Made an appointment to replace a tire with a nail in the sidewall. Showed up only to find out that the tire I requested and came up as in stock was not actually in stock. Not a big deal as another can be ordered and delivered the next day (from what I'm told). So I called the next day and finally got through after being put on hold for 15 minutes and disconnected. Apparently my tire was never ordered. Employee said he will "find" the tire and call me back once he has it. Never got a call back. All I ask is for follow through with customer service. Stopped by on my way back to Savannah after visiting family. Tire pressure light came on and all pressures were fluctuating before I got here. They thoroughly checked all of the tires and didn't find anything that would cause it. I love that they were so helpful and didn't try to sell me new tires I don't need. Terrible experience at this specific store. I went in at 11:00 AM for a repair and was told it would take 1-2 hours. At 2pm I asked how much longer and they said the repair was complete all they needed to do was a test drive. I wait another hour and am told the same thing. 30 minutes pass by and I ask again only to be told my vehicle hasn't been worked on with one guy saying it's because "he didn't want to". They even released my vehicle to me when I said I had to be back on base and they released it to me knowing it was a safety repair that was need, how hazardous it is to drive it in that state, without warning me. The only reason I plan to take legal action is because at Toyota Motors that is never allowed due to the risk it places on the costumer and it usually results in the tech being immediately fired. read more

Shanice was very rude, and had an attitude from the time I walked in like she was in a bad mood. This type of behavior isn't good for customer service. I was standing by the window in the area where customers wait and for some reason she did not like me standing there. She suggested I move to another area even though I wasn't in her way and nobody else was in the office. I stated I would rather stand by the window to see my car since I had to leave it running and unlocked, due to the battery dying if I turned it off. Rating: 3.5 stars We picked up some roadwork debris and ripped a 2.5" hole in the sidewall of one of the tires on the car. It couldn't be plugged or repaired, so we needed to make a decision on whether to purchase a single tire or replace all four. Whatever we hit also caused the sensor on the second tire on that side of the car to go out, so there was a constant (irritating) fault warning on the dash. We have dealt with many different stores in the Firestone network, so I thought I had an idea of what to expect. This store was a bit shabby and in need of a thorough vacuuming even just after opening. This was an unexpected occurrence, so there was no time to schedule an appointment. We arrived at 07:30a when there was a single customer in front of us. After a discussion with "Buck" who was at the desk that day, the decision was made to purchase a full set of tires. Unfortunately, the needed tires were at a different store and had to be transported to us. This took the better part of four hours. All one can really expect is good workmanship in a service environment. I feel that Buck made every effort to follow-up on the ongoing situation, gave us regular updates and seemed to extend the same courtesy to each customer he with whom he had interactions. When they were finally received, the tires were swiftly and efficiently mounted, balanced and installed on the car. I gave them a 2 for dishonesty. Went in for a tire balance & rotation and oil change. Was told I'd be there for less than an hour. I was there for 4 hours, they told me that I had a nail in 1 tire that couldn't be patched and that I needed 4 rotors and front AND rear brakes. They quoted me almost $1,200. What I end up getting AFTER I blew them off and checked with a real mechanic... *I had nails in 2 tires ( how did they miss the other nail??) that I had plugged for $18.36. * Didn't need rotors AT ALL. *Bought front and rear brakes. Mechanic put front brakes on and told me to return the rear brakes because I DIDN'T need them. I paid $26.66 for the brakes and $50 for labor. Less than $100 for what they quoted as almost $1,200. Be VERY CAREFUL. Especially ladies. Get an oil change, tire balance and rotation and please get a mechanic to do ANYTHING ELSE. Last time I went to Firestone in Decatur, GA. they told me that I needed a complete tune up. Ended up needing a small job that cost around $150. 100% with the time management and work ethic. I dropped my car off at 3 for a scheduled appointment and was told it would be finished in 2 hours because they closed at 5. When I got there at 5 they were just beginning the 2nd part to the 3 things I needed done. One guy had a plate of food the entire time and you could see them cackling, cutting up, and doing anything but work. I ended up not leaving until 5:45 with a nail still in my tire (something I needed fixed), my oil life setting not changed, and an entire extra 45 mins of my life wasted because. I also appreciate that they made an effort to give me an extra discount by making me aware of the coupon options. Now I did wait a little - yes... This is pretty much the busiest firestone in town. Newsflash there is also a nation-wide auto-mechanic (certified ones that is) shortage, soo too often they are simply overwhelmed, which is why unless you go there during the low customer times (i.e. Monday morning or Sunday), you will probably wait a little bit. read more

Brought my car here after I had issues with another repair place. (See previous review). I dropped my car early. Went to work and came back to wait on it. The guy who helped me, Kenny, was very nice and straightforward. He called me when he said he was going to call me, told me the issues and gave me prices right over the phone. He told me what was priority and what I could wait on. I told him which services I wanted done and he quoted me a price, which is what I paid upon check out. Overall great service. I've patronized multiple Firestone's in multiple cities and they always seem to mess something up. Below is a list of issues I've had the past 3 years and this particular one is guilty of number 1. 1. The oil cap wasn't put back on and didn't notice until I was 500 miles into a roadtrip and splashed oil was burning on my engine block. 2. The battery was dead after service and it had to be re-charged. 3. The power steering fluid cap was left off after service and I didn't notice until my pump was running dry. Shortly after I had to spend $300 on a leak. 4. They didn't connect the intake between filter box and mass air sensor. This cause it to stall on my wife 5 miles down the road and she had to wait to be towed. 5. Tire's had to be re-balanced three times to stop shaking. 6. Power steering fluid was well below the minimum level after a flush and re-fill. 7. They din't pack the ball joint they replaced, then it failed and jacked up my tires. They covered the part only and not the labor. They also did some questionable things with the paperwork to make it look like they didn't mess up. I've given them thousands of dollars over the years, but I will never buy new tires or have my car serviced at a Firestone again. read more

I came in to get a tire plugged where a nail had pierced dead center of the tire. Nowhere near the sidewall. Decided to get an oil change and tire rotation as well since Firestone tires are free rotation with oil change. Three and a half hours later I'm informed I need a replacement tire because the sidewall is too damaged. The hole is nowhere near the sidewall. Nor was the tire driven on when it was flat. They are just trying to sell me a tire I don't need. I am then told that my Bridgestone/Firestone tires are not free and charged for rotation and the oil change. Lied to twice. To top that off they lost my center cap and refuse to do anything about it. NEVER AGAIN. I've used Firestone on military bases for years but I think I'll take my business elsewhere after this. read more

I'm in Augusta from out of town for the weekend with my family and my van breaks down. I called the Firestone and asked them if they can take a look at it that it seems like something is wrong with the transmission and that I need to have it serviced today because tomorrow is Easter and I need to travel home. "No problem!" I'm told. So, I have the tow driver bring my van over only to be told at the counter that not only can they not look at my van today, but that they don't deal with transmissions at all. So, I now have to pay for a second tow truck to bring me to another mechanics in the hope that they will be able to fix my car before they close today. I have been a Firestone customer for years and went out of my way to bring my vehicle to them because I've been so pleased with their service in the past. Instead, these jackasses have ruined my vacation and potentially left me stranded in town for an extra day. Avoid at all costs!!! read more

EVERY single person who brought their vehicle in was hit up for additional "recommended services" to the tune of between $300 and $500. Every single person. I have been here for 2 hours waiting for the replacement of 2 tires...and I had an appointment. I called and made the appt yesterday and was told they had an "empty schedule" today so I thought this would go smoothly. When I arrived, there was another costumer who I believe was a walk-in bc his tires were not in stock. So, I found out that the manager left to pick up the tires and I also realized that no one was working in the shop so nobody was working on any vehicles. As I waited, 2 customers requesting oil changes were turned away, and the walk-in customer's car was completed before mine. Positive: the staff seems friendly. Where do I begin ? I have been going to Firestone Auto Care from Florida to Ga all the way to Northridge, CA. I have had oil changes, lifetime alignment and bought tires from them. They have Always done right by me, until THIS FIRESTONE. Let me go back to last Nov, 2016. I was getting ready to go to Denver and wanted my tires checked and one in particular was always losing air. I did a water check at home to see where the bubbles were and see where it was leaking. I couldn't find the leak so I took it to Firestone because they are the pros, or at least I thought they were. And when I went to pick up my van, they said all was good to go and I paid and got home ready to leave the next morning and low and behold, my same tire that was leaking was about flat, AGAIN. Mind you, these tires were bought through Firestone. So, I called and asked what was going on. The manager said to bring it in and I came to find out the tire was NEVER fixed. He just said they couldn't find the leak. REALLY ??? OMG, you just let me leave without even fixing it or letting me the know the details ? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL at best. Anyway, this is where things get even worse. The manager there gave me a so called great deal which I thought at the time by selling me a tire for $13 total. What ?? Okay, sure, Thanks. So, all was good. I went off to Denver for 7 months and came back to Augusta and I am pulling into my drive way and right then, I get a flat. Okay, no biggie, my dad fixed it and luckily I was in my drive way and see this horrible looking other tire. Most likely the one he sold me for $13 and it was damaged and dry rotted and clearing a defect. My dad, who works in the business said he wouldn't drive it 1 mile because it could have a blow out. So, I called my trusted Firestone and they told me they would NOT honor my warranty due to me putting miles on my van. This had nothing to do with each other. A DEFECT has nothing to do with my miles. I even sent pics that were very telling and the manager said, NO, they would only sell me a new tire. I was really upset and couldn't believe they were dishonoring me. Not only a customer but a long time one. So, I had my van towed to WAL-MART and had them get me a new tire. I would rather give my money to them than EVER give it to a place that clearly RIPS OFF their customers. Oh and to add icing to the cake, ALL the Wal-Mart auto men and lady who checked me in saw the tire and EVERY SINGLE one said the tire WAS DEFECTIVE as I already knew. The lady who checked me in was ticked off for me. She said she would take the tire to them and make them do something. My husband just signed up with them and part of it is to get his vehicle inspected, so that's what we're trying to get done but we had an appt for 10am and it is now 140pm and we just came back to the Firestone and his vehicle is still sitting here! Had a 3 pm appointment and showed up early. At 4:30 my car hadn't been touched. Flimsy excuses for the office staff and told they'd get to it "soon". No apology and maybe a shrug of "what are you going to do" from the clerk. I paid for lifetime tire rotation from Firestone and apparently I have to block out an entire day in order to get what I paid for. Confirmed appointments mean absolutely nothing to these people. Had a similar experience to Candice's and her husband. I am an Uber driver in Augusta and wanted to be able to pick up passengers in South Carolina so I needed to get my vehicle inspected and Uber dictated that I had to go to one of the two Firestone's in Augusta. I printed out a 1-page inspection form from Uber's site and made an appointment at this Firestone for the following day. I showed up 10 minutes early and told the service rep what I was there for. Without saying much he took my keys and the inspection form. I should have asked how long it was going to take but I figured it was a simple inspection. My car didn't get brought into the garage until 35 minutes later and then sat in there for another 45 before I asked what was going on. I was told that they were putting together an "estimate." I told them that I was there to get an inspection only but they said that they go ABOVE AND BEYOND the Uber inspection which is why it takes so long. But that's their normal procedure. Ok... so here's my problem. They should have told me that 1) this was going to take an hour and half and 2) that I was going to have to wait for them to do something I didn't ask for and have to listen to their estimate of all the work they think my car needed. I was pretty upset to say the least. My car passed the inspection yet they had come up with a $1,300 estimate for a bunch of things I really didn't need. If they are going to continue to provide this inspection service for Uber drivers, they should stick to what they are being asked to do, which is a SIMPLE inspection. I have experience working with cars and with inspections and I can honestly say that a mechanic can properly complete this kind of inspection in 15 minutes. Instead, they chose to waste my time and had the mechanic working on several cars at the same time, delaying the whole process, only to tell me my car passed but they recommend I pay them $1300 to do a whole lot of unnecessary work and upgrades. read more

Firestone is at once one of the best and worst things that could've happened vehicle's owner. In august, I received an auto-care at firestone location at 1000 Hostetler Dr, Manhattan, KS 66502 for normal maintenance and Alignment (I put a new lift Kit after market into the truck), they did the maintenance job and they advised me in to signing up for a Life Time alignment service because the nature of the new upgrade on my vehicles (Chevy Silverado truck). I agreed on the services. Last month, I started seen wires in the Tires and the position of the tires looks not normal (need alignment). I stop at the this Firestone location in Augusta. They told me what's the problem is and it's costs 1800$ for service that it been not know from my part to take care of because my last year service with Firestone; they never mention such an issue. I wouldn't know that the issue unless this new service employ mention to me. I waste money, time and I might kill someone just because Firestone didn't wan't to advise in something important in life, like save money and life. I would NEVER recommend any one to have service at Firestone, I hope this messages will reach your management. read more
