Amazing subs! Amazing service! Subs are big enough to share. 10x better than subway & 5x better than jersey Mikes.

I eat at this location usually once a week or more with my wife. Now no one is perfect and this place is no exception but having eaten at the FH sub location on 59th Ave I realized that overall this place is pretty darn good. I have high standards in fast food and I rarely buy burgers or sandwiches from the big 3 in fast food because the sub shops (this one in Particular) has far superior food. Prices are just a tad higher than a full meal at one of those places but this food is far better. I usually get a steak and cheese and delete the other items they put on except mayo and mustard. My wife gets the Hero and we have NEVER been disappointed in the food we received here. So I'll make this short as I just did a review on the 59th Ave location and I felt compelled to post a atta boy for these guys after seeing how much better they were than the other location. I can honestly recommend this place if you like fresh subs on fresh bread prepared like they were going to eat it themselves. read more

Firehouse Sub's commercial for the Meatball Sub sounded so good we had to try it and were not disappointed. Best Meatball sandwich I ever had. Then to change things up one time, my husband decided to get a brisket and cheddar sub and that was the bomb-diggity too! Now we get 2 big sandwiches of each and trade halves. Nicest & most helpful employees & manager! This week, I went in to grab lunch to go with my two little girls. Unfortunately, my car keys came up missing while I was in the shop. After I notified the employees, they went into action trying to help me find them - searching bathrooms, the service floor, trash cans, and exterior patio to no avail. Note, this is an extremely busy location and this happened during the beginning of lunch rush. The cashier politely asked for our contact information & I was told they would call me if my keys came up. Less than an hour later, the store manager called, & my keys were turned in! This was our first time trying firehouse subs & even though because of our own crazy circumstances we waited 2 hours to eat our subs, they were delicious! We will definitely be back & know that the subs will be even better fresh! A HUGE thank you to the manager Miciah & the rest of the staff!! Do NOT go to the Firehouse Subs on 67th Ave and the 101! We ordered 2 sandwiches and when we got home realized that both sandwiches were made completely wrong. We called them and the lady who answered was extremely rude. She told us she knew the sandwiches were not done incorrectly even though they're sitting right in front of me with all incorrect ingredients. She refused a refund or credit for both sandwiches and told us we had to come in to talk to the general manager Rob in the morning for a refund. She claimed to be the manager on duty that night but when I asked for her name to reference when I speak to the general manager she refused to give it to me and then she hung up on us. I have never dealt with such poor customer service. Even before getting our incorrect order all of the employees were cursing and talking poorly about a gentlemen in the restaurant, saying how they don't get paid enough to deal with peoples bullshit and that the guy was a "tweeker". SO unprofessional and HORRIBLE customer service! DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I usually love this place. Todays sandwich had onions, which I requested no onions, The top of the bread was saturated. In know the sandwiches can be a little messy but this was awful. Also It didn't look freshly made. disappointing day in the land of $8 lunches for sure. read more

If you like sugar and bread combined then this is your kind of place. Stopped in for lunch recently with my husband since we were craving a good sub sandwich and was hoping Firehouse would deliver. In my opinion it failed miserably. I ordered the "Firehouse Hero Sub" which includes smoked turkey breast, Virginia honey ham, roast beef, melted provolone. Hubby had the "New York Steamer" which includes corned beef brisket, pastrami, melted provolone. We ordered both subs "fully involved" which includes mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a dill spear on the side. When my sub was delivered they forgot the mustard. The sub looked good but that's where it ended. The quality of the meats was just terrible. The Virginia honey ham was so sweet I thought I was going into glucose overload. That's all I could taste of the sub. SUGAR!! Granted a honey ham can be a little on the sweet side but not like this. Husband's sub had no flavor. Simply poor quality meats all the way around. You can get a better sub at Fry's or Basha's using the Boars Head meats. I would not recommend this place. read more

Everything was good today until we saw an employee named Chris help another employee with taking out the trash. We watched him hold open the door, and play on his phone, then go inside to make another sandwich all without ever washing his hands or changing his gloves. Not sure if he help the other employee dump the trash but if he did it would be disqusting. My fiance went in to tell the manager and all she told him was to change his gloves (never once told him to wash his hands or to throw away the bread and start over on the costomers sandwich he had started to make) then the employee (Chris) even have the nerve to ask why. Walked in, and no greeting by anyone. The workers just looked at me. I placed my order and waited. And waited....and waited. They need to pick up the pace. Got my order home and discovered they gave us the wrong bread on each sandwich. And my husband's sandwich was about 3 inches longer than mine, but they were supposed to be the same size?? I called and complained, the manager was ok about it. He said that the bread they get in is inconsistent. What? Then cut it all the same length for cryin' out loud! Your Take?- My son & I arrived at the 59th & Thunderbird location at 8:49 Pm, last evening ( Sunday). A store that we regularly visit. We were greeted as normal when we walked in. We ordered andrecieved our food. While eating, we were watche the Sunday highlights of footbal on their Tv's.My son still had 1/3 of his sandwich left to eat , when Ryan(employee) turned of the tv we were watching. Another employee looked at him and said "Hey they were watching that". He replied "dont care,its the rules" The other employee relied" that is rude" Ryan didn't seem to mind. I piped in and told Ryan "apparently shutting the TV off is more important than losing a regular customer. That didnt seem to bother him,again. So off we went with my son repling to me, Da, why was that guy such a jerk? Don't know, some people just born that way. read more

This is a great alternative to your "regular" sub sandwiches if you're in the mood for something else. My favorite is the roast beef. It can get a little busy in here around lunch time so I always get mine to go in case there isn't available seating. I'd recommend any to try it at least once, though I've been back here a few times! read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Had the pastrami and it was terrible. Smaller than Subway if that is possible. The meat tasted like ham not pastrami and it had only a half slice of cheese on the whole sandwich. When I first saw it I thought it was the kids meal size sandwich, you couldn't tell there was meat on it until you took the soggy bread off. It was my first and last time eating here!! read more

When this place first opened up on 67th I was so happy a new sub place. At first this place was amazing the food was so hot and fresh and everyone was joyful. Now this place is quite and the foods okay. I felt like they put more effort back then. Now they just don't care. They don't talk to you or anything. Also the price is ridiculous. Not bad. I've had the meatball, the italian (whatever they refer to it as), and my favorite many times, the Cheese steak and it's always perfect. Very busy every time during lunch but that is no surprise. The place is always clean and the staff cares about making sure you're taken care of. I've seen first hand employees (maybe new) have a lil trouble with a register and the manager handles it in a professional way where they don't demean the employee and also make me, the customer, felt valued at the same time. I recommend trying out their own Lime-aid, its awesome. Also I love how they pay tribute to the local fire departments in the city they reside (Glendale, Az in this case) There's a huge Glendale Fire Truck hand painted on the wall and framed pictures of Glendale FD in action, amongst other tribulations dedicated to firefighters in general. Not to mention, huge flatscreen's with sports and News (FOX :) ) Go here, you will be impressed! read more
