After the fact I saw the reviews and I was like, "Oh might not get it," but as they came by to pick up my $100 Firewings order, I was pretty satisfied with my experience. I had to pick it up earlier than expected. I called in and they were there helping me speed up the pickup order. Secondarily they were very nice on the phone and in person. I was very impressed. Their parking is very convenient. You just park in the back and you walk to the front so that was parking nice. Yeah everything, we got all our wings. We weren't missing any wings. A good friend of my daughter gifted me with a door dash gift card, valued at $100, over two years ago. I'm an OG (74 years old) who is a bit slow in ordering something to eat by way of using a mobile device. Modern technology. Ugh! LOL. After a few times trying to redeem this gift card, I finally got the hang of how to order something using the door dash app. My first time using door dash was yesterday. I decided on Fire Wings at the suggestion of my roommate. I have never had their wings. I did see an ad on Facebook, where a blogger recommended Fire Wings. Delivery was on time except I put down the wrong address. The delivery guy eventually found me, waiting in my driveway. Eats: 10-pc. chicken wings (flats) and garlic noodles. Wow! Reviewing and perusing the menu took me a while to decide what my roommate and I wanted. Okay, we ordered a 5-pc. lemon pepper and a 5-pc. Peking. The lemon pepper wings were salty. However, the Peking ones were very tasty with a sweet cherry glaze. It reminded me of Peking spareribs. Garlic noodles were on point, absolutely delicious - thick noodles seasoned with butter and plenty of garlic. Yummy! The next time I want something from Fire Wings I will visit the brick and mortar. I love the wings here. We get them every Tuesday or Monday and they always give us extra wings. I love all the spicy flavors.

While walking by in Alameda, I spontaneously decided to give them a try. We opted for Saigon Street and Thai chili for the wings flavors, BBQ and honey mustard for the two dips to accompany them, and paid an additional $1 to sub zucchini sticks for the side. The zucchini sticks were pretty good, they were nicely fried and breaded and the pieces are small enough so even though you can see the zucchini piece inside the fried exterior when you bite in, you can barely taste zucchini itself (a plus for me because I normally find zucchini to be very plain). We decently enjoyed the wings as well, no complaints there. Be aware of the jalapeno seeds making them more spicy, however. The workers were friendly, and even left a nice happy new year message on the paper. read more

Blown away with the wing flavor choices. Beautiful dining room with windows on two sides and tall ceilings. Service was fast and friendly. When looking at the flavor options my brain was overloaded and brain power fizzled out. Dry rubs and traditional flavors and new flavors I've never seen before. New soda machine - I had some Starry soda - that is the new Sierra Mist for people who don't know. One odd thing I didn't like was the inability to add a little plain soda water - I always do that to make the sugary soda less sweet if I have the ability to. There were not that many non soda options. I really like places like Panera or The Habit that have tons of teas and fruit infused water options. I ordered the chicken sandwich and the fried zucchini as a side - I was able to upgrade the combo for an upcharge. I'm always more curious to taste an unusual side than the regular potato. The chicken sandwich had tomato and lettuce with mayo. The bun was of high quality and won me over even now that I'm a Tartine and Acme snob. The chicken patty was not overly processed meat and I was very impressed with the meat quality. I didn't like the flavor somehow - maybe the oil needed to be changed soon. I could sense a little something burned around the edges. I was able to sample the fries and chicken wings from my friend's order. The fries were not pipping hot - I really like when they are served dangerously hot - I mean really really burn your mouth hot. I get them that way only from certain restaurants. Susie Qs in Hayward and Brotzeit in Oakland come to mind. The chicken wings were very very good. The wings were topped with some fresh green onions and were cooked well. I didn't notice any burned or odd flavor as I did with the breaded chicken patty. This was a very convenient place to pop in before the YEE at Subpar on Thursday. If you are playing mini golf across the way I would think this might be a better bet than whatever they serve at Subpar. Service was fast and friendly. Promptly greeted upon entering and patient with the flavor options and discussing what most people like in order to narrow down the options. You clear tables yourself and there is no server. I like this concept as it keeps prices for the food lower. I really don't need a server to come bring me the food - taking 10 steps is fine with me. I've also noticed that if you are with little ones the informality of this style of dining allows for kids to move around a little - they like that as they are not assigned to and stuck to one spot the whole time. They can get drinks and maybe wander around a little. Wings are discounted on I believe Wednesday. If you are a competitive wing eater that is the day to go. Wings are trendy these days and even at the supermarket you will pay a premium for them. I would encourage you to explore all the odd sides as this is another highlight of the restaurant. Garlic Parmesan was good, salt and pepper was good too and they had bits of onions and green bell Peppers in there. The Thai chili was ok and the Peking sauce, reminded me of the sweet and sour pork. All in all I like that there were so many different options for the wings. Fries were nice and crispy. Unfortunately, the garlic noodles left much to desire. I had a good experience at fire wings. I was able to place my order online and it was ready exactly when they said it would be. I got Buffalo and bbq. Both tasty and sufficiently sauced. I also got ranch on the side and requested honey mustard and Buffalo on my way out - the person working gladly gave me sauces and didn't charge me extra. I've heard good things about many of the other flavors here so I will be back to try those out. There is an easy parking lot on the back side of fire wings with plenty of space. Fire Wings on Park St in Downtown Alameda! The other day I went by just after they opened, and ordered a 20-piece "bone-in" mix of wings and drums (to-go). I knew they had a big selection of flavors, but I chose a mix of BBQ, Salt 'n Pepper, and Peanut Butter. I asked for all extra crispy. The order was ready pretty quick. The staff was polite and knowledgeable. How were the wings? All three flavors were good, but the standout was the peanut butter. It was really tasty. The Salt 'n Pepper was crispy and crunchy. The BBQ was just plain. Why only 4-stars? Because the wings are a little small, like about 3" on average. I have bought chicken wings in the supermarket, and they weren't this small. I tried to order on their website at the location at 9:15 am until 11:28 am. But each time I submitted the order it said my payment wasn't accepted. First off... the website is misleading for payments they accept. It doesn't state until you hit pay then it pops up a notice saying they only accept 3 types of payments. Even after I change payments 2 times I was still unable to order for pick up OR delivery. I changed the order multiple times to see if I could still order. When I called the store once they opened, no one could help and I was even told it was my fault or it's my computer that had issues or a back end problem. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told he wasn't there and they had to call him on the other line. I asked for a discount if I still wanted to order due to the inconvenience and issues on their website and was quickly told no. I've ordered takeout from here multiple times usually through the app. This time happened to be driving by and wanted wings so actually stopped to order from inside and wait. Through the app the order is usually ready before their suggested pickup time or at least really close to it so I'd definitely go a little early to make sure you get your food hot. The wings and sides are usually a good portion and I prefer the texture of these over the wings from Wing Stop. I also prefer the flavor selection here as it is more Asian fusion and I find a better variety. I've tried a few of the flavors including buffalo, mango habanero, garlic parmesan, Jamaican jerk, Malaysian curry, lemon pepper and salt & pepper. I haven't tried some of their more hot flavors but would like to in the future. My usual go-to flavors are Garlic Parmesan and Salt & Pepper. They use nice big pieces of shaved parmesan topped with parsley so you get good cheese flavor (though if you let it sit the parmesan will obviously get stuck together and not stick with the wing as much.) The Salt&Pepper is similar to Cantonese dish of "salt & pepper fish fillet" with chopped onions and jalapeno peppers. If you don't take a bite with the pepper then it's less spicy but for added kick definitely get a piece of pepper in there. For sides I've had the garlic noodles (which is basically spaghetti noodles with garlic and parmesan), garlic fries and mac-n-cheese. Fries are usually crispy when fresh. If you're sharing between 2 people I definitely recommend ordering "Large" of the sides so there's actually enough food. Overall a nice quick wing fix with good flavor options. read more
