Fire and Ice is the best restaurant on Jackson Lake and it isn't a question. The food is good but a bit pricey. The staff is really nice and friendly. The atmosphere is nice and has a nice view of Jackson Lake. But the best part is that they have their own ice cream place inside. They have lots of flavors and yours is probably in the bunch. Sadly, this perfect location no longer is up to par with similar cuisine served at nearby restaurants. The only thing they have going is the view. Service: They no longer have servers and you are forced to order at a window and then sit down. Sometimes they will check in on you but ordering from a window at a sit-down restaurant is equivalent to going to a food truck park. Food: The food is even MORE expensive than ever before (e.g. a house salad is just over $10 for mixed greens with no protein). They finally have wings again and they were cooked well but still pricey for a order at window establishment. Ambiance: As stated, the view is nice over looking the water and entertaining to watch credit card captains put in their watercraft. The TV's were actually on this time, they had sports on. You can literally go sit where ever, which influences some people to take up a whole 6 top for only 2 customers. Parking: Ample amount of parking, no concerns there at all. This is one of two restaurants on the water at Jackson Lake and both establishments seem to be capitalizing on the location, setting service and food quality/price to the side. We went to see some horse competitions and stopped here on our way home for lunch. Oh my goodness it was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. Seating is on the patio overlooking the Lake and it was a beautiful view. read more

We use love this place when we lived in the lake, but the last two visits were not good. Order tenders only to be told they ran out of tenders, asked for chicken wings only to be told they ran out of chicken wings. Server came with drinks, then food and never saw her again for refills or to ask if everything was okay. This looks place has gone downhill. read more

My daughter and I enjoyed our meal. The view of the river is beautiful It's community style seating with a few smaller tables for a more intimate dining experience. The wait staff and cook were so sweet. We ordered a lot of food so that we could try it out, since it was our first time. We even had a great conversation with strangers at the table in back of us. We just moved to the area and were looking for a place to eat with our friends and all our kids. We ended up going to Fire and Ice and it was the best decision! WOW! Now I make a mean buffalo chicken dip, but theirs had us gobbling up our app with a quickness( pita chips great idea). I had the brisket and it melted in my mouth it was that tender. No lie! Snagged a bit of my husband's buffalo mac n' cheese and it was really good as well. We ate and enjoyed the view of the lake and watching the boats. Huge fans kept it cool and comfy despite the heat of the afternoon. Oh and they have an ice cream shop attached and of course the kids wanted a scoop. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. After being on Lake Jackson, for most of the day, it was nice to find a place to get a cold drink and something to eat. fairly weird layout. The location is set up with a back patio that overlooks. The gas docks in the front portion on the left. Looks like you're walking into the kitchen and on the right a nonexistent supply store. now the ambience on the back patio was nonexistent because none of the TVs were on and there was no radio playing always one of my biggest pet peeves when TVs are hanging and not on. Overall food was very good. The staff was very attentive. Did not get around to try and the pizza, but it looked very good. if you were in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for an appetizer and a cold drink. read more

I've tried this place before they revamped their menu and served pizza. I walked away totally unimpressed then. Since then they have rebooted their menu focusing on BBQ and "Smash burgers". To start off the first thing I noticed is the tables weren't all wiped down. The next thing I noticed is WOW these appetizers are expensive. I would have loved to order some apps but they were as expensive as an entree. I was in the mood for a burger so I ordered a burger with pimento cheese and bacon my wife orders the Mac and cheese topped with pulled pork. I was in disbelief when my burger comes out and even though it was advertised as a smash burger the patty looked like it was a small frozen patty. The bun was a cheap generic bun the store brand kind that you get a pack for $1. My burger was also missing the pimento cheese. I say all this because they do no serve cheap burgers your paying $16 for a small single patty with cheap bun. I feel like if you're paying premium price for a burger it should be premium product. This was no better than something you could get at Huddle House. My wife's Mac and cheese was also quite small but has a good taste even though the pork was kind of bland. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with a great view of the lake and the servers all were incredibly nice it's just a shame that they're squandering their potential. Management needs to be delivering a better product. read more

We have been wanting to try this place for months and finally made it out there. Service was pretty good and the food was fantastic. We were not disappointed. We ordered two personal pizzas, the cheese bread, the wings, and the cinnamon ice cream..Everything was delicious. The view was pretty good too, we were right off the lake. Arrived at Fire and Ice and we were given Table 82 place looked nice and overlooking the water! We looked at our menus and that's all we did 15 minutes passed by and no server came to us at all! Very bad service We left and I guess no one noticed! There was only 3 tables being used and we were the fourth one with only 2 to 4 people on them! There was a lot of servers inside just talking! Put a star because I had to so I can put the review! We live in the area and wanted to support our local businesses but in this case I guess they don't need our money!! Will never go back read more

Really enjoyed Fire and Ice today. It was a wonderful day out and the patio seating was perfect. Great view of the lake and boat ramp. We had the pizza, cheese bread, meatball sandwich and Buffalo blue sandwich. The flavor on all the food was pretty good. There was quite a long wait(20 mins) to order our food and get seated. It also took a long time to get our food. I believe I overheard a waitress mentioning that that were understaffed today and that could explain it. Cheese bread, pizza and fries were hot but both our sandwiches were just barely warm. We also had ice cream for dessert and it was really good. Overall a pretty good experience. We will definitely return, hopefully they will have proper staffing this time. read more
