Not all wingstop locations are created equally. A lot are hit or miss and very few are gems. That's why I was really excited that there was this gem of a wingstop so close to me. Up until recently, the wings were always big and tender. Fries were always cooked to perfection and they always gave more than enough ranch. Lately, the wings are small, pretty dry and seasoning can be scarce sometimes (again, you never know lol). Fries are ..lacking to say the least. The 'large' size really used to be a large but looks more like a regular now. They are never 'well done' like I order them. I always have to put them in the airfryer if I get takeout. No more over-abundance of dips given, so basically you're paying almost 10 dollars for TWO sauce containers of ranch (whomp whomp) During our last pick up, they couldn't even find my order. So I had to cancel, and re-order. While waiting for the order, my boyfriend took a survey because the employees promised an additional order was fries which surprise, we didn't receive. I do understand recession hit EVERYBODY hard, but I would like chicken that isn't dry if I pay an elevated price. read more

I tried two sauces: original smoke BBQ and original hot sauce. a side of blue cheese dressing. The food was good, but very overpriced. I ordered the food online through DoorDash and went to the restaurant to pick it up. Orders take forever every time, orders always say 20-25 minutes and are always 45 minutes at minimum. If it's going to take that long as least put the accurate time so we're not wasting our time going there in 25 minutes if it really takes 45 minutes. Definitely a Wingstop issue, every location I go to is understaffed and always late. I don't blame the workers as they are overworked, I blame Wingstop and the franchise owners for understaffing every single location. read more

Updating my review as this location has changed a lot since - I no longer wait extended period of times for my order. Im not sure if it's because wingstop just isn't as popular anymore (my previous review was years ago) it's definitely empty every time I come compared to walking in before and people standing everywhere so I'd say the "hype" dying down definitely helped this factor. If I place an order and the estimated time is 10-16 minutes, I'll arrive about 20 minutes after ordering and it's always ready. Never any errors on my orders. All customizations always correct, nothing is ever missing. My only complaint would be the inconsistency with the size of the wings. Sometimes they're HUGE. Sometimes they're ridiculously tiny. Overall - for a chain wing spot, they've stepped it up since my last review and I tend to come at least once a month. read more

My latest hyper-fixation is protein and I was craving some crispy tenders so I thought, why not Wingstop? First of all, Wingstop lowkey expensive for a fast food spot, 7 tenders for $23, no drink or fries included. I got two flavors, hot honey and dry Louisiana rub or whateva and while the chicken was juicy, dat shhh be soooo salty! Like damn they would've been perfect if they pulled back on da salt just a little. And I tend to like stuff on the salty side (I'm Mexican) so if IM saying they're doing too much you know that shh is saltier than the Red Sea. Also their ranch is nasty and the fries were limp instead of crispy delights. Back to the salt, I had to drink 4 cups of water to wash down that salt and my lips became dry and cracked like the desert. Shhh gave me a headache kinda. I cut up my leftover tenders the next day and put them in a salad and that worked to temper the salt. I guess nobody is expanding elevated cuisine from Wingstop and it did the trick for my craving but forreal just slightly less salt and like $7 less and I'd come back more. read more

My husband wanted some lemon pepper fries so we took a pit stop before going home. When we arrived, we immediately were hit with a warm moist environment with no central AC. It was way too hot for anyone to work nevertheless eat inside the restaurant. There were 7+ workers on a Sunday afternoon and 4 of them standing and chatting while customers were waiting in line. My husband went to the front counter to order, no hello, and when he started to order, the employee ignored him and said "I NEED A NAME" my husband was shocked. We get that it's easy to hire high school, college workers but they definitely need to be retrained. When we got our fries, my husband asked for ranch and the guy said sure and then walked away. The front counter girl comes out again from her side conversation and goes, "$2.XX" and my husband said "oh, ok" we did not mind paying but the way the girl rudely talked to my husband again, rubbed us the wrong way. Been to this location several times out of convenience, but this will be my last. None of my visits were particularly awe inspiring but this was the last straw. General issues: Staff does not seem interested in assisting Wait times are excessive- I have seen multiple people (including myself) get upset at this location about not receiving their order within the expected time. Sometimes 15-30 minutes longer than originally estimated. Food is good enough once you eventually get it. I spent almost $30.00 on 15 classic wings today. I asked for mango habanero, garlic parm, and the new lemon pepper one. I received 7 lemon pepper and 8 mango habenero. When I called to ask about this issue as it wasn't what I ordered, the employee said "the computer must have changed it from 3 to 2 flavors when I printed the receipt" so I asked if there was a way I could still get the garlic parm wings I wanted, and they said I could "only get more wings if I ordered and paid for more." This is a review of the food at Wingstop in Alameda during the Covid-19 shelter in place. DoorDash offered free delivery on Labor Day. I ordered the 15-pc Boneless Wings, 1/2 BBQ and 1/2 Garlic Parmesan. I used ranch dressing as a dipping sauce. The boneless wings in general were OK. They seemed overcooked, not very moist. The texture and moistness suggests frozen meat. But, I wasn't there to see them prepare them. The garlic parmesan wings were a little dry, and needed the dipping sauce. The seasoned fries.......don't order the fries. I opened the takeout box and saw overcooked limp fries. I'm a former fast food mgr, so I'm a little qualified to talk about fries. French Fries have a limited holding time of 7-10 minutes. After that, they get limp and lose their crispness. So if you order fries, you should enjoy them in the restaurant or right outside in your car. I also notice my fries look exactly like everyone else's french fry photos on Yelp.....kind of overcooked and limp. So, did I enjoy my meal? Will I order from Wingstop again? Maybe because I was there near opening time, maybe because I sat there while they cooked and the aroma of frying food got to me, but I was totally satisfied with my chicken wings, both bone-in and boneless. Fries? A bit too much seasoning for me, but they were good and plenty. No issues with customer service; she actually was patient as I was figuring out sauces and seasoning and and answering questions about how to order just wings, no fries. Food was hot. I timed it so that I had enough time to run into Raley's and my food should be about done. Ordered 30 piece wing meal. Wings weren't as crispy as they could have been considering I asked for well done but they weren't bad. They also weren't as seasoned as they normally are at other locations. I was quoted 21-26 minutes via app - I was picking up at 40 mins and it wasn't done due to them cooking the fries. In this case, it was ok because I hate soggy fries so it worked out but it would have annoyed me if I would have been standing there waiting the whole time. Staff was friendly enough - kudos to the front end staff that was cleaning and wiping things down during down time. If I could give this WingStop location negative or even 0 stars I would!! Both my experiences at this location have been awful. To begin, they employees are rude. Both times I've ordered at this location their system has been down or something has gone wrong which makes the wait time way longer than the estimated wait time on the app. The first time I had to wait over 45 minutes for my pick-up order when the app said 25 minutes. There were multiple people in their waiting for their order as well. Yesterday I ordered for pick-up again and their system was down. There were over 20 people in there waiting for the order and the employee had to go person by person to write down their order and prepare that for them which also made the wait time longer than it was supposed to be. I understand that the system being down is something that is out of their control, and it can be extremely frustrating but the employees here are very rude and unprofessional. Something that is in their control is the food that they serve to their customers. This is by far one of the worst Wingstop experiences I've ever had. To begin, the fries were burnt. But the real issue here is that the sandwich I had order had moldy bread and chicken that was legit brown. This is extremely DISGUSTING.
