I have been wanting to try this place for years to compare to other sandwich spots. This place is definitely catered to the male variety. As soon as I walked in I saw nothing but guys. I'm sure it is due to the fact that firehouse was created by a fireman. I noticed immediately that I wouldn't be able to see them make my sandwich so that was different than what I'm used to. I ordered a veggie sandwich and I must say I enjoyed it. The melted cheese on top of mushrooms and the other fresh veggies tasted amazing. The staff was diligent in bringing our order to us. I would try again if I was in the area.

I have this place another chance and they failed again. Asked for Pepperocinis in my NY Steamer sandwich and it came without pepperocinis and without the mustard it has in the menu description. All that I could detect was meat cheese and Mayo. It's shocking this place still exists here.

This is one of those places that has really good food but things like customer service leave a lot to be desired. Some call it expensive but I don't think the prices are too bad for what you get - the ingredients are definitely of a better quality and more plentiful than Subway for example. While customer service is nice, it's not the fastest or most competent. An employee took my entire order wrong but the manager made sure it was corrected and my additional bacon was on the house. They did forget the pickle spear and I made a big deal about having a pickle so that sucked. Anyway, each visit I got smoked brisket with cheddar + bacon. It's so SO good and a very filling meal. I got to taste the veggie sandwich as well which was really good too because they cook down the veggies a lot and it's cheesy. It's worth trying but be warned that this location is slow.

Quality subs and salads. Come here hungry. It's a wonderful flavor you can't find at any other Subway or Quiznos sandwich locations Founded by firefighters

I ordered a small and medium sub and the small is only 4" long... wow. Pathetic!

When we were in the Hub…read moreCity today and lunchtime hit, Yelp's 4.7 rating pointed us to Zorbas, and we took a chance--and wow, did it pay off. We're used to chicken shawarma--a Middle Eastern favorite, with marinated chicken broiled on a vertical brazier and packed with bold, earthy spices. But today, we were introduced to the Greek version: chicken gyro--herby, tender, juicy, and finished with just the right crispy edges. We waited a little extra for the chicken to broil, and it was totally worth it. The housemade red chile sauce added just the right splash of tangy heat to the chicken and faded before it got too hot. The housemade pita bread was soft, warm, and fresh--the perfect scoop for the housemade hummus and tangy, housemade tzatziki. The feta salad was crisp and balanced, dressed lightly with olive oil. We wrapped it all up with flaky, just-sweet-enough baklava (which was not housemade, but still delicious). The atmosphere felt like fine Mediterranean dining--just served up with the speed and ease of your favorite neighborhood spot. Cozy, relaxed, and spotlessly clean. We also saw a steady stream of to-go orders during our visit, which tells you locals already know how good this place is. Another couple dining nearby smiled from ear-to-ear when they heard our praise--they've followed "Moose", the owner, from location to location for years. That kind of loyalty says a lot. Moose and his friendly staff made us feel right at home and clearly took genuine pleasure in hearing how much we enjoyed our visit. We're honestly a little jealous of our Lafayette friends who get to enjoy Zorbas regularly! Zorbas isn't just a great meal--it's a warm, welcoming experience. We'll be back. With friends.

The French fries themselves are consistently cooked to perfection and the condiments it comes with are incredibly flavorful. I often order a mixed plate or salad and they never disappoint. The chicken shawarma is never dry and the gyro meat is always very well flavored and cooked wonderfully. I introduced Zorba's to my coworkers and they go several times a week now. The kids love it too! Don't sleep on this place.

First time at Whataburger and I'm a bit disappointed. I ordered an original burger without pickle…read moreand added ketchup. It was good. Nice flavor and the burger was HEFTY. The only complaint I have about the burger is that it was very messy!! I feel like they slapped the mustard and ketchup on and didn't care where it went. The fries were good but not the best. I had raspberry iced tea for my drink which was the highlight for me cause it's one of my favorite drinks. What I really DID NOT like tho was when I ordered, I asked for small fries and a small drink because I don't eat much. I expected it to be lower in price since I'm asking for less but it was THE SAME PRICE as the medium and the cashier failed to tell me there was no price difference. I don't understand how getting less is the same price for the medium it comes with. They need to tell you it's the same cause I would have just stuck with the medium and got my monies worth. I mean, look how small the fry is that I got. If I knew the medium was the same price....... Knowing what I know now, I'd probably give this place another shot as it did taste good. I'd also ask a lot more questions so I can make sure I'm getting what I pay for.

In my opinion, the Northside Vegan has truly made its mark in Lafayette for being one of the best sellers of plant based food meals. I think the market is thriving for more vegan options in the area and the owner, Kimba, is always looking into new ideas and concepts for her business. She doesn't have a permanent site yet but when she has pop ups at other businesses I attempt to stop by when it's convenient. On three separate occasions, I have tried her food and I have never been disappointed. Yesterday I had the privilege of trying some new jack nachos and rutabaga dip. The new jack nachos were absolutely delicious. It was my first time trying jackfruit and I must say that it really looks like pulled pork! It mostly tastes like a sweet salsa but it really paired well with that amazing vegan cheese. The rutabaga dip came with toasted points. It definitely tasted very vegetably but all it needed for me was a little extra spice! You must try all her vegan creations but if you are wary as a beginner, the burgers are a good safe choice for starters.

More likely, we will spot one during the summer road trip, covering thousands of miles in multiple states. This past summer 2022, we happened upon one while heading out of Louisiana towards the Florida panhandle, it was lunchtime, and my kids always seem to like ice cream... So... We got off the highway towing a 25 foot camper trailer, and started looking for the location. This particular Freddys is a good few miles off the main highway, very close to the University, and smack dab between what appeared to be some kind of student housing and a strip mall that seems to be on the downhill slope of its life cycle. I have to laugh a little bit when I read the reviews that referred to experiences here with descriptions like "it was the worst thing that's ever happened to me in my life." Lol! If an order mishap at a fast food joint is the worst thing that's ever happened to you, then truly I envy your life. Or maybe you need to get out more... Anyway, not sure how many Michelin stars this Freddy's location has received? But they made a pretty good burger served in a paper box. Washed it down with a big fountain drink and topped the whole thing with a chocolate custard. I enjoyed this culinary masterpiece sitting in my truck. Did what it was supposed to do-- tie me over until our camping bbq dinner for a nominal fee. Of course we'll stop at a place like this again; We always do -- and who knows? Might even be this location three time zones away from our home-20. But we temper our expectations, and we're never disappointed. Isn't that a life skill? Anyway, thank you Freddys for another fine meal. Will see you next time.
