This place is a pool hall first and foremost. It is a good pool hall. Tables are kept in good shape and hourly rates are very reasonable especially when compared to similar establishments in west Michigan. Drink prices are very good and pours are generous. A little tip - if you want to listen to "your" music get the TouchTunes app and you can usually take over the jukebox if you're willing to pay. read more

Fun restaurant portion that has surprisingly great food, but the staff and service is underwhelming. We first sat down on Saturday night and it was very slow (1/4-1/2 full), but it took the waiter about 5 minutes to come up to us and then another 5 to get us our drinks. The appetizer was very good (cheese fries) and priced great ($7), but it came out about 3 minutes before our meal. I order a strip steak which was charred perfectly and was one of the better steaks I've had in a long time. The broccoli was cooked perfectly, but the carrots, onions, and garlic bread were not tasty. While waiting, there's bags/ corn hole to play, which is distracting, so I'd recommend playing music or turning up the TVs louder so people eating don't only hear the people playing. Also, there isn't a lot of room for cornhole, so tables on either end may get a bag in their food haha read more

We had to literally work our way around two guys smoking right and I mean right at the front door to get in. All we could smell in the vestibule and inside the front door was cigarette smoke. Came in on a Sunday night and it was dead. The overhead music was terrible, very static. We ordered just appetizers we had the truffle fries, bucket of bones, steak tips and potato salad. The bucket of bones were ok, good flavor. The potato salad was good, the truffle fries were good as well. I didn't care for steak tips... they were tender but not the flavor. We tried this place twice because we where told the all you can eat perch was good. Biggest perch I have ever had, not sure what they where no flavor. Service very slow The second time the service was almost like no service. No ketchup had to grab off another table that left. No refill of drinks had to bring up to bar ourselves. So awful...where to begin... I went here with my fiancé and mom this weekend. We originally planned to go to Crazy Horse, but their wait was longer than we wanted. So, we came here. The decor on the exterior was pretty disappointing - very "biker bar"-esque with ultra reflective window coverings and a somewhat loud sign. Entry into the restaurant was incredibly confusing - the decorations suggested that the place wants to be finer dining and rustic/"cowboy" simultaneously. The overhead music was instrumental versions of today's hits redone as "elevator" music. The booths and tables were somewhat old/obviously repurposed. Seating gave a feeling of distance rather than intimacy. Our waiter was ok - he had been with the restaurant for a week. He explained the special and took our drink orders in a timely manner. As we browsed the menu - appropriately sized albeit expected for a steakhouse/grill - we had some questions about plates. When speaking with the waiter, he commented "I hope you order the maple glazed salmon - I haven't seen that dish yet!"...oh boy. Things go downhill from there. I ordered a ribeye with smashed red potatoes and coleslaw. The coleslaw, truly, was the worst I've ever had. It tasted like Miracle Whip, and it was grossly underseasoned. The "smashed" potatoes were a gummy mashed potato that had been dispensed with a pastry bag. They were tasty, but the texture was consistent with wallpaper paste. And finally the steak. I ordered medium rare, which the majority was cooked to that temperature (some rare...not a big deal on my end). It was poorly trimmed and woefully underseasoned. It appeared to have been slapped on a grill without any salt or pepper. It was incredibly disappointing. My fiancé and mom ordered a NY Strip and half-slab, respectively. The strip was to be Medium-Well...most was Med. Rare. The baked potato and side salad looked fine. The ribs were completely doused in a red, sugary barbecue sauce. They appeared fairly tender but were revolting visually. The kicker to this is that the waitress for the table next to ours hovered and encroached on our waiter's space, coming by for awkward conversation. For another party, the individuals commented on having to call an Uber after sharing some wine. The waitress, in all of her tact, commented (and I quote) "You should call Lyft. They're much friendlier and you don't have to worry about something like Kalamazoo happening" (in reference to the KZoo Uber killing). Truly revolting and reprehensible behavior in a service industry. This place was terrible. I'll never be back. read more

I am visiting from out of state, and decided to visit here on a Friday night since it looked busy. As I entered, I could see it was very empty, but decided to try it anyway. The guy at the front busted my chops about my Pabst Blue Ribbon shirt, but the funniest part was his busted teeth. No entry allowed. What a downer! Took my wife there for Valentine's day and it turned out to be the worst place we have ever eaten. She ordered her steak med and it came to the table rare. We sent it back and they brought the same steak out again with just ends seared. We also ordered a bucket of shrimp served over ice and the shrimp came to the table hot, a big no-no on the food safety world. The waitress didn't even know what kind of Chardonnay that had and it was terrible. I asked for a double absolute and orange juice and I'm positive it was bar vodka. They still tried to bill us for the whole meal but we got them to give a 20% on the meal and remove the shrimp. Needless to say we will never go there again. read more

As we walked in I heard a radio station full of static blaring. The decor was not impressive. Just looked like a bunch of skids thrown together and 2x8 boards attached to the old ceiling tiles. The service is not impressive. Does not pay attention to details and acted like she did not want to serve us. This is before we even ordered the meal. But after complaining about the radio. It has improved. The food is good or average. The potato salad is very good The food did move the rating from 2 to 3 stars. I would be tempted to come back for the potato salad. I gave it one star only because it didn't give me the option of 0 stars. Not sure where to start...the food or the service. The food...ordered 2 appetizers and an entree. First appetizer was the crab rangoons. They were decent. Came with a sweet sauce that went well with the crunchy coating. Second was the bucket of bones which were supposed to rib tips in bbq sauce. What they were was ALL FAT! Completely inedible and disgusting. Finally the entree, chicken fajitas, was ok. Chicken was bone dry because it was over cooked. All in all, not an enjoyable meal, but it was certainly better than the service. The service...started off well. It was seat yourself and server came quickly for our drink order. Returned quickly with drinks and took our order within 10 minutes of being seated. Those were the only drinks we received, because she never refilled our empty glasses for the remainder of the meal. When I told her the rib tips were all fat, she replied, "I'll see if they can put more down for you" and quickly walked away. OK so maybe I just got a bad batch. She return several minutes later and said "they are willing to put more down but they're telling me they are all like that sooooooo" No apology, no can I get you something else. She didn't even remove them from the table. I responded no thanks, they are inedible, we'll just take the check. She brings the check WITH the rib tips still on them! I call her over again and say, "these are inedible so they should be removed from the check." Again no apology, but this time she wants to argue with the customer (me!) by telling me that ribs are always all fat. I explained that it wasn't the first time I've eaten ribs and no, they are not all fat and usually have meat on them. Her response..."well I'm going to have to go talk to somebody to see if we can remove it cause that's what ribs are here." She comes back with the updated check and puts it down on the table with a one word greeting, "here." Is this server kidding me? First, she in no way, shape, or form offers to rectify the situation after finding out I am not interested in eating pure chunks of fat, then wants to argue with the customer about removing them from the bill, and now gives ME an attitude? If you are going to survive in the service industry on tips, you might want to work on being a little more empathetic...or at least hide your annoyance with your customers because needless to say, there was no tip left based on this level of service. I was blown away with their service, blown away with the quality of their pizza, and thrilled that I partnered with such a great place for this event. Still very new. Our server had been working here three months while the place has only been open four. Decent selection of craft beers, tasty truffle/parmesan fries, a big portion of ribs in my chicken and ribs combo, and excellent steak salads for my wife and in-laws. The outside is nothing to look at, but the decor inside was muted for the most part (six screens for the sports addicts). Looks a bit sketchy from the outside and that has definitely deterred us from trying it in the past. If they would repair the holes behind the sign and slap a fresh coat of paint, I really think they'd have more clientele. This was our first visit on 1/6/18 and we only ended up trying it because some our favorite places had too long of a wait and our kids were ravenous. The inside is really decorated nicely and the staff was very attentive. We let our waitress know right away that our kids were hungry and she recommended the nachos which she said come out in 4-5 minutes. They were a big hit at our table and she was right about the turnaround. The nachos are not made from tortillas but rather, deep-fried pitas and we love that style of nacho. We brought the game of Farkle to play with our kids and knew from the moment that we arrived that this place didn't mind the kiddos or family activities. The pool hall section is attached but completely separate from the dining area. You can probably order food on the pool hall side as well but we didn't venture over there. We also ordered the beer-battered perch dinner...it was HUGE. It was flavorful and quite good and to no fault of theirs, I do prefer a more lightly-battered perch offered in some of our other local spots. My son had a burger with cheese and it was quite good. My husband had the fried chicken salad and it was good enough. Salads are not their forte', definitely stick with the red meat selections. We will definitely be back. Not necessarily because we found the food amazing but because it was decent enough food and great service; ambiance and the dining seemed kid-friendly as far as not caring that we sat there to play a game. read more

We use to come here for Pho for lunch and it was very good. This place use to be a bar/pool hall and it has changed for the best! We had a nice cesar salad for two to start and the a couple of nicely poured glasses of wine. They ran out of t-bone's but the wife and I had a couple of very lean rib eye steaks that were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. We always have said Holland needs a good steak house at a reasonable price and this is it! Try it and you won't be disappointed! read more

Hubbs and I just recently moved back to Michigan and we see Railhouse Grill is not too far from our house. You guys have to try this place. During lunch they have buy one get one burgers with these fantastic home made chips. We got the bacon cheddar burgers. Delicious! We also got an order of crabmeat rangoons that were way better and larger than any chinese restaurant. Well done, Railhouse. We will be back and encourage others to give this place a shot. read more

A really amazing new atmosphere here, the remodel is absolutely beautiful. It's not just pool, drinks, and a bar atmosphere anymore..... It's actually a really great experience/atmosphere for a family dinner. The food and new menu are top notch.... The margarita flat bread is amazing!!!! Also great for a night out on the town for drinks and a little pool with friends. The drink prices are very competitive and don't break the bank. Love this place.... Ok, Holland..its time to WAKE up to this place!!! beautiful atmosphere...food was out of this world...went on Monday day and it was BUY one Burger get one FREE.....the were fresh not frozen ..fries were great..service was on spot......This guy put alot of money into this location it is time to support him...soooo people of HOLLAND get out of your normal routine and check this PLACE out.. Monday buy one get free on burgers it should have been packed in there and I was stumped on how this was being missed by the fine folks of this town...I have been in the resturant busy myself most of my life and really saw a place with alot potential..allllllll it needs is YOU!!!! Family went this week and had a good experience. The Ribs were a touch sweet for my taste and if you are calling them house smoked please smoke them. Wings were tasty and the buy one get one burger deal is hard to beat (we missed it by 30 minutes). Plenty of food for the price good beers on tap and bottled. The food was delicious. I had the Casey's bacon burger. It was cooked perfectly. The burger came with a bucket of hand cut fresh fries. My husband had the Cajun chicken pasta. He loved it. The salad dressings are home-made. One of the best Ranch dressings I have had. My daughter had the kids ribs. The meat literally fell off the bone. After a five minute discussion over whether or not I fit their ridiculous dress code, I made it in only to be met with subpar service and overpriced drinks. I can understand if they are busy but how could it take over 15 minutes to refill a simple draft beer? Overall this place is a dive bar pretending to be something bigger. read more

This was our second visit to the restaurant. Our first experience was fantastic....had great conversation with chef James, food and service was great . After tonight, we will never go back. Service was terrible. Waited so long without getting our food that we left. Our drink order was screwed up ( one VO and water and one iced tea). When the drinks finally did come, I got my VO and water and my wife got an ice water. Ten minutes later she got her iced tea. The place was NOT busy......three other tables. One table of two who arrived after we did was served before we ever saw our waitress again. After waiting for over 40 minutes without ever hearing back from our waitress we got up and attempted to pay for our drinks. After waiting for another 5 minutes at the bar, someone who appeared to be in some position of authority and/or management came up to us and apologized and told us the drinks were "on the house". Thank you for the drink and the experience......we will never be back! read more
