A nice alternative to typical ballpark choices of hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders and pizza. A bit pricey, but you have to remember you're eating at a stadium and this is way better than most options. The lines can move a little slow though, so go well before the game begins. Ribs: I was looking forward to these the most. They were definitely good, but not amazing. More tender than Chinese spare ribs, but I've had a lot more tender BBQ-style ribs. Got a bit of a chew going. Pork Slices: I was least looking forward to these, but they ended up being more favorite. None of that stringy pulled pork nonesense. Sliced super thin and full of porky goodness. They did an amazing job of carrying the BBQ sauce. I'd totally be up for a whole sandwich of this next time. Tri Tip: Not quite Buckhorn, but pretty darn close. You kinda lose some of the flavor under all that BBQ sauce, but that's fine. Potato Salad: Creamy. Big potato chunks. Nothing fancy to rave about. I honestly did not show up to the proper location, they had a booth at the Kono first Fridays. (Well this month it was rescheduled due to rain) . I had a combo plate with tri tip ribs and fries. Encountered this place at the Seafood and Soul festival yesterday. My husband and I were really hungry so I figured we couldn't go wrong with Mac-n-cheese. I was wrong. Each side was $9. I got 2. We had to separate the noodles from the grease in order to eat it. We're going to have to do a cleanse just to get the grease out our system. Mac n cheese should never be sitting in oil and then they had the nerve to sell this crap. The owner was fussin loudly at all her employees. No professionalism, decorum, or customer service!! It was AWEFUL. I should have walked away when she was doing that but I still wanted to support black businesses. Never again will I ever. I wasted $20.84 on a plate of grease and noodles. I feel like I was robbed!!! We as a people have to do better and show up with Excellence Everytime!!! I wish I could rate it an infinite 0. Get the value deck seats and get a $6 credit. We were able to get a 1-side order plus tri tip sandwich for 11 bucks. There isn't anything better than watching a good Warriors game and chowing down on a plate of quality BBQ from the Ribs and Things stand outside Section 119 & 120 at the Oracle Arena. Who would pay $8 for a hot dog when you get a heap of good BBQ with a side of potato salad and bread for $10.50? Read my original review for all the specifics. The one thing I have to add is that a dinner plate with one meat is $10.50 while the two meat combo is $16.50. You get about the same amount of meat with both plates, the only difference is that you get two types and get charged $6 more with the two-way combo. So just get the other person you're with to order a different meat and share. The sliced pork is still my favorite, but yesterday I was able to try the pork ribs. Tender on the inside, and smokey on the outside. Can't beat it. Just ask Mikey (see pics). Side note: If you can't make it to the Arena for their eats I hear they have an actual restaurant in Hayward. But from the reviews it doesn't sound that great. Go figure. I'll stick to their red stand at the Oracle. Ribs while watching a basketball game... talk about living in luxury. I got the 4 meat combo with a friend with a dessert of red velvet cupcakes. Beef ribs - these were a bit tough and hard to eat. Almost not worth the effort. Pork ribs - very tender and tasty. Probably the best meat out of the group. Tri tip - it was good, don't remember much about it though Brisket - very good, especially with bbq sauce all over it Red Velvet Cupcakes - these were okay. A bit too chewy for my liking and frosting was more sweet than cheesy, but still a good way to end the meal. Did want a glass of milk with it though. read more

On a recent Monday, the new owners of the Golden State Warriors treated its fans to a half off promotion on tickets, food, and drinks. Noticing this stand on the upper concourse during another event, we picked this stand for dinner. Arriving shortly after 6:15 pm, there were five people ahead of us in line, but the line did not move because the cash registers were not working. As a result, we waited twenty minutes while a supervisor or IT person tried to fix the problem. As the line grew, the staff scrambled to fill orders the old fashioned way, cash only and using a handheld calculator. We both ordered the Four-Way Combo with our selection of BBQ pork ribs, Tri Tip, Chicken, and Hot Links which came with a soft bun and a scoop of potato salad (regular price - $23.50). By the time we left the stand, the line was thirty deep...whew! As we dug into our food at our seats, we patted ourselves on the back for getting this DEAL. The portions were generous with four pork ribs, a chicken thigh and drumstick, sliced links (they weren't that spicy), and thinly sliced beef; meats were okay, but the Tri Tip tasted stale. They also doused the food with a heavy spoonful of BBQ sauce, great for bread dipping. The potato salad was good, but the portion was a bit skimpy. I ended up bringing one chicken piece and two pork ribs home. We saw one attendee bring three or four bagged boxes home towards the end of the 3rd quarter. For $11.75, yes, it was a bargain. The things I despise most about catching a game at venues like the Oracle are their strict no-outside-bevs/foods policy and their ridiculous price-gouging at concessions... Till I met Ribs and Things. Forget $8 cheeseburgers (that taste like those from the dollar menu, ick) and $5.50 20-oz Cokes!! Now I can pig out on tender, saucy ribs and slurp down refreshing sweet tea while cheering on my boy Nash as he makes a crazy behind-the-back pass to JRich! Gooo Suns! And let's go Warriors... You're my second favorite team! :) $11 gets you 5-6 BIG, meaty pieces of pork short ribs (or beef ribs or tri-tip or links, if you prefer), a side of potato salad and a roll to sop up all the sweet, savory, finger-lickin' good bbq sauce. I've paid more than this at chain bbq restaurants and left totally unsatisfied, so it makes me happy when I can get good eats at an unexpected place. I definitely appreciate that they hook it up with the sweet tea, as well. $4.50 may seem like a lot for a drink, but about 1/5 of the cup is ice, and they fill it all the way up with tea... sweet! Just enough ice to keep the tea cold, and plenty of lemony tea to keep you hydrated throughout the entire game. There is also plenty of yummy-looking desserts (red velvet cake, pecan pie, pumpkin, etc.) to choose from for those with a sweet tooth, and at a pretty reasonable price ($4-5). They're located on the second level, and the line wasn't too long during the end of the 1st quarter -- about a 3-5 minute wait to get to the register, and I had my food in hand by the time I was done paying so I didn't miss too much bball action! My friends made the regrettable decision of doing business with the burger/hot dog/soda stands, and after seeing my awesome bbq, NONE of us will ever spend another penny on any food at Oracle but from Ribs and Things. read more

At last, finally some tasty BBQ. I waited til the 4th quarter of W's vs. Knicks game to get me some. The line finally died down and that's when I made my move. Two way combo. Sliced pork and ribs. Potato salad and Dinner roll. The meat was very good. Tender and the sauce was just right. The potato salad was good but the portion was too small. It was like a child size ice cream scoop. Give me the grown up scoop, I'll pay extra if I have to, just give me more. The dinner roll was stale, I hope it wasn't left over from the game earlier in the week. The crowd erupts and stands as one...except for me. I couldn't stand up as I was cradling my order of sliced pork with potato salad and bread. I had left 2 minutes before halftime, stood in line through halftime and missed the start of the 3rd quarter to get my BBQ from Ribs and Things. After that long wait, I was just as busy with my food as I was following the game. The BBQ from Ribs and Things were one of the highlights during my last year as a season ticket holder with the Warriors. For a relatively cheap price of $9.50 (up to $10.50 this season), you get a large heaping of BBQ (sliced pork is the best), potato salad and bread. It's probably the best meal deal in the Oakland Arena. Since giving up my season seats, I have attended a number of Warriors games. I always make sure I make it out for a plate (or plastic to-go container) from Ribs and Things. Unfortunately, my two favorite Warriors of the past few years, Baron and J-Rich are long gone. Until Monte, Randolph and the new crop of Warriors "kids" bring excitement back to the basketball court, Ribs and Things will be the highlight of Warriors' games. read more

For the first quarter, I barely paid attention to what was going on in the game. If you aren't eating RibNthings at the game, you are wasting money. The bbq is delicious and worth the money! Sure, it is $18.50 for a 2-way combo, but you are getting 2 decent portions of each meat along with a side salad and a roll. It's a little ridiculous for people to complain about spending money at the game when you are willing to pay $6 for a water or $5 for nachos that will only lead you to buy another $6 hot dog and $4.50 for a churro. You do the math. My husband and I can share a plate of hot links and pork ribs and can be extremely satisfied while washing it down with a nice cold beer. I frequent Warrior games and my tip to you would be to make this your FIRST stop. If BBQ isn't for you, there are some delicious chicken wings right next to the Ribs spot called "Warriors Wings." Every time I go to a Warriors game, I tell myself that I'll try something new. Despite my best intentions, I always end up getting food from Ribs and Things. This should tell you how good it is. I recommend getting the sliced pork dinner (they smother it with really tasty, tangy BBQ sauce), which comes with potato salad and a piece of bread. The combination of it all is just too difficult to resist! My only gripe is that the meat to bread and potato salad ratio is a bit too large. What I mean is that there is so little potato salad and bread that you'll find yourself with a lot of leftover meat with nothing to complement it with. That being said, that's a lot better than having it the other way around: too little meat and too much potato salad/bread. Regular customers: you should know that Ribs and Things recently moved from the lower level to the upper level (around section 219 or so), and they actually take up an entire concession area now, as opposed to their makeshift stand from previous years. Movin' on up! One observation, though, is that they aren't nearly as efficient as before; the service is a lot slower. Some advice: grab a plastic to-go bag and put it on your lap before putting the plastic to-go container on your lap. The meal is delicious, but it's also messy. read more

The best stadium/venue food Ive tasted!!! Extremely long lines..so if you get here early for the event..come straight to this line to get your food asap!!! Ribs are extremely saucy yummy goodness..love the sauce that is left over on my fingers!! yummmm o. Sweet tea is heavenly!! They dont pack it with ice so you get more tea!! The employees are nice..but dont forget they have to deal with alot of people!!! So be ready to place your order when your turn is up. Ladies..this is super messy food! Why would you pay $7 for a hot dog $6 for garlic fries when you can pay $10.50 for a handful of sliced meats smothered in sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, a scoop of potato salad and a roll!? I'd recommend getting the sliced beef or pork over the chicken and ribs. It just seems like you're getting more bone vs. the real deal. My boyfriend and I always hit up this spot and we are always satisfied... the line is ALWAYS long, so the minute you get to Oracle, stand in line. Could it be true: A great meal and a Warrior victory? I know, I was shocked at BOTH. Cmon, who'd thought they would beat New Orleans w/out Monta Ellis. OK, enuff hoops banter for the review. My friend raved about the wings, ribs, and potato salad here. I was sorta hungry, but didn't want to deal with the aftermath of a Homer Simpson "sauce on the face" look after eating ribs. So I settled on a BBQ sliced beef sandwich. Excellent choice! They pile on a decent amt of meat on the sandwich roll. Not doused with BBQ sauce, but still has that flavor proportionate with every bite. That with a brew and the grand total was around 16. Considering the other generic concession items are up there in price and can be somewhat forgettable, this was a great value. This concession is just outside section 119, or what I call the NBA Live 95 seats. I only wished they had a lil more advertisement and room in the line, as the concession gets packed in a hurry. But great place for carnivores and I'd recommend the BBQ sandwich and I'll probably try the 2-item combo. Ribs and Things has got to be one of the most happening places inside the Oracle. We were walking to our seats for the Warrior's game and we couldn't help but smell the amazing aroma of ribs. We were soo happy to find out they were located right by our section!! The line took a while, but it was worth it. Who wouldn't want to enjoy some ribs while watching a live bball game? We had the two-way combo of pork ribs and beef links. The ribs were full of flavor and the links had an extra kick to it! It was more than enough food for me, but seemed perfect for the bf. We also had their sweet tea which complimented the ribs really well. I think this is going to be my choice of food every time I'm at the Oracle. read more

I'm always suspect of BBQ in California and certainly any that is mass produced. Had a link sandwich, which was actually quite good. The BBQ sauce was the right blend of sweet and smokey. Messy, but they provide lots of napkins, including the moistened kind. I would actually go here if it was outside of the Arena. read more

The best food in the Oracle Arena even though that is not saying much. I ordered the BBQ pork plate which comes with potato salad and a french bread. I also ordered the beef slice sandwich. My friend ordered the beef ribs, a decision I almost intervened with because next to the hot links and pork slices, the ribs looked completely dry and all bone. The BBQ pork plate was tasty but I assume it's because the meat was drowning in BBQ sauce. I can't imagine anything drenched with BBQ sauce tasting anything less than great. Soon my potato salad was drowning in BBQ so I thought enough was enough. The beef slice sandwich is essentially the same thing ... bread, beef and an over abundance of BBQ sauce poured on top. In retrospect, I probably should have just ordered the sandwich both for diet and reasons of redundancy; it was like eating the same thing twice, served-up and presented in a different fashion. On a side note, looks like they jacked up the prices of every item on the menu by a buck. Strangely enough, my BBQ plate was more expensive than my ticket (transaction fee included) for that night's game. I started to notice ticket price reductions and the appearance of game pack deals (4 games for $75) being offered and advertised throughout the arena. It's a shame that poor management and coaching of an otherwise solid roster is resulting in a bad season and dissipating fan attendance. I just had the worst experience at Ribs and Things just now...I ordered 6 items from them though Grup Hub and among them were Hunan scallop and collard greens...Well when I opened the Hunan Scalloped it stinked of Rotten Fish and I did not eat any of it...when I tasted the green they were cooked with so much salt that I could not eat that either...the fish sandwich however was delicious and so was the potatoe salad...So my husband told me to go back and ask for a refund...Well when I went into the store just now and asked and asked them to smell it she said thats the peppers and nothing is wrong with it...she then began to yell at me saying you have to call Grub Hub...I said mam I am not yelling at you...she kept yelling and I said Im not being disrespectful to you why are you yelling at me...and then the man said get out of my store...Well I am a 1st Grade Classroom Teacher for PG County and I have never been spoken to like that...My Husband is a Federal Detective and I was treated with so much disrespect that I was really surprised because I am a good cutoremer to them...I have owned my home here in Brentwood for 12 years and have eaten there for over 30 years...I know rotten meat when I smell it...I guess that the customer in not always right in there opinion...So called Grub Hub....I have never had a complaint ever about food when I have ordered through them and they apologized, refunded me my$15.00 and gave me a $10.00 Credit... I was with my daughter at the Warriors' game last night for Chris Mullin's retirement ceremony. Well, where I sat (Section 120, Row 28, Seat 19), it was not too far from Ribs and Things, so she and I jumped up and headed out to their concessionaire stand. Whoa, the price went up on a two way combo ($18.50) and there went my $20 that quick. I got the last two way combo (links and tri tips) with only a piece of bread and no potato salad. I should have asked for another piece of bread to comp for the potato salad. Because I did not get a discount, I'm gonna knocking it down one star I wanted a piece of the red velvet cake ($4.75), but being almost broke I had to forego the dessert. With $1.50 left in my wallet, I probably would have gotten one lick of the icing...LOL. I did not want to put this purchase on a c.c. and then be faced with interest charge. The tri tips were very tender, moist and delish...much better than that "stanky" tofu sandwich that someone was eating in my section. Hands down one of the best tri tip sandwiches I've had. I've also tried the pork sandwich and it was also very good. Prices are some what high, but they are at all sporting arenas. Located in front section 119, you'll quickly notice Ribs and Things has the longest line of any other vendor in the stadium. My bf and I came yesterday and food options were limited and unless you wanted hotdogs, chicken tenders, or burgers, this was your only other vendor choice. We got the two meat combo for $18.50 and I really hoped the taste would ease my skeptism to spend so much on bbq. Nope! The food definitely smelled good when we sat down but the taste was just nothing spectacular. My ribs were a bit charred and tough. The beef was nothing special and eve lacked moisture. The bread was simply a cut up piece of hotdog bun. The potato salad is your default side dish. I was even a bit grossed out by the server. Her 3-4 inch long nails broke though her serving gloves and I don't understand the point of her even using it. I can let go of the fact that her hair was not tied back by a hairnet, but I don't want the grim from your nails in my food! All in all, the bbq here is not fantastic at all. The pork ribs are basically excellent. The sliced beef and tri-tip, not so much--dry and overcooked. The small potato salad and roll that comes with the dinner are basically filler.
