Driving back towards Atlanta I made a quick cut through to the Ringgold highway to cut time off the interstate. it was a lot of traffic almost back to 75 I saw a fire house subs store. I was delighted to see it because I had wanted to stop at Fireside before leaving Nashville but I accidentally passed it up. Too dang lazy and too much traffic to circle back around. I pulled into the store and danced in to get my favorite the hook and ladder sub. I like everything on it except those onions. I'm sure they're great but for me nope, no onions. I walked up to the counter to place my order and was behind a lady who had come in and ordered about a dozen sandwich. She seemed a little annoyed that she wasn't going to get them immediately. The staff was doing everything they could to accommodate her with the other customers that were in there. I made my order and then wandered around a few minutes waiting for my sandwich to be ready. It was ready pretty quickly though; actually faster than I expected it would be considering the big order they had just taken. Everyone there was really friendly and smiling and seem to be having a good time. Please, if you have a great big order it's polite to call ahead so the staff can get it ready for you and they don't have to rush through everything including taking care of the regular walk-in customers. Back on I 75 S. heading towards Atlanta. It is getting dark and boy I wish I was home already. It has been one long, miserable drive. At least it hasn't rained. At least I have a really good sandwich to snack on while I'm driving. I've only got like two hours to go to get home and there's no way I can eat all of this humongous delicious firehouse foot-long sub before I get there. If I did I've had to pull over somewhere and take a nap.

Although the Firehouse app doesn't work well, ordering through the browser is fine. The sandwiches are always good.

I switch between different proteins because there's so many different options. I've picked the Harissa Chicken, Grilled Chicken, and Falafel. I like doing the half and half and each of those proteins were delicious. They were juicy and not dry. The veggies tasted fresh, the sauces and proteins were flavorful and so tasty. Also I love how we can choose up to three different dips. I pretty much go for most of the toppings except avocado. And also the dressings!! I mix it up every time and the combinations have worked pretty well together, in harmony with everything in my bowl. It's hard to pick a favorite veggie for me because each one is so good, but I'll always get the pickled onions and fire roasted corn. For me, I have no complaints whatsoever. I always describe this place as a Chipotle but Mediterranean. I always get takeout so I can't comment on the ambiance inside. But ordering online is fairly simple and straight forward. This is one of my favorite places in the area to go and get food. Oh and also the juices are great too. I always get the Cucumber Mint Lime because it hits every single time, but I'd like to try their other juices too. I can't wait until the next time I come back here. Love you CAVA!

This was my first time visiting the brand-new CAVA here on Gunbarrel Rd, and my family and I…read moredecided to check it out for lunch. We were excited to try something fresh and healthy, and CAVA's Mediterranean flavors did not disappoint! I ordered the Harissa Avocado Bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. The vibrant mix of flavors and colors made the bowl feel like a full experience - spicy harissa honey chicken paired with the bold hot harissa vinaigrette gave it just the right amount of kick. The Crazy Feta and hummus added a creamy balance, while the avocado, fire-roasted corn, pickled onions, Persian cucumber, and feta brought freshness and texture. All of it came together beautifully over basmati rice and SuperGreens. Every bite felt fresh, flavorful, and filling. For my drink, I went with a large cup of fresh lemonade, which was the perfect refreshing balance to the spice in my bowl. The service was quick and friendly, with the staff taking the time to walk us through the menu since it was our first visit. The ambiance is modern, bright, and welcoming - perfect for a casual family lunch but also a great spot if you're on the go. Fun fact: CAVA actually started in 2006 in Washington, D.C., and has grown into a nationwide favorite for healthy Mediterranean cuisine. They focus on fresh, customizable meals and even make many of their dressings and dips in-house! Overall, I'm so glad we gave this place a try. This new Gunbarrel location is a fantastic addition to the area, and I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying other bowls and pitas on the menu. Highly recommend!

So we decided to give it a go for our second meal of the day... or third? Eh. Who is counting? We walked in to see one girl working. Later, another young guy came out from the back. Another stayed in the back room. The employees were very kind and helpful. We were the only ones there, so the girl really focused on us and helped in guiding us. We ordered the original Italian sub "Mike's way". The Italian sub includes provolone cheese, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. It is typically served "Mike's Way" (lettuce, tomato, onions, oil and vinegar, and spices). I ordered without the tomato and onion and we both added jalapeños. It is a cold sub, but she was very kind to put the meat and cheese on the grill as well as the bun and make it a hot sub. We really enjoyed the meal! Tons of meat and so tasty. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

I literally couldn't believe what I was hearing. Not only that, the whole sandwich paper and sleeve were covered in grease when it got to me. I wish I could give negative stars. I don't care how busy the place is, this manager is clearly in over her head and not good at her job. $20 wasted on something I can't eat.
