Filet and Mac N Cheese
Emily L.

First time here and it wasn't bad but definitely could've had some improvements. The bread they bring out is very very good, very soft, very buttery. My husband and I got the smoked salmon dip as an appetizer and he liked it, I was not a fan (and i LOVE salmon) so I was disappointed when I didn't like it. The sourdough that comes with it is good alone. I got the french onion soup and it was hands down my favorite part of my meal. My husband got the bison ribeye and i got the filet (with no bacon wrap) and he liked his ribeye, I was not too impressed with my filet. The char/burning on it was very overbearing and there was not much seasoning. We both had to salt and pepper our steaks. Mashed potatoes were bland and the mac n cheese was alright. Onto the service, our server was nice, didn't chat with us, just order and check-ins which is fine, we don't like a chatty server. But, he did not give his name, which I think every server should. I did notice that we had to ask people to remove our dirty dishes though, our server gave us more bread and did not take the old bread plate away, and we were at a table that could only fit two people, and we quickly lost space. When our appetizer came out, the food runner was trying to find room and i had to say "What if you just take this empty plate and that clears up the table"...... that should've been obvious. I saw a manager walking around but a manager never came to see how everything was going (which is standard practice for a steakhouse). Ambiance was nice. Music wasn't too loud and lighting was good. Again, wasn't bad, but for the price, I was expecting a little bit more.

Traveling through Wyoming. Went to the Firerock Steakhouse for dinne. Had very high expectations due to the reviews. Well I can tell you they exceeded our expectations by a mile. Perfect service. Joshua was a server and he is a fantastic person. Knowledgeable and friendly. Now on to the meal! I had the prime rib and it was the BEST prime rob I have ever had (I'm a somewhat of a prime rib connoisseur). Hubby had the Bison ribeye. Perfection! If you have the chance to visit this establishment, you will not leave disappointed. Thank you Firerock Steakhouse

Great place to go on a Saturday for a glass of wine, some appetizers and a steak, don't come to late because there will be a wait, but always great food!

Absolutely a great dining experience all around Great food, drinks and service. The chicken fried steak may be the best ever. The complimentary dinner rolls are exemplary. Loved the beer, wine and cocktail list rocks. Maybe one of my favorite restaurants.

Stopped here with a coworker while visiting Casper. I was not prepared for all the good restaurants here, and this place was no exception. We did not have reservations and decided to sit in the bar area. It was loud )especially for my hard of hearing ass) but there was a huge group seated in the area, and they seemed to be having a great time, so nothing wrong there. Our server was amazing. She had great recommendations and ensured we were totally taken care of without going over the top. I hadn't had a pork chop in forever, and this was definitely in the top five. The baked potato was huge! Plenty of parking, excellent service, and amazing food. Definitely a place to hit when you are there!

The food, the ambiance, the staff, the management.... 10 of 10 stars. Try the strawberry rhubarb cobbler. It's amazing.

Ordered drinks right when we sat at the table and they came back several minutes later to tell us that they were out of one of the ingredients. Placed our food order while we reordered new drinks and had to wait awhile. Our salads made it out before the drinks. We ordered the Chop House Burger with blue cheese crumbles and fries. Menu indicated that it came with a side of rodeo sauce and had to request it when it wasn't on the plate. I love blue cheese but this had a little too much and made the burger too salty. It was cooked perfectly but would have better with a different cheese or less blue. We also ordered the Famous Filet (6 oz). It was delivered to the table sizzling on a hot plate so I know it just came out of the oven. The waiter asked me to cut into the steak to make sure it was cooked to my liking before they walked away. I would have preferred to wait a couple minutes on the table to let it cook a little more. Delicious! Cooked exactly as requested and very tender.

But clearly, without being anchored in the Hilton, this place would probably be out of business. I really liked the waitress/bartender, but it was clear how exacerbated she was with conditions. I looked at the menu first online and when I arrived, she apologized and said those were out of date. Fine. One diner and one at the bar, I sat at a table. The chair I sat in was really wobbly, so I switched to another as I didn't feel safe given my 6'3" frame. Not much better. So I moved over to the table with a bench. The bench didn't have any functional cushioning, but at least it was stable. When she delivered my beverage, I explained why I moved and she apologized as she knew and that they have been waiting for "their remodel." Later, I heard the waitress apologize to a couple because they didn't have any salt, but they did have pepper! They were taking the food back to their room, so she offered some ideas of where they could find salt. The chicken Cobb salad on Google had a real fried chicken breast, but what they are actually serving is a sliced giant chicken nugget product. They rest was great (salad not wilted or slimy, good toppings) and I liked the blue cheese dressing. So, 3 stars on the overall experience.

After repeatedly asking multiple servers just to get simple drink refills, the situation got so ridiculous that a manager finally showed up. Instead of apologizing or even pretending to care, the manager (Juanita) walked up to our table and bluntly said, "What do y'all want?" in an irritated, bothered tone -- as if we were the inconvenience. All we had asked for were refills. That's it. To make it even more uncomfortable, Juanita was visibly frustrated and snapping at employees in front of guests immediately afterward. Watching staff get scolded while customers sit there wondering why basic service is such a struggle really kills the dining experience. If you're looking for a relaxed meal, attentive service, or even basic courtesy, this is not the place. Expect long waits, ignored tables, and an attitude that makes you regret walking in. Save yourself the time, money, and awkwardness -- there are plenty of restaurants that don't serve steak with a side of hostility. They'll probably respond trying to "address" this, but don't be fooled -- this wasn't a one-off, it was a full experience.

They've also changed their menu quite a few times since inception. First off it's a beautiful restaurant with a nice large parking lot and you'll be seated by a hostess on either the dining room side or the large bar/dining area on the other half of the restaurant. There's many large comfortable booths to sit in unless you want a table which there's plenty of too. Also high top tables for 4/6/8 available on the bar side or you can just sit at the very large bar that's three sided with 60 seats. The bar side is full of TVs. And generally has music videos as well as sports on. After getting seated by your hostess, expect you will get a great experience from your server as they take pride in training their staff very well here and I've never had a bad experience with a server in probably 20/25 visits here. The menu is a little all over the place now there are some interesting and tasty appetizers. The cheese logs and the fried green tomatoes seem to be most people's favorite appetizers. The chicken wings are pretty good though there are limited flavors available. They do an amazing happy hour menu with great appetizer deals as well as good drink deals if you have the opportunity to stop in during this time of day. I think where they shine is with their burgers. I've had some very delicious burgers there. I've also had good Italian type food with their rigatoni , manicotti and their Stromboli's. Their pizza used to be really excellent. And now it's a little hit and miss depending on which type you get. They have their own woodfired pizza Grill, which has the potential to make amazing crust. However, they tend to get ratios of cheese and meats a little off sometimes. The bison chili and the duck gumbo are both pretty good. It's not traditional Cajun gumbo but it's still a pretty delicious soup. I've had a few bad soups here, including the beer cheese and some of the other cheese soups, which were not completely cooked down and were gritty with flour base still noticeable. The fried fish is also a stand out dish that they do. And a lot of people really like their steaks and steak salad. Overall, this is a great place to bring your family or a large group of friends or even a elegant birthday party. You know you'll get taken really good care of and other than it's more on the expensive side you know exactly what you're gonna get every time highly recommended and if you're getting a cocktail, I recommend the huckleberry Mojito. Recommended.
