Marianela, our instructor, kept the class engaged and totally hands-on! She was very funny and insightful! We watched her demonstrate everything on the mannequin, and then got multiple chances to practice CPR and choking scenarios on both adults and babies. She made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident before moving on. I would 100% recommend this class to anyone, and I'll definitely be coming back for my renewal! Recommend highly! Hands-on training, very clear, very informative. The instructor had some amazing stories about his personal experiences, which made the class entertaining; however, they weren't digressions -- every single one of them had a point. Multiple convenient class times were available, and the price was about the same as if I had gone to the Red Cross. As long as I live in the area, I'll get any training I need here. The only thing that could have been better was if I could have signed up for a specific class day and time online. Instead, after I paid for the class online, they emailed me with a choice of days and times. This worked out fine; however, the process was not entirely clear from the website. read more

I received an email from my manager stating my BLS was expired, so I immediately went on Yelp to search for classes near me. First Class CPR came up first and I saw the reviews and decided to call. Luckily, I was able to be scheduled for the following day. Evan, who is a police officer, was my instructor. He is so knowledgeable, made the class enjoyable, has a sense of humor, and tells great stories. This has been the first BLS class I've taken that wasn't boring and didn't feel like 2 hours. This place was phenomenal. We walked in, Evan greeted us warmly. Nella was our instructor she was so welcoming and explained everything thoroughly. Kept my attention the whole time with pictures that told a tale, personal stories some ending in heroism and others not so fortunate interspersed with her own dash of comedy. After ever little section of information she asked if we had any questions and never made my questions feel silly. I am very new to this so my questions may have seemed amateur but they weren't to her. I wanted to make sure I understood every bit of information and she was right there to help me. Not only did we learn CPR and Heimlich maneuver on adults but on infants as well. She also gave us extra information and a bunch of little tips and tricks to other first aid issues. We all had some time in front of the class to preform a correct CPR training which was great because it felt more personal with eyes on you, and at the end she surprised us with a "panicked mom act" asking me to help her baby. Which i failed terribly at because i wasn't expecting it ahahah but it was great. It really gets your mind going and focused on what you need to do in case of emergency. I feel very confident if there is ever an incident that i come across that requires CPR i will be able to handle it with efficiency and confidence.. thank you so much Nella and Evan!! So I've taken my BLS through a different program with my employer and only needed the First Aid. I was given the opportunity to just stay for the CPR Class and I'm so glad I did! After taking this class, I feel comfortable and confident administering first aide and CPR should the situation arise. This class is very fun and engaging. The instructors are either police or firefighters. This is the 4th time renewing my CPR license, and this class was hands down the best. Evan was an excellent instructor who kept the class entertained with relevant experiences for the skills. My 10 year old sister surprisingly wanted to go and they kept her engaged the whole time. It's a wonderful experience and I used the information/skills I learned two years ago in this very same class in a CPR situation during my clinicals at a hospital. Best CPR class EVER!!! I had to complete a CPR class in order to get my teaching credential. Found a Groupon for this place so I decided to try it out. I thought it would be some boring, watch a video, take notes type of class but it was the total opposite. We were hands-on the minute we arrived. I attended the class on a Tuesday evening at 5pm and Evan was our instructor. Evan was great. Told us that the business is a family business and that he, his brother and his sister are the instructors. There were only about 8 students so the class only took about 1 1/2 hrs to complete. After attending this class, I feel that I am 100% ready to administer CPR/AED if necessary. I would highly recommend this class to anyone needing CPR certification. read more

Serious? Another 2.5 hours of class after an eight hour work schedule? Spare me, now! Actually, the time passed by relatively quickly. The instructor, also a police officer, is professional and had a tone that kept you awake, alert, and entertained. I appreciated the efficiency in checking in, receiving the instruction, taking the test, and getting the certification. The instructor is so considerate because he provided us with cushioned mats while we were kneeling and practicing giving CPR. I would not have minded the floor because the place is immaculate. Quick and painless BLS renewal. I found them via referral from my brother and he had found them on groupon. I was able to call and get into a class for the next day and paid only $35. They might be hard to find if you're not sure what you're looking for. Their store just says CPR in red above the door. Parking was easy in their lot. I loved the USC mat upon walking in (fight on) and loved the quick service and relaxed environment. Being three days before Christmas and an evening class, it was only another student and I. Instructor had an odd sense of humor and came off a little rude at a few points during the session. Buuut we were out of there in an hour and a half with our CPR cards in hand.
