Hair in sandwich. I'm a male with short hair. This isn't mine
JJ J.

Found a piece of hair in my Club sandwich. I'm not sure if the employees are taking the necessary precautions to ensure food isn't exposed to stray hairs as I placed a mobile order for pick up. Won't be coming back anytime soon. Yikes!

This was what needed replacing. Just got it 38 minutes after they messed up the first one

They messed up my order. I checked my take out before leaving and one of my sandwiches was wrong. When I took it to the counter they said I would have to wait until all the orders after me were filled. I'm still waiting and it be since 12:12 and it is now 12:49. Check your orders before leaving And expect to wait if they get it wrong It hurts my heart because I liked this place before the new managers took over

I work in Firehouse subs and have been there for 8 months. I had never tried the subs because I never found interest in trying them. But last month, I decided to try them and to my surprise they were actually really good. I got the steak and cheese and I was happy with my decision. The steak is really juicy and the break is really soft. I really enjoyed it and could see why we get busy. Ever since that day, I have been getting it and it always comes out good. I definitely recommend coming in and trying our steak and cheese if you want a good sub. I think coming in during the afternoon like at 2 or 3 is the best time. The atmosphere is good and no one is ever rude. I feel like everyone always comes out smiling.

I decided to pop in for a bite to eat with my friend visiting from St. Pete. We went inside, ordered our subs & came back outside to eat. The owner was working outside on his laptop and overheard that my friend may have ordered the wrong item or her order was incorrect. He approached us in the friendliest manner and wanted to know what was wrong & immediately fixed it so that her sandwich was made by her request. He introduced himself & let us know he just bought this business 2 months ago. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for your kindness!

Tube-dude, best employee here!

Awesome looking place, first time at a Firehouse Sub, fireman theme with a Sarasota tube-dude greeting you at the counter--- the Tube-dude & his tube-dog was the most charismatic part of the staff that didn't even greet us--- dead eyed & they seemed like life was the worst, all 3 of the kids behind the counter were terrible... our subs were drenched in the vinaigrette or whatever they hose it down in so the bread was soggy, the 'toasted sub' thing was lost on us but the filling was good even tho they weren't remotely hot. I was thinking I was getting a cold sub until I read they were toasted so I didn't mind eating a cold sub. I would go back but if I see one of the 3 kids behind the counter that were there the morning of 8/15/17 I would turn around & walk right back out go next door to get a publix sub.

Great new place for subs. Not your typical hoagie, turkey, roast beef etc. place. All their bread is toasted and deli is steamed which makes their subs even more mouth watering! The staff was very welcoming. If you like hot sauce, they've got a great selection, including their signature sauce. Will definitely be back again!

Since Quiznos closed there hasn't been a good quickhot sub place. Hopefully this is it. Growing pains presently.

Split pea soup? Exactly what you want it to be. Tuna sandwich? Fantastic. Corned beef? The real deal. Honestly, some mornings I wake up already thinking about what I'm going to order at Larry's. This place is a hidden gem and absolutely deserves the praise and accolades it gets. The food is consistently excellent, the portions are generous, and the staff keeps things moving with great attitudes even when the place is busy. And to the people leaving one-star reviews whining about prices -- give me a break. Larry's is serving quality food, made right, in a time when most places cut corners. The staff works hard and somehow still manages to stay upbeat while dealing with some of the winter crowd's most ungrateful, ingratiating, self-absorbed A&$*^'s. Anyone who has spent five minutes working in a restaurant knows exactly what I mean. Larry's is the best find since sliced challah. Kudos to the whole team for doing it right and putting up with the rest of us

After my experience on Thursday, February 12th, that's over. At 6:05 PM, I placed a small online order (mozzarella sticks, a calzone, and a sandwich) through their website, as I always do. Estimated pickup: 29 to 34 minutes. I arrived at 6:41 with my wife and kids in the car. Food wasn't ready, but "five more minutes." Fine. Five turned into twenty. Twenty turned into forty. During that time, I watched the staff take phone orders and quote every customer "20 to 25 minutes," no matter the order size. When I asked what the holdup was, the staff, who were genuinely doing their best, explained that new kitchen staff were struggling. My son was starving, so I left to grab him food elsewhere and came back about 30 minutes later, confident my order would be waiting. It wasn't. At 7:35 PM, ninety minutes after placing a three-item order, nothing was ready. I asked the staff why they were still quoting 20-minute turnarounds when the reality was 90+ minutes. I suggested they pause online ordering to let the kitchen recover. They told me the owner, Jared Grifoni, has instructed them to keep online orders on and to continue telling customers 20 minutes, despite knowing the kitchen is nowhere close to meeting that timeline. That's not a bad night. That's a policy decision to mislead customers for the sake of revenue. I requested a refund. As it was being processed, two of my three items finally came out. When the staff asked the kitchen about the last item, the answer was: "I have no idea when we'll get to that." I left at 7:46 PM, one hour and forty-one minutes after ordering. To be clear: the staff on the floor that night are not to blame. They were put in a no-win situation and handled it as well as anyone could. The issue is ownership making a conscious choice to overload the kitchen, deceive customers about wait times, and let the staff absorb the fallout. When I arrived, the restaurant was nearly full. When I left, it was almost empty. I won't be adding myself to either count again.
