I ordered the 10pc combo that came with a drink and fries. 5 pcs mango habanero 5 pcs Saigon street. We also opted for our fries to be made extra crispy. Because we have about a 20 min drive home, we like to order fries extra crispy so by the time we get home, it isn't super soggy and still has a nice crunch to it. I personally didn't really like the Saigon street flavor. It tasted very fishy and I couldn't really handle the taste of it and I'm not someone who hates fish. But the mango habanero was delicious, one of my faves that I always get. One day.. I'll be able to try all the flavors. read more

After 6pm the parking is free, however before then you need to pay for metered parking. We've passed by this location quite a few times and realized there were so many people waiting that it must be good. When we came on a Friday night, there was quite a crowd and it was pretty hard to find a table to seat ourselves. I scouted a table while my boyfriend went in line to order food. After ordering we waited a long time for our order to arrive and finally when we got it the chicken wasn't super hot either. I would say we waited over 40 minutes for our food. The sauces were pretty good, however the wait was pretty bad. We decided that our order wasn't enough and decided to bit the bullet and order another round. This time the chicken was done faster, and tasted a lot better than the first time. All in all, if the wait wasn't crazy, I would definitely come back and get more. I've only tried their locations when I lived in Sacramento (where they first started!). You get 3 flavors, large fries and veggies. So we chose peanut butter, salt and pepper, and garlic parmesan. The peanut butter was our fave, and still as good as I remembered it from Sac. Salt and pepper was good, but garlic parmesan wasn't as garlicky as I remembered. I think they also went a little heavy on the batter this time, but still tasty. Fries were seasoned perfectly, and they have a variety of dipping sauces. I have a soft spot for their Howe location because it is so big and open, with their upstairs and outdoor seating, their poke selection, and beer on tap. This location is about 1/3 of the size, and parking can be a challenge, but given the location, I'm still glad it exists! What I love about Fire Wings is the homey feel and their locations don't give off that chain vibe (even tho it basically is one in CA), and their flavors are unique.
