change, had to diagnose the issue myself as an issue with the valve stem puncturing the tire. You genuinely would probably have a better chance resolving your auto issue yourself using Google than the geniuses here. I also highly suspect they stole a wad of ones from my console, but I am not certain as I'm not too concerned with documenting that amount missing. Made an appointment for a WHEEL ALIGNMENT that was accepted for 9am Saturday morning, I asked the guy at front during drop off if they will for sure get it done today, he confirmed. I get a call at the end of the day of course letting me know it won't be ready. I said fine but please prioritize it in the am, they let me know it'll be the first car. Next day I had to call in the afternoon just to find out that the job had not been done but they will let the mechanic know to get my car done next. Of course... end of day comes by and I had to call to get an update just to find out they can't get it in. 2 full days, no car alignment. 2 days and $20 on the uber to drop off wasted. I get if you're short staffed... but stop making promises you can't deliver on. I came in the morning with a flat tire. They didn't call me until 6pm to tell me my rim was scratched and I would need to get a new rim. I asked for the manager to contact me since I needed my car back. No one called me back. I went in the next morning to pick it up because I said I would just take it to Discount Tire. To my frustration my car still didn't have the spare on and I had to wait another 30 minutes. The manager was incredibly rude. I took it to Discount Tire and they had me up and running within an hour and surprise! I didn't need a new rim. Just go to Discount Tire. Best warranty, service and prices. read more

Don't waste your time or money with Firestone. On 9/6/23, I submitted a review on the behavior of the Manager, Kemo at the Clock Tower facility. I also called to complain & was told I would receive a call back, which never happened. Kemo (the manager that treated me like crap) called on 9/7/23 to say that he was fully staffed and I could bring my car in or on the weekend. No apology for talking to me like I was his kid. I took off work Wednesday to get there when they opened & was treated like trash. There is no way I'm taking off work to return there. On 9/8/23, I received an email from Shonya telling me to respond to socialcare@bfrc.com with any additional details, invoice #, contact info. I responded Sep 8, 2023, 8:53am, I haven't heard from anyone yet. The same day I was turned away by Kemo (9/6/23), I decided to try another Firestone located at 1000 E 41st St. I called first and was told to bring my car in. This facility was able to take me @ 8:13am and get me out by 9:39am. The speed and customer service provided by JP was amazing and greatly appreciated. The problem came when Justin rang me up and instructed me to remove my credit card because the machine had timed out. Actually it didn't time out because before I removed my card it said approved. Per Justin, I inserted my card again and now I have 2 charges for the same service. I called & spoke with Justin the same day & was told that one of the pending charges would drop off. It didn't. Both charges have posted. I went to the facility and spoke with Dan (Manager) who instructed me to go to my bank & let them know. I informed him that I had already called & they verified there were 2 charges from Firestone. According to Dan they can't see that I was charged twice, so talk to my bank. Today is 9/14/23 and I still have not received my credit. SMDH!! At this point, I now know better. read more

After waiting almost 2 hours I called to find out that they haven't even started my car, then I ask for a manager, they decide to lie and say they're at the bank. My car broke down on 183. I called the nearest Firestone (clock tower) to determine if they had the bandwidth to service my vehicle (it was 9:30 am). Of course they said "Yeah, bring it on over!" So I had it towed there and took a Lyft to work. I heard NOTHING from them, so I called around 3:45 pm which is when they informed me they hadn't even looked at the car. They were busy, ya know? They said they'd get to my vehicle in the morning. I asked, "You WILL get to it, or maybe?" They said they would get to it. The next morning comes and goes. No communication. I call around 11 am and they say they're looking at my car right that second -- WHAT A COINCIDENCE! They call me back about 12:50 pm to tell me the diagnosis, service and cost, which includes ordering 3 parts. They say my car should be ready by 6 pm. Fast forward to 6:45 pm, I walk in (after noticing my car is parked outside of the bays, with the hood popped) inform them I'm there to pickup my vehicle, and dude walks out into the garage area. He comes back and informs me they never received my parts. Bruh, wut? He calls the parts place and after hanging up, tells me there was a "mix up" at the warehouse. I asked, "and you didn't notice the parts never arrived?" Response: Blah, blah, we were busy, whatchagonnado? So I asked for a discount and the manager first tried to pretend he didn't understand the concept of "compensate me for my inconvenience," then agreed to an unspecified discount and they'd call me the next day when the vehicle was fixed. I asked if he was sure, since they'd had yet to call and tell me anything in 2 days. He seemed annoyed with that and I walked away. I am sick and tired of "managers" treating customers like they're doing us a favor. News flash, you're not doing us a favor, you're conducting business. If you didn't have the availability to complete a 4 hour job, you should've said that so I could've chosen a different Firestone. If you see you are off your time table, communicate that to the customer. If an issue occurred, communicate that to the customer. You expect us to pay upon completion, right? We can't take the fixed vehicle home and tell you maybe we'll pay you tomorrow morning, so don't do that crap to us. Yet another Firestone one my NEVER AGAIN list. I think I'm 0 for 6 at this point. Called prior to leaving my vehicle for a service they were able to schedule me the same day I show up speak to the rep he takes my info checks my acct gives me a price for the services says come by EOD, I call 20 mins before it closes no answer. assumed it wasn't finished since he had told me they only had one tech which was fine with me. called the next morning and the new rep said they had no information on me couldn't give me a status on my vehicle only kept repeating the same sentence to me even though I let him know I did speak to someone and they had verified my info states he'll call back in a couple of minutes he doesn't. I let 30 mins go by and call back rep then tells me it will be hours til I can get my vehicle back since "I dropped it off without speaking to no one or leaving my info" complete bad service I ended up going to pick up my vehicle no services were done but yet my keys had a tag for the services I had spoken to the previous rep in store on them. They still pretended that I walked in and left my vehicle without leaving any info or speaking to someone. Idk in which store they allow customers to drive up and just park their car or take keys from a customer without any info. I don't expect anything even when I picked up my truck they couldn't own up to their mistake and kept blaming me. I won't be returning and needless to say the personnel cannot be trusted. This place is truly a nightmare. The manager is incredibly rude and honestly frightened my partner and I. They misdiagnosed our vehicle and told us we needed a $1500 repair, including a new set of tires. We had our tires replaced by Firestone only three months prior to this diagnosis, but they kept pushing their current promotion to get us to buy more new tires. We took our vehicle elsewhere for a second opinion, and a different mechanic assured that they were wrong and trying to take advantage of us. We spoke with the Firestone manager over the phone and he was very rude and aggressive. When we came in to speak with him about the repairs and pick up our vehicle (which they had for 3 days..) he avoided us and would not come out from the bay. We asked for information to contact corporate and the only person who would talk to us said that contact information is unavailable. Have you ever gone to a place that's cursed? Not sure if they built this firestone on a Indian burial grounds... Or some type of hex was put on this specific location but I think that its likely. If you need air for an inside tire on a truck don't go to this location. The technology hasn't been invented yet to do this. At least this is what they tell me. Very disappointed with the communication. I dropped off my vehicle before noon and didn't receive 1 update for 5.5 hours. I called and they were busy, which is understandable, but not reaching back out like they said they would is another thing. I was told this would take an hour to be fixed today, but when I spoke with them 5 hours later, they said it wouldn't get done today due they don't have the part and they close in 2 hours. Absolutely nothing could be done when I asked if they're able to assist with me any pricing; even the additional $30ish amount they added just to run the testing on my vehicle. So here I am, stranded in another city, needing to book a hotel on top of my $1k alternator repair and new battery "recommendation". I went to autozone yesterday where they tested my battery, it was in perfect condition, now... they're saying I need a new one. I had a flat tire and chose this store due to the location. This has been the worst car experience I've had. My car has been at Firestone for multiple DAYS. 2 nights. For a TIRE REPLACEMENT, due to low staff. I was told a new time my car would be available for pick up multiple times, each time not ready. I finally am told the car is ready for pick up, yet when I arrive the car is still in the garage, and I am asked to keep waiting. 36 hours for 1 flat tire. I have always had pleasant experiences with other Firestone locations, but I do not recommend this store to anyone. read more

One star only because there's no option for ZERO stars. I made an online appointment on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019 for Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 8:00 am for an alignment. Daughter received an email that appt was pending, but assumed that was a formality. She showed up at 8:00 am today and was told her appt time isn't real unless Firestone confirms it. They has Sunday afternoon and all day Monday to confirm. She was told it would be at least noon before her car was ready. Obviously they DO NOT honor online appointsments. BEWARE. She is a college student and works 20-30 hours a week. Her time is very limited. Guess I need to go back to Discount Tire....when you make an appt on line with them....they HONOR it. I don't know why I have come back to Firestone after my horrendous experience at another location. I figured, maybe they would be better at a second location. All I needed was a single tire replaced. It took them 2 hours. When I came back, they noticed they had installed a defective tire that had a rip in it. So they made me wait another hour to get another tire on. If I had known they had no inventory except for defective inventory, I would have gone to another shop. This is a place that is supposed to sell tires, yet they didn't check the tire for rips before installing one and then they didn't have any extra tires in their inventory. Complete waste of time.
