Zero stars. I paid $3,000 for a move. This company gave me no paperwork, and zero assurance that my household belongings would be in climate controlled storage. I was given no cost for said storage. I was ignored for several days, canceled the move, and was told that I would only get a $2,500 refund. This company stole $500 from me for supposedly buying materials for my move. I have seen zero proof of said materials, and IF articles were purchased, they could be used for another move. Also, what is confusing is that the man I was dealing with said he was camping, so how was he purchasing things for my move? I'm sure he has an excuse. We recently had some carpet repairs/cleaning done that necessitated moving the furniture out of several rooms. Being seniors, we decided we didn't want to do it ourselves and hired Firehouse on the recommendation of the carpet company. We were told it would be $250. for the two hours. Two young men arrived 15 minutes late (Without masks!) so the carpet technician had already begun. We have been through this process before with another company and were pleased with how smooth and logical the whole procedure was. While the young men were polite and certainly had muscles, they lacked the spatial ability shown by previous companies regarding stacking and placement. This was certainly evidenced by the fact that the carpet tech had to tell them they couldn't block the front door with mattresses (they had already blocked the hall to the garage entry and had bed frames and a table making the patio doors nearly inaccessible). They did not appear very experienced. I had previously been told "no checks, just cash or credit card" so I had my Mastercard handy. We were then informed by one of the movers (who was on the phone with his office) that there was a $7.50 tax on any credit card purchases. My husband and I queried this several times but they insisted this was a tax and we were required to pay this "Tax". I suspect this was a fee charged by Firehouse to recoup credit card fees. I may be old, but I am not stupid. I have yet to receive the email receipt as promised. If you need moving help, I think you could do better. With the exception of the treadmill, my husband and I moved and re-assembled everything ourselves the next morning. read more

Recently had this moving company as coordinate by our carpet company. Two men showed up on time, polite and efficient in moving furniture. I never asked the carpet company regarding masks policy for them or the movers as all our contractors and vendors we have worked with recently have all showed up with masks as part of the new norm. My biggest complaint is that the movers showed up with no masks and we did not have an disposable masks to give them or else I would have required them to wear them. We wore masks the entire time as homeowners and our carpet technician was also wearing a mask. Given arizona is entering another surge and masking is not a new thing given COVID started almost a year ago I am very surprised this was not required/enforced among employees or if those employees just chose to disregard? Firehouse moving please require you employees to wear masks! It protects them as well as your customers!! read more

My wife and I moved across town several months ago and used Firehouse Moving's services to do so. My wife was eight months pregnant at the time, so we needed more help than we typically would. Firehouse was very helpful, professional, and fast. They had our large furniture wrapped, down the stairs, and out the door quickly and safely. They had the garage empty of boxes shortly after that. On the other end, unloading the truck happened as quickly and efficiently, including moving some heavy furniture up a semi-narrow winding staircase. My experience with Firehouse Moving was great, and I definitely recommend their services. They are professional, friendly, and quick. Their prices are very reasonable and without hidden costs. Run, far and fast. The workers were terrible. They loaded furniture but NO BOXES OR ANYTHING IN BETWEEN! Said they were done and there were 50 boxes in the house. My wife and I ended up UNLOADING some items and reloading the right way to get everything on. When the POD arrived at the new home the bed was ruined from no padding, the $4000 couch had holes in the leather. We had 30 plus moving blankets available they used 8 of them. I signed up with Dusty to have two Men to load a U-haul truck. Everything was packed and a lot of it had already been moved into the garage to make it easier to load. The two men took five hours, if I had been under 65 I figured it would take 2-3. But one of the men stood around and talked to his buddy about his love life instead of working. The truck was poorly packed. every time I stopped on my cross county trip and to move items back. I called Dusty and asked him to e-mail another copy of the bill, but there was no follow up from him. I would not recommend them to pack a pick up after this. This was a 1200 sf house with a very small amount of furniture. read more

Had Dusty come to the house to give me a quote before the move. The truck and three movers showed up on time the day of the move. All three men very nice and hard working. At the end of the day the head man apologized and gave us money off the original quote since they were not able to put all our belongs on the truck. We had to make two more trips with pickups get the rest of our stuff. I think that is why we hire movers, so we did not have to do it. Firehouse movers moved my daughter's household from Buckeye to Tucson on 6/29/15. From the original estimate to the completion of the move, Dusty and Tim were totally professional and exceptionally careful. My daughter has several very delicate antique pieces of furniture and nothing was even slightly damaged. In addition, the move took about 2-3 hours longer than estimated but the only extra charges were for additional boxes that were added after the estimate was made. Considering all the horror stories regarding unscrupulous movers we feel very fortunate that we decided to use Firehouse Movers. I can certainly recommend Firehouse Movers with no reservations. Absolutely the worst movers I have ever used. I also Must advise that this move happened some time ago and never got around to writing the review do to the fact I had to deal with the issues that they created. First off they are not professional movers, just part timers and have zero experience. I was told I would have a moving truck and at least three guys. What showed up, hours late mind you, was a small box trailer and a one man and a boy, and I mean boy! This as was explained to me was his first job ever and that he was 16 years old and was trying to emancipate himself from his parents and the court required him to prove he could keep a job and this was his first day! Really! It' got better, he suffered a heat stroke/exhaustion an hour into it. The owner was no where to be found. The other guy that was there couldn't even reach him. Clearly he was over his head. Eventually he did provide a second body but by now at this time we were halfway through the day of moving. Mind you we were moving a 4 bedroom house that day. To complete the deal they moved some of my stuff into a shop that was supposed to go to the house. Well I should say most of my stuff as they left many items still at my existing residence. I should however be thankful because the shop where the items were moved to got wet from rain and ruined, requiring me to make an insurance claim. This guy is a hack. Save yourself the trouble and hire someone credible. He staffs with off duty personnel, and if they find a better gig they're not coming to your house. You would do better going to the street corner and finding day labor. Several attempts to contact him and he would not return one phone call. You have been warned don't believe the fake reviews you've read. read more
