We came in with about 40min til close & started browsing the beer options, while chatting about the Hop Passport and the Harvest Host Program. We loved the large lot & it's nice to have options for those larger vehicles to visit, even if not staying. The raised deck allows for a spectacular view & was still occupied when we left. I can see why it would be hard to walk away from it! Several beers were tapped out &, sadly, due to an equipment malfunction, we weren't able to get either nitro option - thus - Danger Noodle (4.25) & Gruner Bock (4.25) were the brews we went with. read more

Our go to stop for Harvest Host RV program. Friendly staff and great beer. Second party restaurant for food is less than stellar. Pizza is a paper thin flatbread with mediocre toppings. Not worth $16. Ample parking and great beers! The tap room and live music are awesome. Take a brewery tour as well. read more

Stayed as a Harvest Host RV guest, our 2nd time within 2 weeks as we stayed on our way to the Spring NASCAR Race in Kansas City and on the way back, the staff were great and met the owner Ben Gruner on the stop on the way back. Had 3 meat pizza and cheese curds, the curds were a tad greasy but the pizza made up for it :) Told Ben the Fluffy Cow is one of the best IPA's I've had and suggested power for the RV spots would be nice, he said they are working on BIG things to come. A little noisy as it is an open area but very nicely decorated we will be back. read more

If you're in Casper and you like sours, Gruner Brothers Brewing is a must. Garden Kriek is my go-to there. It's got that real tart cherry bite like a sour should, but it's still smooth and easy to drink. Not syrupy sweet, not "punch-you-in-the-mouth" sour... just right. I could sit there and drink those all night, which is probably why it's a good thing I don't live next door. The crew there makes it even better. Margo, the bartender, is awesome--friendly, quick, and actually knows what she's pouring. Kat, the manager, keeps everything running smooth without it feeling all uptight. And shoutout to Ben and Darrin, the owners, because they built a place that feels welcoming and local, not like some fancy "look but don't touch" brewery. If you like sours, go grab a Garden Kriek. This is a difficult review. As a brewery, I like Gruner Brothers for the venue and their beer selection. The food situation is the problem. Since they've opened, they keep changing food purveyors and menus, some things good, some bad, and the split ordering arrangement is just clunky and weird. You have to order food at one counter and order beer at a different counter, but they can at least put it on one ticket now. My last experience just turned me off completely. I ordered a standard cheeseburger and what I got was essentially the same size as a McDonald's double cheeseburger and a small handful of fries for $12! After my meal, I left feeling ripped off and still hungry. read more

Yes, I have had Gruner Brothers Brewing before but while I was in Casper I made it a goal to hit all of it's breweries and indeed I did! The location seems like the biggest facility as breweries go out of all the ones I visited for the town. This time I had the Ben Light Pils which was good! I always do enjoy pilsners and this one didn't disappoint at all. Flavors to look for with this pilsner are clean, sweet, clean and watery in flavor. The wateriness is purposeful and nothing to do with it not being well made. After you have had as many beers as I have had you just can tell the difference as to what is purposeful and what isn't for the flavor bouquet in a beer. This pilsner is also very light bodied and bubbly. In addition to the beer I purchased some pretzel bites for a snack and they were very good. I don't know if it's always set up this way but when I came later in the evening I ordered food at one counter and my drink at another but perhaps it was later and earlier in the evening you place your order in one spot but I don't know that for sure. Good second experience with this brewery and well worth returning to. I even bought a brewery t shirt here which completed the beer experience nicely! read more

Great location with wonderful view of Casper and mountains from the spacious deck. Brewery and restaurant are kinda separate but connected which was strange. Bill was common though. Really good beers. Food Menu was a bit limited. We had a Cajun smash burger with onion rings and bang bang shrimp appetizer. Shrimp was delicious, perhaps the best I've had. Burger and rings were also delicious. Only complaint was the burger roll looked like Walmart special. Also, a bit echoey inside made it harder to talk. Staff was very friendly. Great conversation with the brewmaster. Overall a great choice! read more

Beautiful restaurant! I drank the North Platte IPA beer (when in Rome) and it was excellent! My wife had the lasagna which was excellent and had a LOT of cheese. I had the Dave's pizza to myself and ate half. Good size portions for a brewery. The staff was very young. The 70's rock music was fun and not too loud. Our server Chrissy was super sweet. If it was not soooooo windy outside today, the deck would have been fantastic to sit on and eat. I suggest you try this place. read more

This was our second visit to Gruner Brothers Brewing. We are full time RV'ers and stayed with them twice through Harvest Host. First of all, they are amazingly RV'er friendly. Large areas to park with great views, and great walking path nearby. The craft draft beers we have tried are top shelf. We have tried the burger, chicken tenders and the Yardbird. Everything was tasty. My personal favorite was the Yardbird sandwich. The owner, Sonya, gave a personal and informative tour of her brewery. If you are in the area, visit Gruner Brother Brewery. Relax, have a cold local brew, and enjoy the view of Casper, WY. read more

The beer is excellent but the petro pup food needs improvement my extra crispy fries were actually soggy, I paid for steak dinner only finding out they were out and had to order a garlic mushroom burger that wasn't garlicky or very few mushrooms and the burger was dry. They couldn't even refund me right away I have to wait a day or two. Gunner brothers itself is a great harvest host when not having a car show and you can actually park you RV. read more

Enjoyed our visit but it was quiet and a little awkward because when we came in there was nobody there. Had to walk around to find someone and ask how the establishment works since we'd never been here. They're dog friendly and have a nice outdoor patio area, but it's not accessible from the outside, so you have to walk inside and walk with your dog directly outside. Once we got settled, we got a couple of beers and shared some appetizers and those were great, but the service is mid. We'd visit again. read more

This place was near our hotel and we wanted a quality beer with a nice dinner. We got here and the view is spectacular overlooking the mountains and the city. The beer was okay. We opted for IPAs and then ordered food which is a separate operation. The food was horrible. We ordered brats and they were so overcooked they resembles casings filled with sawdust. No amount of mustard could cure this. Since was during a stayover in Casper, I can't give them my usual three trips overall yea or nay. Gruner Brothers is located in the old Petroleum Club, overlooking Casper. With spectacular views of Casper Mountain you can sit on their large patio/deck and bask at the view for hours while you sip on their fantastic selection of homemade brews. Started by two brothers that are very involved with the business they serve beers up in their large tap room and bar top Tuesday though Saturday. They also have a canning plant right there in the building where they make nearly a dozen types of six packs that are sold in stores. You'll be surprised to find that they have a great selection of everything from a light Pilsner to a regular Pilsner to a brown ale to oatmeal stout as well as generally ones to three styles of IPAs. They also have a Belgian style, a pale ale, and a Hefeweizen. Then on top of that they do seasonal beers that included my favorite a cherry Kriek style beer. You'll see at least one of the brothers working behind the bar pouring beers or running around helping out with other tasks. These guys really are hands-on and also do tastings around town at the local liquor stores. They are very kind and will take the time to talk to you about other beers for as long as you can take it. Also currently located inside the BAR and tasting room is the restaurant Ludovico. Which has been there for a year now and is ran by another local business owner who is very passionate about his pizza. They also carry other Italian food as well as cuts of Wyoming steaks on the weekends. Going to Brothers brewery also hosts lots of events like acoustic guitar performers as well as stand-up comedians. You have to check the Facebook page to find out what events are going on. Overall I'd say that this is one of the most fun places in town to just hang out with your friends and catch a good beer and get a good snack if you need one. Also like I said when the weather is right you have to be out on that deck because it is just beautiful and you get good service out there as well. read more

The beer and location are great! We went in winter so we couldn't enjoy the great deck but the view was still great. The building, is great and there are board games and darts for entertainment. I only saw one small TV but the view kept our attention. The food was a huge disappointment. Wings were freezer burnt, burgers were lack luster. Our second time here as we pass through Wyoming, and we're still very pleased with the food and beer quality. The food selection is small, but enough to satisfy just about anyone. This is a fabulous brewery! We stopped here for beer and some appetizers. Owner is super nice and friendly and chatted with us for a bit. We tried a few of the beers and they were all great. This is a really cool brewery. It's a little confusing initially due to the food being made by one company and the beers being done by another company. That being said, the employees of both were very friendly and came to the table to get my order. Tried 2 beers, both of which were fantastic! I started with the A.OK Oktoberfest (great beer), then the Beulah Brown (what a nice flavor to this one!) and now I just started the Devilito, a supposedly Belgian Style beer. We stopped by over the weekend and were impressed with the entire place. The beer selection was excellent, and everyone at our table was very happy with the taste. The service was well above average, and more than I expected from a pub. The staff was friendly, knowledge and not afraid to help us make our selections. This place is really big with a nice outdoor seating area with wonderful views of Casper and the mountain. Very family-friendly, which is nice to see. There was a station with fresh made pretzels for sale, as well as other baked goods - it was all really good. We ended up ordering a couple of veggie burgers and liked them a lot. We also noticed a food truck outside that had a lot of other choices. Really, there were a lot of food options, and more than I would expect. A live band started playing right about the time we left, but we didn't stay long enough to give an opinion on the music. They were so welcoming and accommodating not to mention their taps were outstanding! They have a citra hop on Nitro you wouldn't believe plus their Belgian would rival Duvel or LeTrolle, Wyomingnians - get in here and support this brewery!! I came here looking for Mouthful but only finding signage for the Brewery. I decided to check it out since I love a good brew and wanted to see if they served food. Walked in and they were not busy at all, only having 5 tables of people there. Only a single table even had food, and they were finished eating. I realized that I was actually in Mouthful because of signature "M" burned into the top of the kid's half-eaten burger (as seen in the numerous photos for Mouthful). Everyone else was waiting for food, and based to the conversations, irritability, and number of empty glasses, all had been waiting for food for quite some time. Despite a couple of employees in the room, including the bartender, I was not greeted at all and eventually just had a seat. I was never approached or even acknowledged. I didn't even get to see what signature beers this brewery had to offer. After waiting for 10 minutes I finally left, still having never spoken with staff member. If this is how their service is on a lowly Thursday evening, I can't imagine trying to come to this place on a Friday or Saturday night. I am very disappointed, as I was looking forward to getting a burger and trying some beer. Do not come to this place if you are hungry or expect normally-timed service. If you plan on sitting for hours with some friends (maybe drinking beer if you ever get served) then this place may not be so bad. read more
