Soho's had a limited menu, but I've been wanting to try the "undecided" forever. It has egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, and a "salad salad". My son opted for spaghetti and meatballs with a side salad. The 'undecided" was $14, his spaghetti was $18, and I believe his side salad was $6. I tried one of his meatballs and I really liked it. Came in today for brunch to celebrate mine and my step daughter's Birthday. She & I both ordered the croffil (ham), and the hubs got the meat sauce spaghetti. Our waitress was amazing! Challenging evening for a local Italian favorite. We chose this location because of the great outdoor space. Everything from then on was a slight disappointment. Our order took a lot longer than expected and this was around 8:00 or so. Definitely past the dinner crowds. I ordered a pepperoni double crust pizza and out comes a sausage and pepperoni. I don't eat sausage, but sending this back would have taken another 30 minutes to get a correct pizza. The others ordered a salmon salad and had to request salmon as the dish came out empty of the protein. The steak salad tasted like "subway steak" from a statement made at the table. A local said, "this isn't quite the restaurant that it used to be." Maybe it was an off night, but like anywhere that charges the same prices for an off night, it was definitely a disappointment and not one we plan to experience again. read more

I was excited to find chicken piccata on the menu for Soho's. I was going to order through Door Dash. After going through the steps to place my order, I received a message stating that the chicken piccata wasn't available. Then it shouldn't have been on the website. Now, I am disappointed chicken piccata is probably my favorite dish. I was looking forward to eating in quiet. Every time we go into the restaurant, it is very loud. A friend who used to live there took me this past Sat. We sat inside the market and loved it. The food was so tasty and came out quickly. Our server was attentive without being a helicopter. I felt the prices were reasonable. It rained and sounded to nice and relaxing under the market tin roof. Live in Lewisburg so will be back. read more

Enjoyable Brunch! Four friends met for brunch on Sunday, July 20, 2025. We ordered half sweet iced tea and water to start. Entrees ordered were poutine with short ribs beef, croiffle with short ribs beef, and 2 breakfast pizzas. The food was very good, but the service was spotty. When the food was delivered we were not asked if we needed anything else. We wanted share plates and red pepper flakes, but did not get these until we were half finished with the meal. The dining space is large with hard surfaces, so very noisy. Some sound absorbing surfaces would be helpful. I recommend giving Soho's a try. read more

We stopped on our way through and ordered two sandwiches to go. After 20 minutes I went back to check on our order and there was only 1 sandwich. We ordered a chicken bacon ranch and an Italian sandwich along with extra pickles. I was informed that I would have to wait 15 minutes for them to put the order in and then be made likely 30 minutes until it was ready. The sandwich we did get had one piece of chicken on each half only a half piece of bacon and no ranch dressing. As we were on a schedule we decided not to wait for the other sandwich. We didn't want to pay another $16 for a sub par sandwich. Too bad that will now be our only experience in Charleston WV. The rest of the market was lovely! read more

Stopped at the Capitol Market to browse and found this restaurant tucked inside. We tried it for lunch. Ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza and it was very good. The crust is a very thin crust and the toppings are plentiful. They have a full service bar also. A nice stop for lunch! read more

Solid restaurant in a cool part of town with a fabulous outdoor dining area. Service was really good, friendly, efficient and helpful. Food was very good, especially the crab cake, which served as a main entree with a salad. Reasonably priced cocktails and wine by the glass. This place is not good. I had the escarole soup, but it was just okay. I'm not sure if it was old or just not well-made. I also had the trout. It was super salty (way too much), and tasted really fishy in some parts because the skin was not crispy. I tried to scrape off the gray fishy stuff, which helped some, but I couldn't even finish it. The bread and butter were decent, and the service was good. Apparently, they get a good name for the wine selection, but I didn't try any. Very disappointing for a $40 meal. Who knows, maybe I just ordered the wrong stuff. It seems like a lot of people get the pasta and pizza. read more

Update: Nice spot in the capital market, open ceiling with concrete floors. Views of the kitchen, the bar, open floor plan. The staff was sooooooooo friendly and went over the specials, what's the most ordered and their favorites. We had grilled shrimp and scallops, fillet, crab cake dinner and a few other things not pictured. Overall great food, nice location and awesome staff. Lunch update 2/6/2020 Took my grandmother in for lunch. She had a salad special that was grilled walnut chicken with spinach a few slices of Tomato tossed in a light and delicious dressing with a slice of bread drizzled in olive oil. I had tomato bisque (wish I had a photo) it was absolutely fantastic. I also had a sausage frittata what was very good also, the portion is HUGE and you can almost split it. This was my first time visiting Soho. I liked the ambience and vibe that was inside. I will say that the service left a lot to be desired. My server was ok, but we had to ask for EVERYTHING--refills, plates, out food etc. it was not busy when we arrived and was simply steady the entire night. The salmon was to die for. I had the lasagna but it was unusually dry. If it had not been for the drippings on the side to help it, I would have sent it back. Now the tiramisu was in a league of its own. The upscale feel mixed with the open dining space creates a unique dining experience that I was Surprised to find here in WV. The server was sweet ; the manager was a peace of shit , and the food was pretty much out of a can. I was pretty much ready to leave as soon as we got there. Would not recommend. The ambiance was OK except for the bartender drinking and saying how "they should of fired me a long time ago. We brought in our own bottle of wine and the manager on duty was the only one aware of a "rule " they have there of no outside wine can be served. Being in the service industry for as long as my wife and I have been we would recommend to stay away and that the owner should manage the management. They obviously don't have the business in mind between the quality of the food, and the attitude and training of the staff . SoHo's is in Downtown Charleston near an open air market. The food is Italian. My companion got a bowl of chicken noodle soup. His daughter got a cup of it with a glass of wine. I took a sip of the broth , it was good rich and tasted of oreg, which was a surprise. But good. i noticed his bowl had virtually no noddles or chicken though. His daughter had more noodles in her cup Of the same soup. I gave him some of the herbed chicken breast slices from my salad a which was unwieldy and gigantic. The Swiss cheese was sliced too thick and the tomato wedges were quarters , too large. The vinaigrette was good. it had artichokes in it. Sounded bette4 than it was. I brought most of it home. the place was really noisy inside. not pleasant. read more

One star for service, our waitress was very sweet and apologetic. We came on a saturday night at 7pm for our first anniversary dinner, place was about 30% capacity with a very loud group at the bar. Brought our own bottle of wine to enjoy with our meal which our server opened table side, then was informed by the "manager" we weren't allowed to do that ...so she corked it and bagged it for us... we ordered the antipasti for starter, gelatinous, fake balsamic glaze on the mozz, yuck. and 3 pieces of plastic in the artichoke/peppers, also yuck. We split a Caesar salad which came with huge hunks of tomato on the side, pretty strange but I can get past that. I ordered tortellini with alfredo and tomato/basil sauce, it came on 2 plates one with each sauce. Both were straight up canned, and not the good canned. Husband got carbonara, add steak, and it was also not good. Giant chunks of unrendered pancetta, like not even an attempt at cooking it down, just large hunks of fat. The drinks we ended up ordering were passable but the bartender was loudly complaining about how he should have been fired a long time ago and drinking. Every time the "manager" passed our table he would avert his gaze, fully turning his head to avoid talking to us or apologize. When we left he gave us a very weird smile and rubbed his hands together. It was honestly very menacing and weird! It was a comedy of errors and we can't help but laugh. We stopped in for a quick beer after flower shopping. We were seated, our waitress took our order, at which point we were unsure of what we wanted. We came in for appetizers, but got thrown for a loop since they didn't have any. So we asked for for a few minutes for us to decide. Meanwhile another waiter brought our beers. After 3- minutes and o e beer later we NEVER a saw our waitress again! We asked a 3rd wait person for our check and gave him $20.00 bill and asked for our $12.00 change (a the bill for 2 bottled Millerlite was $8.00! Another 15 minutes later our original waitress showed up with our bill, (2) $5.00 bills and $10.00. Very bad service and she did not even apologize. Her name was Marina, don't let her wait on you unless you like shitty service. Forgot to mention that we were there around 1:30-2:00 so the lunch crowd had stopped and there were only 2 tables that had two people each. read more
