I went to this location after bad service from Popeyes chicken and found they are very welcoming and more cheaper and customer appetation

I used to think Krispy Krunchy Chicken (KKC) was all the same. But then the other day I was at Eastmont Mall just killing time, and went inside the Gazzali's Supermarket to look around. Someone told me the KKC was good here, so I got some to try. I ordered 6-pcs Combo w/ fries and biscuits. Well now, this chicken certainly is CRISPY and Crunchy! It was still crunchy when I got home. They gave me 2 wings, 2 legs, and 2 thighs. Can't really complain. It's kind of weird that wings are considered white meat. Very tasty. Some of the white meat on the small drumstick was a little dry. Biscuits were soft and sweet. The thick fries were soggy. Are they supposed to be crispy? But overall good chicken and good counter service. read more

I noticed a lot of Krispy Krunchy Chicken restaurants popping up and found out there is one located in mute food court of my favorite Supermarket Gazzali's Supermarket. So I ordered a family size with all the fixings and let me tell you "mmmmmm" just to remember I've had here before, but didn't pay attention to the name. What I and the family loved most was that seasoning and flavor were out of this world. Crispy and crunchy on the outside moist,tender and hot on the inside. I wish there was away to let the great smell come through the review; oh well must wait for future technology for that option. Another thing I liked was the pieces weren't dinosaur size and most of all the chicken wasn't greasy like most chicken places. After reading a glowing Thrillist write-up, I was wanting to try Krispy Krunchy Chicken for a while...Then the pandemic hit, so I put that thought on the back fryer. Finally decided after being vaccinated and mask-liberated to fulfill the fried poultry hankering. Ironically, turns out the supermarket where the chicken is sold is still a mask-on establishment. So out it comes from jacket pocket. I ordered 3 pieces of chicken, mixed, and 5 shrimp. The Good: It really is crunchy. Probably the most I've ever had. Which counts when it comes to fried chicken. The dark pieces were tender, as all dark pieces should be. The delicately-buttered, honey biscuit was satisfying. The Bad: The white-meat chicken breast was sinfully dry. It was like trying to eat one of those old chalk erasers. I struggled, but persisted reminding myself I had paid money for this in a masochistic attempt to recover some sort of return on investment. The seasoning was also minimal, as was any hint of taste, with the exception of salt, which was overpowering. The batter on the shrimp was similarly lacking, even devoid of the assault of the salt. It was just a thick coating of deep-fried flour. The Ugly: I discovered later I was overcharged and undersupplied. True, it was only $1 and one piece of shrimp, but still. He probably figured I wasn't local and wouldn't be back. Correct. You know I love gas station food! My travels throughout our great country has steered me to many places. Low and behold, Krispy Krunchy is at the Shell Station just down the hill from my hut! It's late in the night and I need to pick up my son from the airport. I stopped in for sodas and there's at least ten wings! They are mine. I carry out and find the cashier emptied the basket. He gave me sixteen wings. My man! Not greasy and the perfect Krunch! It's Louisiana style with a thick and crunchy coating and the meat inside is still moist and juicy. Cajun fish is overpriced. 2 pieces for 2 thin heavily battered pieces of fish and a hard biscuit. The batter doesn't have too much flavor. Oh love my hood chicken joints. Krispy is a well known chicken joint throughout the US. My first encounter was down in Florida. For those of you who don't like to leave your comfort zone this location is in a semi sketchy area. Once you pull up to the parking lot you will see Gazzali's Supermarket. The Krispy Krunchy is located in side. So when you find parking and make it pass the guys selling dvds/cds. Enter the store and head over to your left you will see the big Krispy Krunchy sign. When i arrived at this location it was kinda late a little before closing. i ended up getting the 4 piece with a biscuit. Most of the other items i wanted had already been sold out so i will have to come back another time. The first bite brought back memories of when i tried them in the dirty south. Only thing missing is a brown bag covering a 40. The chicken was nice and crispy bursting with flavor. The honey biscuit was warm soft and buttery just how i like them. I will have to say i can't wait to come back and try those buffalo wings. Hopefully this location will be fully stocked on my next visit . read more
