The restaurant space isn't big so it may be tricky to find a table during peak hours. Nonetheless, I was overall impressed with the size of the wings. Oftentimes, wings can be small with more bones than meat, but this was the opposite. Order: -Thai chili wings: Love the flavor of this. It had a sweetness and also just a subtle spice. The wings were fried with a light crisp and coated well with the sauce. I can see how this is an extremely popular flavor! -Garlic parmesan wings: Pretty good as well. The flavors were mellow. I wish there was a bigger garlic punch, but decent. -Garlic noodles: This was a surprising miss for me. The noodles were more firm than what I'm used to. It's my first time ordering from here and I love the flavor selection, but why are the sizes of the drum sticks so inconsistent?! Some of them are almost as small as my thumb! I ordered the mango habanero, lemon pepper and dragon flavors. I wanted to give this place 4-5 stars, but first off the wings do not have consistent size and it makes it seem even more expensive. I also asked for ranch and honey mustard, but I didn't get any. I'm honestly kind of sad that I didn't get the sauces. The mango habanero surprisingly was one of the more popular flavors according to Yelp, but it was actually my least favorite. It was too sweet for my liking. It does have a nice kick to it. If you like sweet and spicy, you might like this! I didn't really taste much mango flavor and I just wish that the menu had a brief description of what the flavors are. Especially when the flavors have a name like dragon. What is a dragon supposed to taste like? I do really like the lemon pepper and the dragon. Had a craving for wings so went here tonight. Lots of flavor choices. I prefer boneless for the same price. We had Korean, Peking and Cali-rub. I also tried the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which was my favorite of everything we ordered. The chicken sandwich was perfectly moist and juicy. Even though they specialize in wings, I would return just for the chicken sandwich. It's a small place with not many seats inside. I was in the area with my boyfriend and decided to try this place. Parking here is hard to find unless you are ready to spend some time looking. After 6pm the parking is free, however before then you need to pay for metered parking. We've passed by this location quite a few times and realized there were so many people waiting that it must be good. When we came on a Friday night, there was quite a crowd and it was pretty hard to find a table to seat ourselves. I scouted a table while my boyfriend went in line to order food. After ordering we waited a long time for our order to arrive and finally when we got it the chicken wasn't super hot either. I would say we waited over 40 minutes for our food. The sauces were pretty good, however the wait was pretty bad. We decided that our order wasn't enough and decided to bit the bullet and order another round. This time the chicken was done faster, and tasted a lot better than the first time. All in all, if the wait wasn't crazy, I would definitely come back and get more. Fire Wings, you're still as good as I remember! I moved out of state for school and I had been craving Fire Wings for 4.5 months (lol). I've only tried their locations when I lived in Sacramento (where they first started!). My fave is their Howe location, and this location was the same in taste, which means their quality control is amazing! I had the 20 wing family pack to share with my bf. You get 3 flavors, large fries and veggies. So we chose peanut butter, salt and pepper, and garlic parmesan. The peanut butter was our fave, and still as good as I remembered it from Sac. Salt and pepper was good, but garlic parmesan wasn't as garlicky as I remembered. I think they also went a little heavy on the batter this time, but still tasty. Fries were seasoned perfectly, and they have a variety of dipping sauces. I have a soft spot for their Howe location because it is so big and open, with their upstairs and outdoor seating, their poke selection, and beer on tap. This location is about 1/3 of the size, and parking can be a challenge, but given the location, I'm still glad it exists! What I love about Fire Wings is the homey feel and their locations don't give off that chain vibe (even tho it basically is one in CA), and their flavors are unique. Dare I say best chicken wing chain in the Bay Area? I DO DARE!! My absolute favorite chicken wings and definitely worth the 40 minute commute from my place. The best part of their of their wings, sauced or dry run, is the CRISP. I'm a huge fan of Korean Fried Chicken and the crisp from that is very similar to Fire Wings. The Asian-fusion sauced wings are my favorite so definitely try the Dragon and Thai Chili wings if Asian flavors are your thing. The dry rubs aren't really my thing but they're always fried to perfection and the texture is never the problem here. Maybe a little bit on the salty side but I'd recommend the Cali Rub. The Garlic Noodles are delicious, perfectly seasoned with parmesan, parsley, and chopped garlic with just the right amount of moisture and noodle "push-back" texture. The Chicken Sandwich is NOT the move though, steer clear. The toughest part about coming here is the seating, it's a small restaurant so on a busy night, you'll have to be pretty sneaky to get a table right away; I've honestly just taken my dinner to my car before. The service is like Wingstop, you go up to the cashier and order your food and they bring it out to you when it is ready. Service was odd. So when I approached her, she said the other person will help us. What other person? When we finally had someone to take our order, we took our number and sat down. It would definitely help if the person over the counter would give suggestions to someone like me who never been there. I didn't know where to start because of the amount of selections. Speaking of selections, we decided to go with all dry rubs because saucy wings is messy. We got the salt and pepper, Louisiana rub, and Malaysian curry. The best one was oddly the salt and pepper. They had a note on the side saying this is spicy but its not. They just add jalapeños on top of the wings. The other two wings were overly salty. Three words: Nashville Fire Sandwich. Perhaps one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I have ever put into my mouth. The tender chicken, the refreshing cole slaw and pickles, the perfectly chewy bun, and oh yes, the incredible crunchy, spiced crust that makes you smack your lips with delight! You can pick the spice level of the chicken (I had "Extra Hot," which definitely wasn't crazy) and a sauce to go on it (the honey mustard added a nice sweet tinge). All in all, this was just the perfect sandwich! But at "Fire Wings," I had to try some of the wings as well! The Saigon Street had a distinct umami flavor with its fish sauce-laced coating, and the Dragon had a strangely sweet soy sauce-based dressing. However, I can't say that I found either one of these particularly impressive. I also tried the House salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, carrot) with grilled chicken and ranch dressing, which while certainly nothing special, came in a nice portion size for the price and added a nice refreshing element to the otherwise heavy meal.
