I was spending the night at the Comfort Inn next door so I walked over to the Outback for dinner. I saw the mixed Yelp reviews before I made my decision but I didn't want to drive to find a place to eat. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and seated immediately. The place was clean and about half full ( 0r half empty for you pessimists ) with patrons. My server was Brian and he delivered excellent service with my meal. I ordered an Outback burger, fries, house salad and a tall Fosters. I ordered my burger medium well but it was well done. The fries were ok and the house salad was just ok. The beer was good though. Brian provided good service but the food was very average. The next time I spend the night in Evansville I will go to HQ bbq or Texas Roadhouse which are both within walking distance of the hotel. read more

We've been here many times and have always had great service, great food and decent prices.

I've eaten here three times in the last year and a half. One time it was awesome everything was cooked right and the service was above average. I had a ribeye and it was delicious. The other two times it was awful. I had ribeyes that were not cooked right one almost raw the other was like shoe leather. Cold potatoes and horrible service. I was trying to show an acquaintence a good time in Casper by taking his family there. He was given a square chop steak in place of the ribeye he ordered. Called the manager and asked to be charged for the steak he had. She proceeded to tell us all that was a ribeye. He is from Texas and I am from Nebraska I'm pretty sure I can tell what kind of steak I'm eating. No discount, no apology. It was father's day and the waitress decided to share that her dog was a father thus comparing us to her dog. Very nice! Never eat ther again! read more

On top of the other things I recommended, I also recommend the onion petals rather than a blooming onion as an appetizer. It's less greasy and not as much. Plus they go great on a salad. Outback is if nothing else, always consistent. Consistently feeding me too much bread so I am full when the meal comes . I ate at outback when I lived in Missouri and now here in Wyoming. They always have decent food, I've never had a bad experience at any of them that I can remember. I get ribs at least once everywhere I go. They were good as usual. I've never been to Outback and this was a pleasant surprise! Clarice was knowledgeable about the menu and was sure to check up on us. I ordered the bone in ribeye cooked medium but it was pretty rare. The vegetables on the side were perfectly cooked! Came back for one of the burgers that looked way good. And surprise surprise it was good! Temp perfect, seasoning was flavorful and real swiss cheese! Steak tacos on lunch specials menu are yummy also! I dont recall the waitresses name, however she was great! She took great care of us and all the dinners around us. (Tall, thin brunette with colorful tattoo.) Because of her service and the awesome burger we will be back for lunch again. Just wanted to give you a big 5+ review for this restaurant. It is my son's birthday today and he happens to be sick and wanted to get Outback for lunch. I called and spoke with the owner who happened to answer the phone. He wrote down my long order and then my husband went to pick it up. We were pleasantly surprised. They not only gave us exactly what we had ordered (which doesn't always happen with other food places) and also gave my son a special birthday surprise - several pieces of cake (to share with his brothers and family), along with ice cream and all the toppings - completely complimentary. It really cheered up his day and we really appreciated their thoughtfulness and them taking time to get everything perfect with our order. We will definitely be back to Outback here in Evansville. This is a chain, obviously, but if you don't want fast food, you are limited in Casper. However - I have to say the service and door service -- overall appearance of the place is way better than the reviews say here. I think it's under new management and I had a great experience. It's a chain restaurant which means that it stays pretty consistent, and while you may not get crazy good food, there is solid, flavorful food with decent service. I would only say that there's a little bit of a staff issue. For the most part everyone was friendly, but we went awhile waiting for silverware after our food was delivered.
