We stopped here for a quick bite while traveling. I always look for firehouse subs when traveling because they are consistent, clean and there is something for everyone. This place was no expectation with friendly staff and quick service. My go to is the Italian and it's the same at every location and I appreciate that I'm always getting "my sandwich" no matter where I go. read more

Firehouse always delivers whenever I'm craving a sub. It's the perfect mix of saucy and toasty and the workers are always super friendly. The service is also usually on the slower side though so not the best bet when you're in a rush. read more

Firehouse Subs - Steak & Cheese - Sandwiches Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

I ordered a Hook & Ladder for takeout from Firehouse Subs and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, when I got home, I discovered that all of the toppings had been left off my sandwich. Instead of the Hook & Ladder I ordered, I was left with nothing but meat and cheese on a roll. It completely changed the experience and ruined the excitement I had for my meal after getting home. To make matters worse, the pickle spear that came with the order was extremely small compared to what I've received in the past. While mistakes happen, what was even more disappointing was how the issue was handled afterward. I contacted corporate about the experience and was told that because each Firehouse Subs location is individually owned, there wasn't much they could do directly. They said they forwarded my complaint to the store for follow-up. However, I never heard anything from the owner or manager--not even a simple apology acknowledging the mistake. I understand that errors happen in restaurants, but good customer service is about making things right when they do. The missing toppings were frustrating, but the complete lack of response afterward is what left the most negative impression. read more

Sandwich took awhile but was good, unfortunately roach on the wall made it a little icky. read more

Love the new Hook & I'm hoping they leave it alone or at least make it a full time option on the menu. This location was super clean and the employees were very friendly. Service was fast as well AAA+++ read more

Greeted when we walked in. Served with a smile. Everything was hot and fresh. Workers were amicable and even loaded my one year old up with some sugary treats while we waited. We'll be back! read more

Firehouse Subs - Great dude! - Sandwiches Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

The manager was top notch! Placed an online order and got there before it was due to be done. No big deal we knew we were early. My daughter got her chips and ate a few while we were patiently waiting. The manager was preparing our sandwich and noticed we were waiting and apologize for the wait. We said no prob we were early. She noticed we added pickles to the sub and asked if we wanted extra... Umm of course we do! As she was finishing the sub she noticed the meat and cheese was a little over cooked. She let us know she was going to make some more and gave us a drink while we waited. She chatted with a few other customers while checking in with us and also requesting her team to tend to the meat cookers so other meats don't get over heated. She was very attentive to the needs of EVERYTHING around her. Once the sandwich was done it was boxed up and handed to us with a great smile and an apology and a thank you for being patient. I was very impressed and I appreciated her attention to detail and customer service. It was beyond what I would normally expect at a sub shop! I wish I got her name, but she moved too fast for me to read it fast enough! Lol read more

It's disgusting, they don't work, I only ordered 2 sandwiches and they were prepared in 30 minutes, they don't work, they only talk among themselves, I don't recommend it read more

The mobile order was 25 minutes late. One I got the order part of it was missing. Had to go back and ask for the rest of the order.

No matter how busy or slow, prepare to wait a crazy long time. Place is dirty, workers seem to just be messing around even though my food was supposed to be ready 20 minutes ago. I have waited 30+ minutes for food when there are less than 10 customers inside. Just a poorly ran location honestly. read more

Delicious as always. Each firehouse is slightly different, but this one has amazing service and is in a tough area because it's always so busy. We had the usual hook and ladder, turkey bacon ranch and 2 kids meals. Perfect for a quick lunch in between errands. read more

Firehouse Subs - the inside of a restaurant - Sandwiches Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

I ordered a sandwich right before close which was my fault . I didn't check my sandwich which I should've . I get home just to see they packed my sandwich full of meat & just managed to forget all of my other ingredients on my sandwich. I call the manager for him to tell me they can't help me because I don't have the sandwich from 12 hours earlier. read more

I was trying to order my hooking ladder from the firehouse On Beach Blvd.. When my order came from River marsh Drive, I was wondering why my sandwich tasted different when the DoorDash driver arrive. It was a hooking ladder, but not the way I ordered it. The bread was toasted. I didn't ask for it to be toasted. Some of the toppings were not on it as requested . and when I bit into the sandwich, it had a funny taste, so I allow someone else to taste the sandwich and they said the same thing. I will never order another sandwich from this location again one and done. It was not the location I originally wanted my sandwich to come from in the first place. This location is further away from me than the original one On Beach Blvd. I was truly disappointed with my experience at this restaurant so I give it a zero.!! I'm only giving it a one star because it would not allow me to have no stars when posting the review!! read more

What a great experience! You're greeted promptly as soon as you walk in - but it feels sincere! This is one of my favorite fast casual spots, because of the great service and delicious subs! I'm usually a hook & ladder kinda girl, but I've been seeing the ads for the jerk turkey sub and it was calling my name... I obliged and I'm glad I did! It was my moms birthday, so her sub was completely free and the crew made sure to wish her a happy birthday on our way out. Just a fun experience all around! Above all else, the good this company does in the community for our first responders is amazing. Thank you, Firehouse. And thank you Town Center crew for your hospitality. read more

Went here for my free birthday promotional sub sandwich. Did not have much time so I ordered through the app. I ordered the Smokehouse beef brisket, fully involved and made it a combo meal. The beef was very tasty and plenty and was a perfect size for my hungry stomach. The sauce 'Capt Sorensen' included was a good combination for the sandwich. My order was already placed in the 'pick up' shelves when I arrived and the sandwich was still hot when I ate it. Thank you for the birthday treat! read more

I placed an online order at this store location. The order wasn't ready at the specified time. A staff member was loudly vocalizing unhappiness he is experiencing under the current management; regarding being under valued and underpaid. Customers were waiting while he vented. This is an inconvenience at 2:30pm (lunch hour). Vent to management on your personal time and not while customers are waiting. read more

Bye Bye Firehouse Subs. Ordered a medium chicken breast sub yesterday. I paid14.00 for the meal. When I opened the container, I gasped and shrieked at the abomination that lay before me. The sandwich was 20-30% smaller than last week!! I politely asked the manager over. I asked if they had changed their rolls. She said yes and confirmed they are smaller now. She kindly offered to remake the sandwich, which I politely declined, but stated it would be the last time I eat at Firehouse subs. Yet, another company bowing to greed via shrinkflation. Thanks #restaurantbrandsinternational read more

My complaint is not with the restaurant itself because the food is great and 98% of the time so is the service and speed. My complaint is with corporate and the ones who handle online order refunds, on January 24th I placed 2 separate orders back to back one using 15,000 points for a large cheddar brisket and the 2nd order I paid cash/card for 2 large cheddar briskets with Xtra meat and cheese and when we got to the store we were told they were out of brisket meat and they are unable to cancel the order and issue a refund so I had to go back online and ask for a refund in the app which I did 2× and got a zero response so on Saturday the 27th, 3 days later I called corporate and spoke to an actual person who proceeded to tell me that she had to foward the issue to upper management in order to get a refund of my money and points and here it is Monday and still NOTHING read more

Firehouse subs is my favorite sandwich place. But this evening, I ordered a BLt combo and opened the box with NO BACON. I asked for no onions, not no bacon. don't know if they heard me wrong, but it made me a little upset on how they miss BACON on a BLT. read more

As I am writing this I have yet to receive my order. I placed an online order to be ready at 2:15 and have yet to receive it at 2:55. This is my lunch break and possibly one of the worst firehouse experiences of my life. I will never come back here again. read more

Holy eff, these subs are AMAZING! I ordered a veggie sub on white and it's definitely one of the best veggie subs I've ever eaten. The subs here are pretty good and the location is great if you are near the Univ of North Florida. Don't flame me on this one, but I think they seriously OVERDID the decoration in this place. Yes, I know this was started by firefighters, but it seems that just throw up random firefighting stuff everywhere and it is a little overwhelming. Time to get an interior decorator involved. read more

LOVE Firehouse Subs!! This Firehouse Subs is conveniently located in the St Johns Town Center and within a couple of miles of the University of North Florida campus. Great for a shopping break or a study break. I've seen GrubHub pick up and deliver to campus from this location which is great and makes me wish I lived closer. I've had take out from here and the sandwiches are as good on the go as they are seated inside. This location has a couple of tables outside of you wish to sit outside, but this is FL and no one wants to eat when they are melting. Seating inside is limited to less than 20 people. They have the normal full menu that you will find at most Firehouse Subs, as well a huge assortment of hot sauces, over 40. As usual is the norm for Firehouse Subs, this location usually asks if you want to round up your bill to donate to the local Public Safety Foundation. They also offer fund raising opportunities. read more

I highly recommend Devin at this location! Great service and such a sweetheart!!! Came out with a smile and was super fast!

Omg I had to pause for a sec from scarfing down the second half of my Hook and Ladder to write this review because I received the most pleasant surprise.. I'm a Firehouse regular and my favorite part has always been the pickle but I've always been too shy to ask for an extra pickle but today was the day that I overcame my fears and asked for an extra pickle AND I CAME HOME TO NOT ONE EXTRA PICKLE BUT FOUR PERFECTLY WRAPPED DELICIOUS PICKLES UNDERNEATH MY HOOK AND LADDER. I was so happy to see two and then I lifted up the second half of my sandwich to find two more!!!!! Whoever made my sandwich and gave me four pickles.. I love you. read more

I've been eating at Firehouse Subs since they first opened and I've eaten at different shops all over North Florida and this shop at the Town Center was the best one yet! As I did my usual taste test of hot sauces on their hot sauce bar while I wait for my food, it caught me off guard that my gorgeous Italian sub had come out so quickly! I was literally is awe of how evenly stacked the meat was, how perfectly toasted the bun was, the cheese not too solid yes not too cheesy, no sloppy lettuce jumping out of my toasty bun and the final call: was the Italian dressing doused in between all my happy pieces? No. It was lightly dressed as not to drip down my arms. Thank you, Firehouse employees at the St. John's Town Center, for getting it right! Whoo! read more

Curbside order done correctly and as always friends and considerate. Subs were delicious!

Called in my order and I am still waiting 20 minutes past the time I was given. Location: St Johns Town Center, Jax. The first time I have used the mobile app and pick up. Not a good first impression! read more

Purchased the NY Steamer from the Town Center Firehouse Subs... they really skip on the meat about 4 inches of the sub has no meat, at all. Also, they didn't put the provolone cheese on my sub and there are no veggies on this sub so it was not very filling for a large with no cheese and little meat for the price. Bread was not baked well, either so my sub was soggy. I am very disappointed. I expected better from the reviews. read more

I'm a HUGE fan of Firehouse Subs... ever since I discovered my local shop down here in St. Augustine, this place has destroyed all other chain sub shops like Subway or Quiznos. You can still find better subs made up at local hoagie or grinder establishments, but Firehouse is always on point in making good, fresh, delicious subs on amazing bread. This place is no exception. It's kind of tucked away in the Town Center, not near any of the major stores or restaurants, but luckily it's near the awesome liquor store, so I always like to swing in and grab a sub for a quick lunch. The staff here is friendly, they make your subs to order, and the subs are delicious. Lots of options, hot or cold, covered in fresh veggies and lotsa cheese. There's also about 50 different types of hot sauce on the front counter, all labeled on a hotness scale, if you'd like to kick your flavor up a bit. The coke machine here is a bit weird, but pretty cool. I think there was about 100 different flavors of Coke products, you can mix and match, and it's all computerized. Takes a few minutes to get used to it, but it's pretty cool. The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars- the store was pretty dirty when I walked in, a lot of wrappers and lettuce and stuff all over the tables and floors. Not disgusting, but not super clean either. I love Firehouse Subs (especially the hot meatball) and definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great sandwich at a good price... way better than Subway or Quiznos. Will definitely be back. read more

Let me preface this with I love Firehouse food, used to work there as a kid, good stuff. This particular location is absolute garbage. Every time I try to order a) I call 29437 times and no one answers. 2) they don't even put an effort into making my order correct AT ALL. I have never once had a good experience here, EVER. Don't waste your money here go to Queens Harbor, Neptune beach, Georgia. Literally anywhere but this location. read more
