I asked specifically for real forks as they gave us real knives and plastic forks. When I talked to the staff at the counter their response was that they have to hand wash the forks so they don't give them out! WHAT?! Then why give me a real butter knife??? I'm praying to God you wash them! Just very frustrated as my husband has a poorly functioning left arm, so he can't use a real knife AND a fork to cut through things (like a big leafy salad!) He would need a real, sturdy fork. So mental note, bring your real forks with you when you visit this location.

I would have to deduct a star because sometimes the workers are not very friendly, willing to help or, interested in improvements. In addition, McKeever has Tippins Pies. They have petifores and maccrons. We picked up a croissant, a scone, and a cheese danish in addition to the double mudslide cake. This is my go-to upscale grocer. I see that they offer online ordering and pick up. I am going to have to try that.

That pic was taken before she took a single sip (yes, I know the straw I used to show the amount looks used; I did use it to search for a tea bag in my tea fog. See below!). My cinnamon/butterscotch tea fog was, to put it politely, unimpressive. I left it steeping at least 15 minutes because it was way too hot to drink. And then I had to get a straw to search for tea bags, because it tasted like hot foamy water and I was convinced they'd forgotten to put the tea bags in. Well, they hadn't. There was one tea bag. My standard of comparison is Gusto over by Longview, which makes the best tea fogs in town. They use two tea bags and it tastes like heaven. Whatever they served me at Whistle Stop tasted like perfumed water. So overall, I give it a 3/5. Points for location and decor and nice chairs. But the main attraction should be the drinks, and they were both kinda terrible. And there's just no excuse for serving someone 2/3 of a cup when we're paying $6 for a small drink.
