I love this Sub place. I first came here with church friends, they recommended this place to me. And honestly, I was so impressed. All the staffs are all well trained, very courteous and attentive to the needs and satisfaction of each customer. The store owner Ed, is a very friendly guy to everyone too. And lastly, the food is just amazingly great and affordable! I always love coming here. They always never fail to impress me. Firehouse Subs, you are will always be my favorite sub place! Don't understand all the good reviews as it seems like they have McDonalds-tier children working there. Did Ed retire or something? Twice in a row when ordering online, got a sub that was falling apart, with too much mayo, and added onions when I said no onions and the receipt even said no onions. Onions give me gas, I have an inguinal hernia and it can make me very sick to eat these, even when picked out. Edit: No 5 star reviews in 10 months? yikes! read more

I've never had firehouse subs before but this is fucking good at any sub shop I usually go for a meatball it's simple and easy to make and this one is the one read more

Love the sandwiches. Pork Slaw sandwich is the best. Never an issue with the food. Work ethic another story. This is the slowest place to get your order at a sub shop. Even when there is hardly any customers it takes too long. Jimmy Johns is super fast. Jerry Mikes not bad either. The sandwich makers talk too much and appear to take their time to make the sandwiches. No sense of urgency. read more

Ordered 4 different subs tonight. Specified no onions on any of them. What was on everyone of them????ONIONS!!! Very bad for a person that cannot have onions for medical reasons. read more

Surprise is lucky to have this outstanding place!! My GOTO hit Sub is The Cajun Chicken Sub with Jalapeños, plus the extra way they make it, I'm Happy that this Sub is Both satisfying as it is delicious!! It's just as double a bite! Thanks to The outstanding sub artists for always welcoming with me with a smile and the heartfelt greeting! Thanks To Ed(The owner and Retired Fireman, as well as ex military!) and his Manager (Stephanie), They make this place feel like home! read more

Went this evening and must say I was disappointed. Not only weren't our sandwiches toasted, they were barely warm. If I wanted a cold sandwich I would have gone to Jersey Mike's. read more

They have the most delicious sandwiches in Surprise! The restaurant is always clean and the staff is the BEST!!! During the COVID Pandemic, they have clearly taken all precautions to ensure all of us who frequent this restaurant are safe!! We have never been let down! I gave too many stars but needed to give at least one in order to post. Today I stop spending my money at Firehouse subs. I used to like the quality of their food. But today I felt like I wanted to treat my family for lunch and we usually order brisket sandwiches because they are delisious. But today we received the shittiest sandwiches. The meat wasn't sliced it was shreds of meat with mayo like tuna is prepared with a little squirt of bbq sauce. SHITTY!! I SPENT $65 on SHIT today! You ever spent money on shit before? I did. BEWARE FELLOW CONSUMERS... I'll be spending my money at real sandwich shops from here on out. read more

This place is so much more than just subs! Right when you walk in they greet every customer with a "Welcome to Firehouse!". This location was my very first job and it's so amazing how involved Ed is with the community and helping others + local businesses around him! As a past employee, I continue to come back to be surrounded by the amazing employees & yummy subs! Here are a few pictures I got from this wonderful location in Surprise! read more

This place is awesome! The food and service are always on point! To make it even better, owner Ed does so many things for the community. Even during the pandemic he's been selflessly hosting fundraisers for the VFW and others. I cannot recommend this place enough. read more

Yum, yum, yum! My first visit was perfect. I ordered the Smokehouse Brisket. It goes perfect with the BBQ sauce, and the bread is tender and tasty. Restaurant is clean and spacious. The staff could not be more friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this place. It's 7 minutes from my office. If it was 30 mins, I would still make the drive. I will be here weekly. read more

Firehouse Subs - Sandwiches Near Me - Surprise, Arizona

This Firehouse Subs is superb! Not only is the food amazing, but since COVID hit, this location has been going above and beyond with sanitation and cleanliness! This is by far the cleanest restaurant I have visited. To top it all off the owner is actively engaged in the community - anyone who eats here knows this. I've seen some negative political review nonsense posted about this location and I can tell you it is exactly that, nonsense. It is not a business' job to enforce city mandates, they can make suggestions and post signs, but ultimately it rests with personal accountability. With that said, if you're looking for a delicious sub sandwich (or salad) and want an atmosphere that makes you feel like home, this is the place to go! read more

The best Firehouse Subs in the Valley! The best sandwich shop in the valley! Always clean. Always professionally run. Always good quality food. Great service! By far, our favorite lunch place and has never disappointed. read more

Firehouse Subs - On top of this place being the bomb.com they also do catering to fulfill your every desire. - Sandwiches Near Me - Surprise, Arizona

I was not a big fan of the sandwich. The selection is very limited on toppings and you don't really have a choice in what you get. I ordered the roast beef sandwich, the bread was really good, but the cheese was melted and the roast beef was broken up into chunks of meat instead of slices of roast beef. I suppose this is a more polished place than subway, but when I want a cold sandwich, I want a cold sandwich not melted cheese. read more

Waited over 25 minutes for a meatball sub. Then when I received the sub it was lukewarm at best. Manager refunded me the money for the sub only since I had eaten the chips and drank some of my soda. Offered to remake the sub but I did not have another 25 minutes to wait. He never even offered to rush the sandwich so I could eat with my husband. I will never come back here again. Ed in response to your response I have lost all respect for you. As far as the events here is what transpired. Yes you did offer to remake the sub but you never offered to remake it in a expedited manner. You never tried to make good on anything. Never offered me a sub on my next visit. I was very upset that you did not do any of these things. As I sat there and watched my husband eat his sub. You want to make me out to be a problem customer and that you did everything to make me happy shame on you. Ed again to your response. I would be more than happy to meet with you Just so you can look me in the eye and call me a liar. I am more upset with you for that than a cold sandwich. I did not know that I was such a distraction and that I was so inconsolable for the 10 minutes I sat there as my husband ate his sandwich. During that time I was also refusing to accept the coupons you were giving me to come back for a free sandwich. Oh yes also you delivering an expediting a hot meatball sub. Which why aren't the meatballs kept at proper temps. Oh and the apologies that I was ignoring. Ed really I would have loved you to do any of these things. But again I was storming back to my table to sit. Is it so worth it to you to admit to truly dropping the ball on your customer service that you have to call the customer a liar. read more

Really wish I would've ordered a full sandwich, instead of half): had a chicken bacon ranch on white..it is amazing. My first time at this location. Will definitely be back read more

I have the pleasure of letting all know that this location of Firehouse Subs is marvelous!! I ordered the New York Steamer and it was delicious. We love Firehouse Subs! My husband, especially, frequents this location. I indulge from time to time. The subs are great, and I have loved trying every different one on the menu. It's always cool to try a new one and see how different but great they all are. My personal fave is the Turkey Bacon Ranch. They have different sizes and you can add toppings. They have a Coke Freestyle machine which, believe it or not, makes a difference to me. I love getting to choose my drink this way, rather than just having the standard four or five Coke or Pepsi products that most places have in a standard machine. My favorite part about this location is the wonderful staff, but also the amazing owner, Ed! He keeps us coming back because he is a great guy who goes out of his way to ensure his customers are satisfied and happy. He embodies the meaning of customer service! We love seeing his friendly face and we love that we can do good with our money here - they ask you to round up your total order to the nearest dollar and the money goes to firefighters for needed, lifesaving equipment. So you're telling me I can have great food AND make a difference?! Score! read more

Tasty sub sandwiches. Plenty of stuff to look at within the restaurant while you're munching. Good sized space. Nice buckets available for a $3 donation. Overall, a good alternative to JJ. Different taste, but at least I don't have to feel guilty for supporting a company whose owner shoots endangered species in far-away places. read more

Excellent service here in Surprise area. The Manager on site gave me a delicious sub recommendation. Every time we walk-in they greet us nicely, we love coming here often, specially to support our first responders. read more

This was the worst lunch they were to busy playing around and they did not mark our sandwich and they were so messy I asked for extra fork and the fat girl was very rude about it she said we don't have plates I said could I get a fork and balsamic she looked at me and walked away very rude the salad was so full of brownish ends I would never come back again. read more

This is a great place. Owner is very friendly and engaged with the community. Was a pleasure to go on July 4th to support fundraising for homes for veterans. This place has an uplifting and engaged spirit of community and love of country- not to mention, the food is GREAT! Thanks guys! read more

We have now visited Firehouse Subs Surprise at least twice a week since they opened and we couldn't be happier with the food, service, and atmosphere. My oldest son loves the cheesesteak sandwich and my hubby loves the brisket. I am a huge fan of the salsa verde turkey sandwich and the littlest loves the kids' ham and cheese (mostly because he has quite a collection of FREE fireman hats with every kids' meal) I have also enjoyed the Firehouse salad which is always crisp, fresh, and delicious. We love using their free online app to order when we need sandwiches to go and love the friendly atmosphere when we dine in. If there is a mistake, they fix it, no questions asked. And I love being greeted by Welcome to Firehouse every time I walk in. Makes me feel like Norm from Cheers. :) With the loss of my other most favorite restaurant in Surprise a few months ago due to all that construction, I'm so glad to have a new favorite place to visit and be treated like family. In fact...I might head there now...all this talk about salsa verde turkey.....mouth.watering.must.run read more

A friend and I split a footlong ENGINEER® Smoked turkey breast, melted Swiss, and sautéed mushrooms, with mayo, deli mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a kosher dill pickle on the side. It was super fresh and delicious. Plenty enough for 2 people. The others in my group tried different subs. All looked good and I will be back to try them. Service from Monique was was fast and efficient. The wait time was not excessive. read more

My family stopped by here while coming home from a trip as we enjoy trying new restaurants. We ordered a large Meatball Sub (regular), a small Turkey Bacon Ranch and a kids Grilled Cheese meal. My wife and I also ordered ours as a "meal" with a drink and side salad. The staff was friendly and explained how they steam their meats and toast their rolls separately. Good to know. Before we could even fully sit down, the server brought out the salads. They were nicely sized for a side salad, however, a little light on dressing for my taste. Just as we were finishing those, our sandwiches arrived. I must say, WOW was my sub HUGE ( I did get a large after all). Because they toast the roll separately, it stayed nice and crispy with the melted cheese and sauce. So good, so so good. My wife's sub was perfectly sized for her and she loved every bite. The grilled cheese, while being for a kiddo, was disappointing. Now, I wasn't expecting a four cheese masterpiece, but it was a single slice of barely melted cheese between toasted bread. if for the same price, I can get a kids meatball sub, you'd think they'd at least put a second slice of cheese in it. All in all, we were happy with the experience for the most part. The prices being a little on the higher side and the mediocre grilled cheese lowered the review to four stars. That said, we will try them again and I will adjust the review at that time. read more

UPDATING MY REVIEW after talking to Ed. The sub I had was a smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket. While I personally did not enjoy this sub firehouse didn't make any mistakes. It's just my personal taste. After a brief conversation with Ed I can say as a small business owner myself I'm very impressed with Ed's level of commitment to customer satisfaction. That's something you just don't see anymore. Most large corporations and small businesses act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to spend your money with them. I'll give Firehouse another shot. read more

This place is my favorite now out of any sandwich store I have ever been. You can select size of small, medium and large. Small is good size for kids, medium is just a bit bigger than subway's 6 inch sub. Staffs are friendly and nice which is great! read more

O.K., so I was in a cantankerous mood when I tried this place for the first time. Upon entering, every employee yells out a welcome to you as if they've known you forever. Of course, all of the other customers turn to look at me to see what the fuss is about . . . as if I'm a celebrity or something. But before I could order a sandwich, I got bombarded with: 1. Here is a card to download our App. 2. Take a picture of your sub and post it online for a chance to win $500. 3. Join our club to receive points for your next order. 4. Would you like to contribute your change to benefit the Fire Dept. (as if I've been exempt from paying taxes for this service already!)? Sometimes, all you want is a simple sandwich for a quiet lunch. read more

Wonderful establishment! With great food and people. Owner does a lot of community events and helps support any good cause!! Great job!!!

Great Food, Great Subs, Great Staff. I enjoy coming here and it is much better than subway. The prices are very similar to subway and the service is always great. They have pickle buckets that they sell which are cool and the money goes to a good cause. The mural in the restaurant is also really cool to look at every time I come in. The staff is friendly and willing to talk while they make your food. I would reccomend anyone to this establishment! read more

Great sub choices, the bread had a flavor like my grandma's , I chose the Italian and the meat was moist and delicious. Chicken noodle soup was flavorful and in all, we will come back. Plenty of meat , cheeses, etc not sparse like other sub companies. Service was great, friendly, welcoming. read more

I love their sandwiches! I keep going back for more. I did not give 5 stars only because it's a little bit pricey but I love the food.

So I ordered two subs from Uber eats so I didn't have that much of an experience other than the food. Now the bread they use is amazing and sandwiches are filled perfectly. I would have to say this is my favorite sandwich place over any other place. I will have to update my review the next time I go back..... stay tuned read more

Their iced tea is always freshly brewed and juicy lemons and limes at the drink area make my beverage complete! I like that I can have the bread cut out of the middle, when I order a fresh and delicious sandwich. The restaurant is alway squeaky clean. Passed my white glove test! The employees welcome each hungry patron who enters, and are extremely professional, polite, and eager to serve. The owner, Ed, and manager, Stephanie, do an extraordinary job keeping everything in tip-top condition, and always have smiles to give freely. When the cashier asks if you want to round up from your bill, ALWAYS SAY YES!!!!!! Also, ask Ed about the mural. Interesting details! read more

I waited in line for over 15 minutes before the cashier even acknowledged me. She was on the phone but didn't attempt to get another employee to open a register. Place an order to eat in. My sandwich was served to go and when I got home it was mostly lettuce and falling apart. No pickle. Will not eat here again. Poor service and a pathetic looking overpriced sandwich. Extremely disappointing. read more
