I have mixed feelings about my experience at U.S. Colleges in Montclair. First, I want to give a huge thank you to my instructor, Mrs. Alex. She was truly the best part of this program. She genuinely cared about her students and made sure we understood the material instead of just memorizing it. She was always patient, encouraging, and willing to answer every question we had. She created a classroom environment where we felt comfortable learning, and you could tell she wanted every one of us to succeed. Because of her, I felt confident in the skills I learned throughout the program. I honestly can't thank her enough for everything she did for us. At the beginning of the program, everything was running smoothly. There was a front office employee named Dale who was incredibly helpful, especially when it came to financial aid and answering questions. She was always available, knowledgeable, and made the process much less stressful. Unfortunately, after Dale left, things became very disorganized. Communication became difficult, especially as we got closer to completing the program and preparing for externships. Many of us reached out with questions, but it often took a long time to receive a response, or we didn't receive one at all. The biggest issue has been the externship placement process. It's now been a few weeks since I completed my classes, and I still have not been placed at an externship site. Several of my classmates are experiencing the same issue. We've been trying to contact the school for updates, but communication has been inconsistent. This has become stressful because many of us have jobs, family responsibilities, or are returning to college soon and need to complete our required externship hours. Overall, I think the quality of the education depends heavily on the instructor. Mrs. Alex deserves five stars for everything she did for our class. However, the administration and organization of the externship process have been disappointing. I hope the school improves its communication and placement process because students deserve better support after working so hard to complete the program. read more

The teacher that I had was excellent but she was the third one that I had so I didn't get to have her the whole time I was there. The career services is a joke. They will not help you find a job. All they do is look up jobs on Indeed and recommend jobs that you're totally not qualified for. The career services person definitely prioritized certain students above others. I would email her and never get a response back but my classmate would always be in communication with her which was unfair because I worked hard to pass the class. All in all, don't come here unless you already have a connection in healthcare because you're just wasting time and money on a school that expects you to do everything on your own. read more

My daughter is in the phlebotomy program. They're only nice in the beginning when you first are about to pay the initial fee. Thereafter all they do is give you script responses and the run around when it's time for EXTERNSHIP. Students attend and pay their hard earned money in hopes of improving their lives, yet this school doesn't care. They basically SCAM the poor young people or Students. I'm going to report them the the Labor Board if applicable, but ill definitely report them to the BBC immediately on behalf of both former and current students. read more

I'm a former student who attended their Phlebotomy Course (CPT1) back in 2010. I paid $3500. During the program we had classroom time and on the 3rd week we had lab in which we drew blood from each other. I was a great student, passed my exam and went to my externship at LapCorp, the externship was only 2 days and it was more of a shadow (didn't draw blood). At the end of the day, I couldn't land a job because clinics that were hiring were looking for candidates that had experience. They had a job recruiter, but really was of no help. My license is now inactive since I had such a hard time getting hired due to lack of experience and I will never see my $3500 again. Hopefully they have improved on helping the students place jobs- especially since it costs so much. read more

If you're looking for an EMT program ( a good one) I'd highly recommend this campus especially with the AM instructor Josh. He was really helpful and genuinely a good teacher. I absolutely love this program. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Especially Dale ! She helped me with whatever questions i had. I had Mr. Keanu as an instructor and he is great, he was clear on information and made sure we all understood while still keeping a fun environment. I would absolutely recommend people to join the program if they were planning to become an Emt. I do wish that they have better equipment to work while doing hands on , the equipment provided while i was there was good but i know they can do a little better. If I could give zero stars I would. The only good thing about this place was the instructor. Everything else, horrible. Not worth it. Prepare to spend a lot on your monthly payments that start when you're still in school. They told me I had to leave my job to dedicate finishing, so I did, and when I couldn't get a job fast enough to pay them back, corporate office WILL make you feel lower than dirt. If I can give this school more stars I would this school needs a 10 star! Okay so let's start from the very beginning... back in may I took an interest in one program the school has which is phlebotomy. I called the school and spoke with Vanessa whom was very friendly and invited me to take a tour of the school. So of course i went and took a tour and like that they had a lab right there in the school. Vanessa went over financing with me and who would've thought I signed up for a class for June (my choice) so I can save money and put a larger deposit down. I choose to take the phlebotomy course in the am since that is what worked best with my schedule and I'm sure glad I did my teacher was and still is phenomenal. She really took the time with us students to teach us, she was very patient and figured out different ways for the education to stick in our brains. Any questions we had that we just weren't understanding she would explain it in different ways as much as possible for you to understand. Because of her amazing teaching skills and all the studying I did I finished school with an A+. They have an open lab on certain days that you can go get your practice on which is really neat, that away you don't loose your skills. I had my extern scheduled out till September and had asked if they had anyone drop out of there spot I would love to take it and it just so happened that way! I got moved to the beginning of august I was so thrilled. A week after I took my nationals and passed of course! After nationals they sent out for my licensing and I got it in the mail within 2 weeks I couldn't believe it was that fast! Then came the fun part job searching the career specialist at this school is amazing! She really went out of her way to help send me links for job openings all I had to do was apply and send my resume! Well and guess what ? I now have a job as a licensed phlebotomist! I took the EMT course with Dennis. This is a very fast paced course but it's very informative. I highly recommend this school especially with the really nice staff. They were able to admit me last minute. Vanessa and Dale were really nice. They also have payment options if you're not able to pay in full. Dennis prepares you very well for your ridealongs with all the equipment that they have at the school. We did something called psych day which is a really fun activity that shows you how to work with unstable patients. 10/10 highly recommend. :) read more

This school is great, I looked around for a long time and visited a few campuses. I am glad I settled on this one. Pros: very nice campus, neat, and clean. Air conditioned when it's hot or heated when it's too cold. I loved my teacher Ms. Holden, I can see the difference in teachers when the other campuses come to Visit us for laboratory day. Great location right off the 10 freeway Small class sizes - the classroom will only fit 10-12 students max and I like this cause we get so much more individual attention. Free uniforms! Most schools charge extra for this. Cons: The lab can get a little crowded sometimes if it's more than 10 people in there. Lastly: The school is really good about giving you extra practice and tutoring for free once you are done with the course, you are welcome to come to their lab practice and tutoring days they have twice a week. I Attended this school for phlebotomy and absolutely LOVED it! the staff at US colleges Montclair were always so kind and helpful with any questions or concerns i had, and my teacher Ms.Brenda was so amazing! she made me fall in love with phlebotomy, she taught me everything i needed to know and gave me the confidence that i was ready and prepared to take my NHA and go to my externship no problem. Instructor Ms. Karyn is wonderful. The administration staff however is relatively useless. Never fall behind on a payment ... They will allow u to make a partial payment as a hardship but not notify you that they are still keeping education services suspended and any testing included in your tuition will then need to be paid out of pocket. Dale doesn't know shit about anything and the collections department is rude and they will talk to you with run around collections verbage while talking down to you. read more

I had requested my transcript for my California license and then i could start my amazing dream jab i was already offered waited a month heard nothing. No updates. I had a deadline that a made VERY clear to Dale & Cheryl. But still no calls or emails back after numerous messages. These papers where the only things i needed to get my California license. Turns out they were giving me the run around till my license was concerned "abandoned" and i had to give my position up at the hospital. I am still currently waiting for them to "find" my paper work. I had Mario (he wouldn't give his last name) one of the people in the corporate, threaten and disrespect me because of a missed payment that I wasn't even informed about until today. I told him to give me a sec to find the card and that's when the disrespect, threats started and he said he would have me dropped if I didn't get the card to him within 5 min. And when I said "well sir I'll call back later when I find it" He started throwing a tantrum saying it's days late and talked over me and called me a liar when I was trying to explain that my payment method should already be on file!!! As if I have anything to lie about as a grown ass adult. A man child should not be working in a professional customer service field. I don't know why he called me instead of Dale when I have no idea who the hell he is and Dale usually handles finances. Imagine a random rude man calling from a random # demanding payment and social, like be for real and work on people skills bc you can't talk to grown ass adults crazy and expect respect. The calls are all recorded so I hope they play it back when I email corporate even tho they're probably all unprofessional up there and wouldn't care lol. I find it crazy that they have people like this working there and think business will be booming at that rundown school. When i started at US Colleges, the school is great. The admissions person Vanessa is really nice, the finance lady Dale is super sweet and my instructor Ms. Carol was the best. I genuinely enjoyed the classroom aspect. I did the phlebotomy course and they definitely help you with getting your license through the state. After i got my license, the career center was a little more difficult to work with. I sent in my resume to about 3 different people and no one really helped me fix it or took a close look at it. Truth is, finding a job is really on you and from my experience they were little to no help. I will give them credit as they did send job leads every so often but that is just about it. There was one lady named Juanita at one point and she did help me out with going over possible interview questions and potential employers. I don't know if she left the company but i only heard from her for about 2 weeks and then radio silence. She was awesome. read more

I had a GREAT experience with the instructor. She would go above and beyond for us but after the whole class was over it went down hill... Postponed tutoring classes and wouldn't let me know that I can go to another US site. I literally waited 2 months for my tutoring. First was on the 4th of Jan. That day I went and they had changed the date to late January. I called late January and said that it was canceled til mid February. I called mid Feb and the same thing happened. That's when they said I could go to another site and do tutoring there. I went to the US college in Riverside and said that tutoring will start at 4pm I waited 40 mins. 4:40 pm and the instructor was just getting there and all she did was just give me a packet and said to study that and I should do good. Like, WTF I emailed Keith probably like 3 times and I never got a response from him. Idk of they even answer emails. I also called today to be seen by him so I wouldn't have to wait and we set a time of 2. I get there at 2 and I am waiting and waiting 2:30 I leave. For that same reason I had called so I wouldn't have this problem since I depended on this for something. But I would probably think twice before coming. This is my opinion. Well then The first day of class starts, wait lets go back into orientation when I meet everyone ! Here comes "payment girl" who you may here other teachers talking about and laughing at ; how she wanted to be the phlebotomist teacher and couldn't. She tells you were here to help if you can't make a payment just let me know don't worry we'll fix it. I know how hard times are I was homeless for two years ! The teachers are great the career services not at all they never get back to you even though they say they will they don't really help with job finding even though that's their job. I know they don't give you a job obviously but a little help would be nice I left so many messages sent so many emails actually went in to talk to them and they just don't help. Ms Vicky helped more with knowing about job openings then career services did. She's the teacher there she's great. They never ever have followed up with me I had to keep emailing and calling till I finally just gave up. I had went back after two years to get some help because I lost my job and they put old students on the back burner even though when I had graduated they didn't help either. They literally told me well we focus on our recent graduates so if you decide to go back for help don't even waste time they won't get back to you like what's the point of spending money here if you can't go back for career services like they promised ? And not only that it's in the contract to help with job placement and resume building and they just don't help even when I graduated I didn't get help from this school! They change the person in charge of career services like every 2 months no one is ever stable there ! Oh and to top it off when I graduated finished my test and everything to send out my license I wanted three months comes to find out they lost my paper work till someone else found it so she sent it out and I had to wait another 3 months ! read more
