    Ribeye

The cooking rock intimidated me...I added the blue cheese to my ribeye. I feel the flavor could have been improved if they cooked the cheese into the steak. Overall flavor was nice and I appreciate that. I also had the coconut pie which was ok. The server was absolutely fantastic!

    Live music by Mark!

I've always enjoyed dinner here, but my favorite is on a hot summer night, sitting outside next to the golf course. And tonight there happened to be live music by a friendly gentleman named Mark. I'll come back again, trust me.

This restaurant is so yummy, and sharing this meal with Rob and Lori was such a delight. We all chose a dish that comes on a black rock heated to 500 degrees that we got to cook ourselves the way we wanted it. What was so great about cooking ourselves is that our entire meal was always hot. As a person who eats vegetarian I was super impressed by how many options there was on their menu for me to choose from. Now let me talk about our server Victoria who was absolutely lovely! She was knowledgeable, friendly and gave us great service. If I lived here I would definitely be back and I would request Victoria.

Located on a golf course that's open to the public. The atmosphere was warm and pleasant. Food was delicious and the waitress gave excellent suggestions.

    Crab & Artichoke Dip

We came here with a large group. The service was great. Our waitress was attentive and handled the large group like a pro. The food was mediocre at best. We started with the crab artichoke cheese dip. While it was good, it tasted only of cheese and artichoke, we couldn't detect any crab or see any. The crackers it came with were good. I had the gnocchi brisket for an entree. The gnocchi, veggies, and sauce were delicious, but the brisket was bland, dry, and reminiscent of chopped pastrami lunch meat. For the price, I expected more from the seafood and meats in the dishes. I'd give it another try if I was out that way.

Best food we have had in a restaurant in mid-Michigan in many YEARS. Absolutely delicious flavors and kind, professional staff. The bread and butter were so delicious I ordered some to go. Steak was seasoned well and very tender. Highly recommend

Good great! Ambiance great! Service, terribly slow! No contact back from management at all, local Fortune 500 company owner so proudly brought us there said he goes there all the time only to feel so embarrassed at the slow service overworked waitress who did the best she could handling both the outside and inside seating! 10 minutes in lobby before we were even seated in a pretty empty restaurant!

Tried the special creole pasta and it was delicious. A cool spin on pasta with andouille sausage.

Huge Easter buffet better than any luxury cruise ship. Large families placed in nice banquet space and great service.

I was in Lansing, MI for one night only and the hotel host recommended this restaurant. OMG she did…read morenot disappoint me with this recommendation. The staff was extremely kind and helped me with making suggestions. The duck ravioli was delicious (the sauce was like warm) I would have preferred it hotter but undeniably good. I'm really sad because I think I make the best steak at home of course but this steak was the bomb. It was cooked perfectly. I asked for medium and they delivered. The pork belly in the Brussel sprouts was so tender and flavorful. The restaurant is a little small so I recommend making reservations. My drink was okay (but I'm heavy handed) so alcohol might have been in it. Lol I will definitely be back.

PHENOMENAL... but let me explain…read more I will start off by saying this place is tiny. If you try to walk in, chances are you will not get a table. I tried twice with no luck. I finally got in with a reservation and I was not disappointed. You absolutely must order steak here. Skip the sea bass or chicken and go for what they are known for. The Cowboy Ribeye was perfection. Juicy, seasoned beautifully, and so good that even though we ordered bleu cheese and horseradish sauce, we hardly touched them. Honestly, you do not need garnishes. To make the meal even better, try the Brussels with Pork Belly as a side to share. I could do without the pork belly, but the dish still worked really well. For a drink, the Nightcap was delicious and hit the spot. At first I was unsure, since the restaurant is small and the table next to us had a group of very loud business men, which made it hard to talk. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars for atmosphere. Thankfully they left early in our dinner, and the rest of the experience was wonderful. The service was excellent. We were told the steaks might take some time since they are large, but it did not feel like a long wait at all. I will definitely be coming back when I am craving steak. Come hungry because the portions are big. Highly recommended.

Another great date night with Bowdies and Houston friends! We made a 7:15p reservation for Monday…read morenight and got sat in the main dining room this time (definitely will always request this side now). We were welcomed with drinks and toasted bread. Our party of 4 enjoyed shrimp cocktail, oysters, mushrooms, fries and Caesar salads to start. This time, we decided to share the ribeye and our server carved it for us table side. Our steaks were cooked perfectly medium rare and I loved having a side of creamy horseradish to dip. Fancy date on Monday night is the way to go - not overly crowded/busy, casual atmosphere, and gastronomically delightful.

Overpriced and underwhelming…read more In any other city, this place would have its lunch eaten by better operations / food. ~$125 per person (before tip) for 2 steaks (ribeyes), 3 sides, and 2 Diet Cokes is a bit much considering the quality of food. Fries and brussels were delicious, but the lobster mac is overrated (bland) and our steaks were mediocre. Both were slightly overcooked (not a dealbreaker, but for $85/each I'd expect better). Add in the fact that they just drown them in butter and salt to hide the poor cooking (somehow, very little sear and barely any grill marks on one of the two steaks). Service was excellent - I'll give it that, but it was a little slow at the end once our meal had concluded to get us packed up / being a check. Atmosphere - it feels upscale, but that's just because of the prices and menu selection / options. Food came out quickly, portions were good for the price. They also validate parking for the lot just behind their building (street parking is tight / limited). Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we'd come back. Good news is, there are lots of other options for special occasions in town so weigh your options before booking here.
