I love when you can just sit at the bar. You never know who you're going to sit next to and there's never a wait to get a menu. My husband and I took a gander at the menu before getting there, but we wanted to double check to make sure we knew what we wanted. There are SO MANY choices! All sound amazing! I ALWAYS have to order fried okra to see if they get it right and Sanford's definitely does. The Momma Odie's chicken melt was such a spot hitter. The Parmesan garlic crust on the sourdough bread with the melted spinach dip, bacon, and chicken was the perfect balance of flavors. My husband LOVED his pants on fire burger. He said it was the perfect combination of buffalo ranch and melted bleu cheese crumbles with his burger patty. It was the first time he actually used a knife and fork to eat his burger. He got plain fries and those with the pickle were a nice finish. We ended our meal with huckleberry ice cream. It was just what was needed to complete the meal. We can't wait to come back again. Next time, I'm trying that andouille penne. Sidenote: Don't be rude...if you have a big party, like 10+, call and let them know. They ask for 20 minutes in advance. We stood at the entrance inside for 11 minutes while 3-4 separate staff members acknowledged our presence from behind the far counter but no one came to greet us or get us a table. After 11 minutes we were seated and it took 12 minutes to get water and take our order. There were only 3 other families in the entire place. The best part was the bacon and my daughter's bendy straw. The only other time I saw the waitress was to beg her for the bill before we were ignored another 10 minutes. We come through town several times a year visiting family. This used to be our favorite spot to stop because the food was good and they had a back patio where we could sit with our dog. Today is was 80 and we were excited to stop for a meal and relax in the patio area. My husband went in to get the table. I was walking in with the dog on a leash and Marisa stopped us and said they are no longer pet friendly and only service dogs can sit in the patio area. My husband showed her a picture of us sitting there previously and she said, "I won't even entertain it." We were waiting for our son to come out from the restroom and the server came out. we told her we weren't staying due to the dog not being allowed and she told my husband we could bring the dog to the patio. It was very confusing and at that point we didn't feel welcome by management so we chose to leave without eating. read more

Wow! All I can say is come hangry! A small order of ORings arrived on a hub cap. Large order on trash can lid! Made a dent in the rings but hate to see them go to waste, but there's no room left Had the Circle of Meat- good but to me a bit heavy on the salt. Steak cooked perfectly, mashed taters and shrooms were awesome as well. Just too much for a person to eat. I did my best but there was just no way. Dessert - Yeah right. Sanford's is so much more than a bar and restaurant so I'm rating it on ALL it has to offer! Nowhere can you enjoy so much eye candy that you just keep gawking, even while you're chewing! This place is entertainment as much as it is great food, great drinks and great service! We were greeted immediately at the door, as were all other customers as they walked in. After reading other reviews, I felt maybe they had upped their game in response. That's always a good sign!! Our server came right away and helped us make drink selections even though she said she wasn't old enough to try them! She was telling us what customers had told her, I liked that!! The bartender brought our drinks out and was very friendly and took the time to chat for a second or two! We took some time to review the huge menu and our server checked on us to see when we were ready. My husband ordered the Jambalaya and I ordered the Bubba Gump's Shrimp. We got soup or salad with our meals, I chose salad and hubby chose the soup, which was gumbo. The salad came on a cookie sheet!!! It was big and the blue cheese dressing was delicious! It's usually generic bottled, this may have been homemade. The gumbo was a meal all on it's own and hubby loved it. Then our dinners came and they were ginormous!! If I could give this less than 1 star, I would. Burger was gross. Fries (minus the first 5, which were ok) were swimming in a pool of oil. Told the waiter 'no bread'. Burger came with bread. Drinks were weird. Queso was disgusting. Didn't even taste like cheese. Green chili on top gross. Olives tasted off. The only safe item was the chips....they came from a bag. This is an interesting venue with good food and an interesting ambience. I believe we have stopped here for a meal EVERY TIME we have driven through Caspar. To put things in their proper perspective, there aren't many restaurants to pick from in Caspar, Wyoming and there are no other towns of consequence for hundreds of miles in any direction. That said, you could easily do a lot worse than grabbing a meal at Sanford's Grub Hub. Their food is quite good and reasonably priced. But their service is just a tad better than abysmal. It is friendly service, I will grant them that much. But it is slow and inattentive. Beware their servings portions. They are enormous. We are not a family of effete vegans. We know how to eat! But we've learned to order only two entrees for our family of four (and we STILL have more food than we can eat). read more

Our waitress was Kathleen R., and the service was top notch. The menu is huge, so we were skeptical that a place that's not super busy could pull off the execution on so many menu choices. But the two items were ordered were great. My wife had the taco salad. I had the Cajun fajitas. Both items were very good. Just a warning on the Cajun fajitas. It is NOT Mexican fajitas. The flavors are Cajun. If you're looking for traditional fajitas you will likely be disappointed by this dish. As other yelpers have posted the portions are very generous. read more

Sandford's on a Friday night (Highschool football night) is probably not where you want to be but every other better scaled restaurants in Casper were just as packed. It took about twenty minutes to get sat but the hostess allowed me to review the drink menu and the actual menu while my hubby and I waited. Once we were sat our waitress was really super friendly and offered up her favorites off the menu. We chose the Jalapeño bites and mozzarella stix, both were very good I have never had a raspberry jelly to dip my poppers in taught myself something new to try again. The mozzarella sticks were really good as well. For my cocktail I chose the Belushi the combination was quite tasty. They have cool bottled kid named drinks for the wee ones I did not try any nor did I bring along wee ones. Where a Star was lost was my dinner I ordered the Bubba Gump Shrimp Cream Penne the shrimp was very small (popcorn shrimp size) and I wasn't a fan of the favor. The parmesan was not grated side table which is no big deal but do it or take it off the menu. The garlic bread was really good. The amount of food for the price okay wish they offered half portions. The decor of this restaurant was just amazing lots to look at. Loved the way the paper towels were displayed at each table very convenient. The prices are RIDICULOUS!!! Only steak I saw on the menu was sirloin. The cheapest sirloin was nearly $30.00. And each steak went up in price if just a seasoning was added. The sirloins are $30.00 plus. That's the worst cut steak, next to chuck. I don't know if their prices are jacked up, just because they're next to a truck stop.
