Fraud warning: If your home warranty company sends out Froggy Fix and they send their "business…read morepartner" Weston Woolsey with "Drypoint Restoration" they may try to talk you into filing a "Home INSURANCE" claim and tell you that the "Home WARRANTY Company won't cover the repair." That's exactly what happened to me. Homeguard home warranty sent Froggy Fix out for a warranty repair. Instead they sent Weston with Drypoint. He inspected my leak and immediately told me that the home warranty company would not cover the leak and that I would need to file a home insurance claim. He then tried to sell me on signing a contract with him. I felt something was off and told him I'd need to think about it. Upon reading the contract, it was very aggressive and one sided. He was really pushing me to sign the contract, file the home insurance claim, and let his team "demo" my entire bathroom the next day before my claim was even approved. This was bizarre to me. Why would I agree to this BEFORE my home insurance company approved the claim? And why would I need to file a home insurance claim and pay a $5k deductible for what looked like a small leak? I ended up calling my home warranty company back and they sent out another plumbing company who fixed the leak. Total cost was $90 for the home warranty service call and some drywall damage I fixed myself. I later had a conversation with my home insurance company (to cancel the bogus claim) and they told me that some predators like to "take advantage" of naive homeowners by telling them a plumbing issue is much worse then it really is. They then force you into an aggressive contract and "demo" the entire effected area before your home insurance company can inspect. Then when your home insurance company does come out, they are kind of "stuck" approving your inflated claim because all they see is a fully demolished room. The end result is your insurance premiums go way up, you are forced to pay the deductible (in my case $5k), and you've already signed over your insurance benefit to Weston and Dry point who can then charge basically whatever they want for your repair. But beware Weston, Drypoint, and FroggyFix. I had an extended conversation with my home insurance company after this incident and they are well aware of this shady tactic and familiar with all of you by name. Karma (or the law) will catch up to you.

Got us out of a hot mess of a situation quick. Owner came…read morebefore his guys could even get there. Very happy.
