Does this look like $30 of (Greasy spoon) food to you??
    Sterling S.

Came in for my first visit. The waitress was a bit dismissive (and got my order partially wrong). The food, a few sides of veggies and potatoes, some ham, coffee and tea ended up being almost $30. I was pretty shocked... this greasy spoon place is expensive!

To start, my service dog was refused entry, which is against Americans with Disabilities Act. I found this off putting as it seems this RV park is home to many retirees, which may likely have service companions. Masks required. Social distancing was being practiced, tables were spaced accordingly. Our table had a direct view of the kitchen. The cook wasn't wearing a mask. On top of that she was also not wearing a hair net nor was it pulled back. As she was cooking our food she kept running her hand through her hair and repeatedly pinning it behind her ears.

I've been here before for lunch and it was good. it's been about 2 years now and we came back for breakfast on our way up north. we ended up sitting down in their outside enclosed patio section. because it was warmer out there than inside. it was very, very dirty. we ordered 2 orders of biscuits and gravy, and 1 side of bacon. the biscuits are dense and tasteless and the gravy is bland. the combo makes for not a very good meal. the bacon is a cheap brand, and was undercooked. all in all not a good experience, besides the waitress being very nice and helpful. I will not return, and won't recommend this place anymore

Stopped here with my husband on our drive between Portland and Seattle - we are always looking for a hearty breakfast and Fireside Cafe delivered. We ordered the Virginia biscuit and gravy and an omelette. The hashbrowns were perfectly well done. Linda shared stories with us and helped us feel right at home! We will be back!

    Looks better than it tastes.

Don't do it. Maybe better in busy season? Dense, tasteless biscuits. Watery thin gravy tasted like spoiled milk. Sausage was a warmed up frozen party from CostCo. Hash browns were out of the bag, wet garbage. Basically, imagine your mom rushing a quick breakfast together on your way to school on a Wed morning. The place had no music. Just silence. Except the sound of the one server/cook yaking on the phone the entire time. Blech.

Denver Omelet and Virginia biscuits and gravy

Who needs IHOP!!! My parents and I ate here for a morning breakfast and it was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The Denver Omelet is packed with all the fixings. No skimping! The Virginia biscuits and gravy with real sausage and an egg over easy tucked under the gravy was amazing! I'm a fan of well seasoned baby red potatoes, and these hit the spot just right! The man in the kitchen the day of our visit, Dan, takes pride in his foodie creations and reaches out to each of his patrons to thank them for coming in. It's the ideal stamp of a small town.

Sorry I was hungry lol Hawaiian omelet!

It's casual, cozy, and just has that small-town charm where you instantly feel comfortable. Our coffee and waters were always filled right on time (which I love). And let's talk about the prices... better than anywhere else in town! We usually split a meal, but this time we didn't have to -- we both got our own. I had the homemade pot roast and wow... melt-in-your-mouth delicious. So much flavor, creamy mashed potatoes, perfectly cooked carrots, and a roll. It's a special through tomorrow night so don't miss out! Total delicious, comfort food. Hubby had the French Dip and didn't leave a single bite. He barely let me have a bite to try it out. Then the mocha cream pie... and yes, I took a bite before getting a picture because it was THAT tempting. No regrets so no judgement on the picture. One of our favorite things about Corner Café is Sherri. She always comes over to say hi, remembers us and our past conversations, and truly makes us feel like family in her home. That kind of love and service is rare. We're posting pics of the food and the new dinner menu -- go try it. You'll be glad you did!

I was pleasantly surprised to see one in Kalama as my in laws live up the road. My experience at this one was really off. I ordered the 20 oz Mayan Mocha with almond milk and they wanted ~$8.5 for it. The sign said $6 for a 20oz. I asked how it came out to that. She said almond milk was .85 cents I was like okay then it should be like $7 with taxes. She said the signs are old and it was ringing up ~7.65 for a 20 oz then .85 for the almond milk. I asked how much was the 16 oz, she said ~$6.45 with taxes for the order then when I went to pay said it was like $7.25. I really don't get the extra charge for the milk alternative either. Milk and almond milk are comparable in price. It's about $4.5 a gallon. Starbucks started to charge one single price regardless of milk option/alternative. I left without coffee this day. I don't think I've ever done that. Warning to customers, watch and be cognizant of what they actually charge you per drink. Pricing is mysterious. I don't like being baited and switched in price.

Wonderful coffee/espresso taste, amazing drinks, and I do love those HUGE egg bites they call strata. This has replaced my favorite coffee stop, which used to be Paper Tiger. Such great taste, and such wonderful humanity.
