The people were nice was the only redeeming quality about this place. On a New York steamer they gave me they put on piece of corn beef and one piece of pastrami. First time at Firehouse subs..I figured a fancier subway. Ok the bread is way better! Loved the bread! It was so soft and fresh! Got a basic steak and cheese with pepper-jack and it was very good. My son got the Cajun sub with chicken and a pickle and my son has never eaten pickles and he liked these! They have chips, soups, chili and Mac and cheese as sides and I will definitely return. West Virginia is a lovely scenic state but dang you need to step up your culinary situation. Even chain restaurants and fast food arent as good. We passed several chain restaurants to come here ... sighhh it fell short. First of all they were busy.. the service was slow. We got our food and drove off .. i got 1/2 Turkey sub .. was supposed to have extra pickle .. but no pickles. Was supposed to have mustard .. no mustard. With no condiments it was dry and gross.. the Turkey was slimy so i picked it off. Kettle chips were very good. Wouldn't recommend or return. read more

I generally speaking love firehouse sub's, however I don't what it is about this location but if you don't go in an order in person, your sandwich will get messed up, ordered online through grubhub and Uber eats and all 3 times my order has come back with an issue. The sandwiches are good at this location. The problem is the speed at which the sandwiches are made. I went once a couple months back during the lunch rush and it took over 30 minutes to get a meatball sub. I decided the reason for that was because they were busy. I went again earlier this week during mid afternoon. I was the only customer in the restaurant and ordered the engineer with no vegetables. Just meat and cheese. With no sandwiches in front of me, it took the staff 21 minutes to make my sandwich. I know it's not fast food, but other sandwich shops have taught me to expect faster sandwich making times than 20 to 30 minutes. read more

Food: Very good subs, with quality meats and ingredients. What I really like though, is the huge lineup of hot sauces they have at the end of the counter. I usually fill 3-4 little containers and try them out as I'm eating the sandwich. If you get a combo, the side is just a bag of chips. For beverages, they have the big Coke Freestyle machine. Service: Staff yells "Welcome to Firehouse!" every time someone comes in the door. Generally friendly, and well-staffed. Potentially longer wait for food depending on how busy they are, but it's due to the meat being cooked to order, which I'm fine with. Price: Over-priced. Sad, because that is the only reason I don't frequent this place more often Atmosphere: No booths, but plenty of seating, so it doesn't feel cramped. Interior has some Firehouse-themed decor, and just a couple TV's. Not too loud. Some of the best subs you can get in the area, however, the hefty price is the only thing keeping me from being a regular. read more

First time ordering using the online service. Picked up food thinking the order would be as placed and discovered when I got home(5 miles away) it was incorrect. Called and notified them and they stated I needed to bring back the receipt in order to get a new sub. Showed back up with the receipt but they refused to make a new sub because I didn't have the incorrect sub with me(my wife threw it in the trash after she discovered it was incorrect). Either they're very poorly managed or they're going out of business. They had no napkins, no potato chips besides 2 bags of Cheetos and most of the drinks were out. Ladies restroom was disgusting. I thought the sandwiches were pricey and the quality was average. The commercials show freshly sliced brisket being stacked on a hot bun. In reality, the meat is pre-sliced sitting in a steam table, so it's boiled and watery. The turkey was that phony pressed meat, so I wouldn't recommend it. By the time my sister and I drove to our cousin's home, the buns were mushy. Dined in about a week ago. Not only was the food great but the young lady who took my order was very sweet to not only myself but my husband and two children as well. She checked on us about halfway through our meal and asked if we were pleased with the food and services and YES we were. She seemed to be an incredibly hard worker, always staying busy and maintaining her bubbly personality even when the establishment quickly became busy. One minute she was taking someone's order, then making the food, then wiping down tables and sweeping ( she was even polite enough to ask if we minded her sweeping while we ate which was much appreciated) I was unable to catch her name but one thing about her definitely made her stand out besides her award winning personality, her bright, bold red lipstick and her flawless eye make up. To that young lady, thank you for making time spent with my family please tell and enjoyable. Also, know that your hard work gets noticed and is very appreciated.
