On a road trip so we decided to go to the less populous exit 22 in Woodland, WA for our coffee stop. Figured this place had a 4.5 star review and it wasn't a chain as a good sign. Whew... how wrong we were. First, one customer inside, one worker. No masks or mention of them. We waited 10 minutes just to order. She continued to show us her lack of time management when she started our order by warming our kids cookies (she also didn't ask.) I say this to point out, if you're on the road and looking for a quick stop right off the highway and working toward a timeline- this is not the place to go. Second, while there are many options for food and beverage - they are not superior. I ordered myself a blueberry muffin top with icing, it was warmed, the muffin was clearly box mix (faux blueberry flavor) and the icing split in the microwave. It was comparable to a gas station muffin. The kids cookie was the best purchase with Easter M&M's and chocolate chucks, oatmeal, nuts, etc... This brings us to the most important item of the coffee stop - your basic latte. It was comparable to cheap black & burnt gas station coffee. The worker, the owner, put the oat milk on to froth and walked away while it whistled hotter and hotter still. For the sake of clarity, not only was the oat milk burnt, the espresso shot itself must've been burnt. It was and will remain the worst coffee I have ever ordered. read more

Got there not many minutes before they were closing. The owner cheerfully made us two good coffees and we bought a few cookies. The coffee was very good and we enjoyed the cookies. Having worked at a few jobs that customers tended to show up right at closing time (with bosses that seemed to enjoy the profit from the sales but not want to pay me for my time). So I try to give a coffee place or pretty much any business an out when I show up close to closing but the owner made sure to make me understand she was happy to have us there. THANKS! That was very nice (and I would not have been upset at all to have been told she was done for the day! I understand all to well the joys of cleaning a equipment again you had just finished cleaning...as well as the other joys of last minute customers. To be honest we live SE of Portland and do not get up that way often enough but when we do we will try to stop in. A pretty wide menu of sandwiches and other things. The place is a gem! My gf and I stopped in on our way up to Seattle. Their shop is very cute, and really a pleasant surprise aesthetically, compared to the relatively non-description exterior. We got a homemade scone with jelly, and a an iced Mexican mocha. Both were delicious! We really appreciated that many of the pastries were homemade. There are two types of coffee shops in the PNW. There are those that are like Dutch Bros, Starbucks, Peet's ... abundant syrup selection, crazy caffeine choices, and lots of things baked from frozen treats. Then there are the more simplistic coffee shops that only have 7 items on the menu and maybe offer croissants from a bakery down the street but is their coffee amazing. This coffee shop is for you if you enjoy the former. An outrageous amount of syrup options for those who like to get creative with their sweet coffee, lunch for those who need a snack and lots of sitting space. Their coffee isn't that great and they put whipped cream atop our matcha (which is green tea), so that was...unnecessary and interesting. Their name gave me hope that it was there was cute cottage vibes, but it was built like a new franchise building. I digress. I personally prefer the latter option but this would be a good stop for anyone on a journey in need of caffeine and a bit of country music. read more

I honestly rarely write poor reviews. However, this place is so awful, I didn't feel right not saying something. My husband and I ordered bagel sandwiches and coffees here. The sausage in his bagel was uncooked and the bagel itself was extremely soggy. The latte I had was by far the most awful tasting coffee I've ever had in my life. It tasted like burnt water. I'm certain they don't actually use espresso and it's just watered down drip coffee they throw together with milk and flavoring. Also, the lady who took our order was pretty rude and not very helpful. She way overcharged us! I hope this review helps others before they end up here. We ended up throwing everything away and going to the red leaf down the road... spare yourself and go there instead. read more

On my drive home from Oregon, I needed coffee. Fact be told, with a small baby in the back seat.. I need at much coffee I can get, because... well, if you have a kiddo, you know.. So we landed on this place, due to Yelp. We were seduced by the freshly made cookies, which we saw being made. We were seduced by the smell of coffee.. and of course the small, but welcoming menu of sandwiches makes for a tasty combination. The coffee.. strong and delicious. The cookie.. safe, chewy, chocolate and delicious. The sandwich.. egg, sausage, hot, toasty, yum. Verdict... it's a great place, neat a gas station, strip mall... it isn't obvious that you would get all perfection for coffee and coffee related accessories, but here it it. Will I be back? Yes. Great find in a great location. We stopped here on our way out of town and appreciated the thoughtful, clean, fun atmosphere at this cafe. I would like to add a special extra star for their fabulous menu chalkboard! It's probably the best I've ever seen, with illustrations of the sandwiches that they make. It's ironic they have a chalkboard drawing of the difference between a latte, cappuccino, etc when I received the worst excuse for a latte I've ever had in my life. Not a drop of foam. the milk was even screaming to be put out of its misery. Burnt milk on burnt watery espresso shots. The woman didn't aerate the milk at all. I had half a mind to say nevermind I'll take a refund. I took one sip and dumped it out. I didn't want to hurt the gals feelings otherwise I would've dumped it before I even got into my car. Trash. Such a cute place! Their food Was so good i got a salad and it was so cheap for the size and quality. I got the Buffalo ranch salad and the sauce was so good on its own it tasted home made and there were so many toppings. The salad was also so massive which i did not expect. I skipped breakfast today so i was EXTRA hungry and i only even finished half the salad. They also put the sauce on the side so you can add as much as you want which i thought was so smart. I also got the ginger snap cookie which was literally so on point and i ate it with my coffee. The owner is super sweet and she even offered us appetizers to try which were insanely good. Came here on a Monday around mid-day. I'm not a coffee drinker but they had lunch available early, so we decided to stop by. I had an Italian soda which was great and also a Greek/mediterranean salad. My salad was incredible and very reasonably priced! She hooked up the toppings, everything was fresh and delicious. My friend got the veggie sandwich with jalapenos and also said it was great. The owner chatted with us and was super nice and friendly. I plan on stopping by again the next time I'm in Woodland! I've been meaning to stop by here for a while, and I finally did yesterday. First of all, I do not regret it at all! I got a lunch salad yesterday that was so full and satisfying! I ordered the Greek Salad and a Strawberry Cream Muffin. The salad had me so full, that I didn't eat the muffin until this morning. And let me tell you, that muffin this morning topped every muffin I have ever encountered! It even could go up against a cupcake in battle! Every bite was moist and delicious, it wasn't too dense, it was sweet and had a crisp to the top that I adore! I felt like she really gives a care about what kind of food she put out! I was so happy with the food here, that I came back today to get the Clam Chowder. There is clams in every bite, and none of those pieces are too big to handle! I would not recommend this shop. I ordered a Mexican mocha. My espresso shot tasted burnt and watered down. The whole drink was completely undrinkable. I only took two sips and had to toss it out. Really unsure as to how this place had such a high rating. The staff was nice enough. Definitely not the cleanest. I watched her make my sandwich without gloves or washing her hands first. Bought a white chocolate mocha and 2 pastries. While the gal was making the mocha I saw that she added drip coffee into the cup to make it fuller. All I can taste from the mocha is drip coffee. Im not sure if this is the signature taste of this shop or not, but this is not how a white chocolate mocha should taste like. When taking the pastries, she used her bare long A... nails to grab my pastries and put it in the paper bag. No fingers, glove, or tongs, just nails. Must be a signature thing at this shop, it's the most disgusting service I've ever encountered. My son and I end up throwing everything away because it so gross. I would give 0 if i could. read more

Stopped at this little shop yesterday, and loved it. We ordered a triple breve, caramel macchiato, two children's chocolate milks, and a chocolate chip cookie. The espresso drinks were great and perfectly dialed in, the cookie was extra underdone which is my husband's favorite, and the kids drinks were great. I'm giving it 4 stars versus 5 because $2.75 for a child's size chocolate milk seems a bit high compared to other nearby shops in the area. Will definitely be back. PS- the adorable clothing store attached should work towards being more kid friendly or possibly not bring their dog to work (maybe install a gate barrier to separate the two businesses?). The small white dog from the clothing store roamed over to the coffee side thus getting kids excited but we were told the dog isn't small child friendly. Just a tip :). read more
