It's a hibachi place--they serve rice, noodles, protein, and veggies. I placed my Grubhub delivery order at 7:59 p.m., and at this point, I've gone through four delivery couriers because my food still hasn't been made. I called the store at 9:04 p.m. after my Grubhub courier told me that staff had said it would be 20-25 minutes at 8:45 p.m. When I spoke with them at 9:04 p.m., they told me it would take ANOTHER 20-25 minutes. This is actually insane. I saw this place on TikTok and, since I'm traveling for work in Chicago, I figured it would be a good spot to try. Unfortunately, I'm extremely disappointed in the service. Please staff your facility accordingly--customers should not be waiting an hour and a half for food. I will be disputing this purchase. I'm glad I ordered delivery through Grubhub and didn't walk all the way there just to wait at the storefront for over an hour and a half. Nothing short of amazing here! The food is incredibly flavorful with such generous portions. We tried the shrimp and steak bowl with rice and another with noodles. Protein was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Shrimp tempura roll was one of my favorites I've had, such a great combination of textures and flavors. We also tried the bucket of wings which were real crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the sauce was a great combination of sweet and savory. Most people take the food to go but we ate here, plenty of seating if you choose to do so, with a unique marvel theme. Staff here were incredibly kind and generous! Saw this place recently opened up and have been craving hibachi so I figured I would give it a try. Great service from the cashier even with them being predominantly take out. I went with udon over rice just due to how much rice I eat. The noodles were al dente and lathered in garlic butter. My only suggestion would be to use less butter as my lips felt greasy for the rest of the night. The chicken was a little bland but not a problem when mixed with everything else. Unfortunately I waited 45 minutes for 2 items, one of them being the mango sticky rice which I was really disappointed in. I managed my expectations when the cashier told me it would be a 25 min wait and was originally fine with. However, the additional delay was due to the mango sticky rice which was not what I was expecting - the rice seems to be regular jasmine rice (not sticky rice), the sauce seems to be simple syrup drenched over the rice (not coconut milk), and it was sprinkled with pepper? Their grill areas are extremely small. If there is any volume in orders you will wait a long time. Their POS systems doesn't prioritize orders for those who order in the store. I would have waited longer if I didn't ask for 3rd time where my order is. The girl working never followed up with the cooks on my behalf. She just let everyone wait. Didn't seem to care about customer experience. She was nice, but no awareness. There were multiple people waiting 30 plus mins for food while the chefs gave newly cooked to delivery drivers. They were out of a lot menu items and all drinks. They didn't have any sauces. Seems like poorly managed biz. Unfortunate because the food was decent.
