This is a quintessential neighborhood watering hole. Lots of locals talking among themselves, above the din of the jukebox and TV, and chatting with the servers. Who were polite, if not very welcoming to this non-local. They brought menus, rattled off the happy hour specials and took my order quickly, but then ... nothing much. No, "You're not from around here, are you?" or anything like it. On the plus side, the hazy IPA was quite good. Lots of stone fruit with only a moderate amount of hops. And the mini-corn dog appetizers BLEW ME AWAY! Better than I've had at many a county fair, and corn dogs are my weakness. These were hot, the breading nice and golden, and brought with mustard for dipping. All told, the prices were good. Less than $10 before tip for the happy hour specials, which were tasty. If I was made to feel welcome, I'd probably make the trip again. The food was good but lots of places have great grub. I'll find one of them next time. read more

Food was good. Waitress was amazing. One warning. The Menus posted here and elsewhere are not the current pricing. An example : Their Big Specialty burger , the East Ender is a monster of a burger and I ordered mine made like a Mushroom and Swiss. Menu price shows $ 17 online. Actual price was $ 25 . This was true outside Yelp as well. Still, great restaurant. Would have been a 5 star review without the pricing surprize. read more

When I posted about hot dogs last week, a few folks recommended that I check out the dogs at East End Pub in Charleston. So, I grabbed the opportunity today. When the $11 plate of colossal dogs arrived, I knew the battle was on. These wieners weren't on your typical buns, but more like hoagie buns. The sound of Toto's "Africa" playing in the background gave the place a nice ambiance, as I bit into my hot dog like a Great White shark leaping out of the ocean to swallow an unsuspecting seal. As I took a moment to savor the taste, my mouth felt as if it was doing a "Sweating to the Oldies" segment with Richard Simmons. The homemade slaw and chili were both quite delicious. As I ate more and more, I began to struggle. I'm pretty experienced in hot dog eating, but this made me feel novice level. I found myself saying things like, "Kaci, you can do this," and "You got this, girl." The waitress knew that I was in trouble as a massive explosion of slaw came shooting out of my mouth, and she ran to my rescue with a handful of napkins. I'd rank the taste of the hot dogs pretty high, but I felt like a toddler gauming in a puddle by the time I was done. I wouldn't recommend eating these hot dogs if you are on a date or in a business meeting. What a dandy little gem, in a mostly residential neighborhood. It s small and cozy and intimate, like Cheers! GREAT burgers and wins, and a very nice price point! Daily and Happy Hour specials are a real bargain. How about a tall PBR Draft at Happy Hour? I think it was two-bucks! My Bleu Cheese Burger with Fries was outstanding! Sports on TVs. Another great dinner at the EEP. This time around we finally got to try the Buffalo Eggrolls, BBQ wings, Sweet Chili wings, and the crispy chicken wrap. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. First time here. We ordered the Luau and the Philly Steak with their fresh fries. My Philly was good, but I think they forgot to season it. The Luau was AMAZING!! The staff was friendly and checked on us often, and it was very clean. We would definitely come back to try other items on their menu! read more

I don't understand the 3.5 rating on this place. I took my husband on a drive to hit up hot dog places for his birthday, and this was one of the stops. Out of ALL the places we went to, this was THE best hot dog by far. IMO, East End beat Bogeys, Galaxy Lanes, The Pitch and Bammys with their hot dog. The bun is like texas toast. The chili was awesome and the slaw was perfect. Like a heavenly match. OMG....and the homemade fries...I could cry. This place deserves better reviews! read more

The food is incredible. It's real food that you would make for yourself at home if you enjoy cooking. Homemade sauces that are creative and delicious. Buns supplies from a local bakery. It's one of my favorite quick spots and I wish I thought of it more often. read more

Nice cozy little bar with fun atmosphere. Whether you are just looking for a burger and a beer or out with the gang for the big game, this place is where to be. Best reuben ive had outside of NYC, burgers are fresh and juicy, hand cut fries, and a good beer selection. All the staff are friendly and fun. On sundays they have homecooked comfort food that will remind you of grandma's house. Highly recommended and they have only been open a short amount of time. Nothing to write home about. It's very small space-wise, and a little on the pricey side. Like two egg rolls are $8 and tax. The egg rolls are probably their best dish. Never ever order the Philly. There's about 2 oz of meat on them, they're $10, and comes out in a hoagie bun. But I enjoy their trivia nights. The staff is real nice and helpful. read more

I've ate here several time and usually the food is GREAT....Today was the worst...I ordered the club with chips and I'm eating nothing but bread. I have one thin (see through) slice of turkey and one thin slice of ham with one strip of bacon broke in half. Usually I can taste the ham and turkey but I'm only tasting bread. The chips seem like they got wet!! This was the worst experience I've had here. read more

I live nearby and stop in regularly. The staff is always friendly and the food is always good. Prices are fair as well. You can't beat the taco's for 1$ on Tuesday and Trivia night is fun even when you lose. Often they have good specials on the weekends. read more

It's a small east end pub just like the name. But by god almighty visit this place and try Mean Mikes Sauce Wings. The are pure flavor combined with a perfect amount of eye watering heat that leaves you disappointed that your plate is empty. Come here. Drink beer.
