You will not find a better course than Fire Future for gaining your EMT qualification. I took the January 2020 course and passed in March, I can not believe the amount I have learnt in the last few months. You get everything you need in this class, your CPR certification, theory lessons and hands on skills. All the instructors are current Fire Fighters or EMS workers that actually work in the field, not teachers who have never done the job. You get the most up to date training with experienced instructors, answering ANY question you have. Like anything in life if its worth doing, its not going to be easy! But if you listen in class, study and apply yourself you will pass. Every instructor goes above and beyond to help every pupil either with the theory or practical aspects, their stories are not only interesting but really help you understand how what they are saying applies in the real world. Not only are they all vastly knowledgeable but all such nice people! You will learn and you will have a good time doing it in this course! I highly recommend this course. I was very impressed at how the instructors really take the time and genuinely care and want all students to succeed in passing this class. This class really prepares you for the National Registry. Both of my son's took this class and I'm Proud to say that I have two Certified EMT's that passed the National Registry on their very first try. Perhaps the person who was disappointed with this course needs to reread the Fire Future website better. It clearly states 100% participation and maturity from the student. Fire Future is an awesome Program! Captain Ed Cook certainly sets his students up for success 100% of the time. He is able to connect to each and every student in the class, and its an amazing journey to be a part of. The Fire Future staff is extraordinary, each individual staff member takes teaching the next generation of students very serious and they too connect to each student while providing unique insights and life experiences. Being enrolled in the course is a humbling experience, I'm very fortunate for the good habits I developed upon completion of the course. Of course one must study the course materials to pass the course, if you at least do that you have set yourself up for an opportunity to pass the course. I never once felt like ''just-a-number' while enrolled in the course, my fellow classmates, instructors, and Captain Ed Cook, are now my family forever. I took this EMT class last year from early September to late November and this has been the most rewarding class I have taken. I had hardships throughout the class and almost was dropped from the class due to poor grades, but I received so much help and support from all the instructors. I passed the final and took the NREMT test and passed. Now I am an EMT for Falck LA County and working toward a Firefighting Career. I still go back to the class every so often and as Ed likes to say we are a "Frat". It is like a family there and I can talk to everyone about how things are going on in life and work as well as getting to network with the instructors and getting advice and insights of fire related topics. Coming from someone who took a course at West Coast EMT in Anaheim for their first time and failing, I'd recommend this place to anyone and everyone who wants to be an EMT. I've been though Two EMT classes and Ed's class was the best. Ed and the instructors actually care about their students and treat them with respect. This program doesn't care about anything but making sure you make it though. While you are in class, the lectures are actually interesting and not plain. If you didn't understand something you can ask him all the questions you want and he will help you understand it by relating it to something you are familiar with, he just always find a way. One of the greatest experience I ever had. shoutout to the whole team that works at fire future.This class is not for the weak.This class is no joke, come correct and be ready to study your butt off. It took me two tries because the first round I thought I was going to pass with no stress. I came in with the mentally how hard can it be. Definitely life changer coming here. Went to another program and the instructors make sure you know what your doing before you are out in the field. Ive seen Fresh new EMTs come out of other programs and are clueless to what they do. I loved attending fire future, from the knowlege, to the skills, AND networking available, anyone who takes this class seriously will have laid a solid foundation for a bright future. Most of the instructors are also still working in the field, keeping all the protocols and procedues learned as upcto date as possible,and comes across especially well when doing scenarios or drills, getting to learn from real and current emergencies.
