    Grilling self dinner

Antique old world atmosphere is quaint, clean and well cared for. Service is friendly. You really go to this pretty expensive restaurant for the experience of cooking your own steak . Not sure how that's better than my Traeger grill at home. I guess some people do not have a grill at home. I enjoyed a large ribeye steak. They serve all their meats at the grill with all you can eat baked potatoes or baked beans. Today they also had local fresh sweet corn that was quite delicious. It was an interesting experience. I have no real need to ever go back though.

stopped in last day for dinner. Quickly, I'm out on the patio and greeted by our server. We ordered a Moscow mule and a beer to start. We typically get brussels sprouts for the step we wanted to try spinach dip. The little flatbread pieces with they were definitely delicious. Typically, in the past, I've ordered a micro sale and they took that off their menu this summer. Decided to try something new and order the Burrata Flatbread - that was a mistake. The chewy in the pesto tasted canned. Our server never once came back and checked on us and when he did I told him about the pizza with no response. My husband prime melt, it was delicious and I ended up eating half for my dinner! The waffle fries were even seasoned very good. I was definitely disappointed with my food and the price of the. We will be back again but maybe stick to what we know.

Dinner at the Rock Bottom. I love the atmosphere of the basement restaurant. With the stones and the cozy fireplace. On this day, 3 other tables were occupied. Seated quickly. My most favorite options are no longer in the menu (combo platter of chicken strips and fish and the seafood dip) settled with spinach and artichoke dip. Tasty. Ordered pasta bake with chicken and a chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Both tasted good and came out as expected. The salad that came with the pasta bake was a great size for a side salad. Service was slow. Waited a while for checks and to go boxes. Probably would still be waiting on that drink refill.

If you are looking for a little more than a dinner date, The Grill House offers an experience unlike no other. We ordered from the Grill menu, meaning we went to the counter, picked our meat, and grilled it ourselves. The grill masters offer you tips and provide you with all the seasoning and sauces. It's a lot of fun to do with a partner or friends. You have to sit outside on the courtyard. It has a very cute backyard vibe with fun gliding booths. The service is great as well. Be prepared to pay around $100 for two people should you choose the Grill menu. Worth the price for this much fun (&unlimited sides!!).

3 1/2 Stars We wanted to love this place. The Grill House has been a place we've wanted to try for years and we were looking forward to the experience and food... after all they have a great sorry and they've been on the Travel Channel. First, we were a little confused by the menus- one menu for the downstairs (pub style) and another menu for the upstairs (grill your own meat). Second, the decor was a little dated which I can usually look past if the food is excellent. The food was good and our service was very good. Two of us chose from the pub menu, two from the grill your own and they fully enjoyed their meal. The story is that the grill house is haunted, built back sometime in the 1800's. We don't necessarily feel like we need to go back, but we're glad that we went.

Absolutely a fun dinner experience! This was obviously the place to go for dinner in the area since it was packed. Though, we didn't have to wait long to get a table. The waitress explained our choice to either choose off of the menu, grill our own meats, or have a chef grill our meats. Since it sounded like a ton of fun and I love to cook, grilling our own was an easy choice. We were directed into the grill area and got to choose our own meats from the butcher section. There was so much that looked good but we opted for the New York Strip and the shrimp. They handed us our meats on a platter and we were directed to a huge grill area and a small section just for us to cook. There were tons of seasonings or topping like mushrooms, baked beans, grilled onions, Texas toast, butters, and spices. The grill attendant showed us the hot spots and it was up to us to cook as we saw fit. It was so much fun to do this and watch dozens of others do the same. The food was great as well as the service and comfort. I would definitely love to visit again.

Food and service were both excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed it. We ordered the baked potato soup based on other reviews and it was delicious! I ordered the Ranch Tender Wrap with Buffalo Sauce and my wife ordered the Pot Roast Baked Potato. Both were excellent! Finished the night off with the Strawberry Shortcake a'la'mode.

I like that typically means the employers are good to their employees. As for the food, meh. The salad was fantastic. The burger, I had a burger special beer something. The bun was cold and the meat dry. I was hoping for a sloppy wipe my face with lots of napkins burger. Sadly I did not get that, maybe someone else would enjoy a dry burger with a cold bun. I would definitely go back and order something different. The salad orders looked absolutely fantastic. Lastly the positive attitude of the staff makes me want to go back and support them.

The interior is a decent size, high ceilings, open, exposed brick wall and wood. The food was a much higher standard than the average brewery, which is good for me as I do not drink beer. I did try their peppermint holiday cider, which was interesting, I don't think I'd order it again, but my friend really liked it. My nephew noted that he was glad the food was good, not just the fries, as he is not old enough for beer. He had the chicken tenders and he said they were the best he's ever had. We started with the giant pretzel. It was a special, which is too bad, as it was fantastic (and should be added to the menu). There was that slight crispness to the outside, warm soft inside, and perfect crystallized salt. It came with cheese sauce and grainy mustard, both were great, the pretzel could still hold its own without sauce. Their menu is not huge, and I think it's better for it. They featured steak and burgers (and my aunt was happy to have a good gluten free bun!). I had the garlic steak tips, cooked perfectly at medium, and garlic mashed potatoes (I'm sure my breath was potent after). The sauce was very good, and I love garlic, so being very garlicky worked for me. It also had a side of creamy horseradish sauce that paired perfectly. The only mis step was the steak was a bit cool in temperature, and I didn't want to send it back and the be over cooked. The others had burgers, and an autumn salad. The salad was also noted it to better than average, it was good they had a lighter option on the menu. The entrance area also had a butcher area to buy beef.

Fries and brussels were delicious, but the lobster mac is overrated (bland) and our steaks were mediocre. Both were slightly overcooked (not a dealbreaker, but for $85/each I'd expect better). Add in the fact that they just drown them in butter and salt to hide the poor cooking (somehow, very little sear and barely any grill marks on one of the two steaks). Service was excellent - I'll give it that, but it was a little slow at the end once our meal had concluded to get us packed up / being a check. Atmosphere - it feels upscale, but that's just because of the prices and menu selection / options. Food came out quickly, portions were good for the price. They also validate parking for the lot just behind their building (street parking is tight / limited). Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we'd come back. Good news is, there are lots of other options for special occasions in town so weigh your options before booking here.

Coming from a big city with no shortage of high-end steakhouses, I'm used to premium pricing. I wasn't expecting big-city prices in Holland, which was a bit surprising. That said, the food was overall very good, with the exception of two sides: the layered potatoes and the truffle risotto. The layered potatoes looked incredibly promising but unfortunately lacked seasoning and flavor, tasting more like plain potato than the indulgent side they appeared to be. The risotto was also underwhelming slightly bland, with a few hard pieces of rice. Everything else, however, was excellent. The Maryland-style crab cakes were a standout, easily some of the best I've had, with generous portions and great flavor. The salmon and filet were both perfectly cooked, juicy, and well-executed. Drinks: The margarita was spot-on, balanced, not too sour or too sweet. I also tried the in-house lemonade, which was quite bitter and not something I'd recommend.
