THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH !!! I passed my NCLEX exam the first time ! ** And Mrs. Michelle and Mrs. Brenda in the front were always so polite and professional! Also, Yvonne (Career Services) is so consistent and will make sure to help you secure employment ! I attended in 2022. DON'T DO IT. Go to community college instead and get your Associates or heck,…read morego to Chaffey College where they offer the dental assisting program at a much lower cost than they do here. They prey on young adults who don't know what they want to do or what career to go into. They sell you this perfect image of "obtaining a good job after only 9 months of dental assisting/ medical assisting." They don't really explain how much debt you're going to be in. I'm almost 10k in student debt from this place and I truly wish I would've never attended. I'm no longer in the dental assisting field since the jobs sucked and you're overworked and underpaid by pretty much every doctor. I'm back in school, this time in community college and it's been a hell of a lot cheaper AND im actually learning. They charge so much at this school and their equipment is really run down and old. To any young adults lost on what to do or what career to pursue: Don't come here, go to community college and complete your General Requirements. All these trade schools (UEI, NORTH WEST, AMERICAN CAREER) all prey on people who don't know what they're truly getting themselves into.

Luke and his team are incredibly professional instructors who are truly dedicated to bringing out the best in each student. Ladies, if you're feeling a bit intimidated or worried that you'll be treated differently, don't be. The only thing you really need to survive AFA is a sense of humor (that goes for the guys too) I remember sitting in college, debating whether it was the right path for me or if I should take the leap and pursue a trade. I'm beyond glad I did. I have absolutely no regrets about attending AFA. Ralph, Ronnie, Doc, and Kyle not only taught me during my time there, but they continue to teach and support me even after graduation. Whether I need extra practice or advice, before an interview or for a weld test their doors are always open. Luke, Robert, Marcio, and Gus have also been incredibly supportive and instrumental in helping me grow in my welding career. Never in a million years did I think I'd find myself in aerospace, but here I am and I couldn't have done it without the amazing team at AFA. And of course, shoutout to the wonderful ladies in the office, they are always a delight to talk to and often the highlight of my day. Whatever I needed, they were there to help. P.S. Sorry it took me so long to leave a review... I've been busy working at the jobs you guys helped me get!

From day one, the American Fabrication Academy taught me the foundational skills I needed to enter this trade and gave me lifelong mentors I now consider family. Before attending AFA, my only work experience was babysitting. After graduating in March, it took a little time, but by May I had job offers from SpaceX and Anduril Industries at just 19 years old. I'm beyond grateful for how much this school helped me during and even after the program. If you're looking for a trade school that truly cares about your future not just your tuition this is the place. The staff here go above and beyond to set you up for success, and that support doesn't end when you graduate. I want to give a special thank you to all the instructors who were a part of my journey: Luke, Marcio, Kyle, Ronnie, Doc, and David, Robert, as well as Gus, the recruiter, and Silvia at the front desk. Each of them played a role in my growth. They're not only incredibly knowledgeable, but they also know how to keep things fun always joking around, but dead serious when it comes to teaching you the craft and work ethic this industry demands. In my opinion, AFA is the top trade school in California. To this day, I'm still learning from the advice and lessons they gave me things I never got from traditional high school or anyone for that matter. Forever grateful for the family I made at AFA. Thank you for everything. -Christine class #39
