Cheese pizza

We went to see some horse competitions and stopped here on our way home for lunch. Oh my goodness it was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. Seating is on the patio overlooking the Lake and it was a beautiful view.

My daughter and I enjoyed our meal. The view of the river is beautiful It's community style seating with a few smaller tables for a more intimate dining experience. The wait staff and cook were so sweet. We ordered a lot of food so that we could try it out, since it was our first time. We even had a great conversation with strangers at the table in back of us. Loved the atmosphere. It would be a cool relaxed date spot.

After being on Lake Jackson, for most of the day, it was nice to find a place to get a cold drink and something to eat. fairly weird layout. The location is set up with a back patio that overlooks. The gas docks in the front portion on the left. Looks like you're walking into the kitchen and on the right a nonexistent supply store. now the ambience on the back patio was nonexistent because none of the TVs were on and there was no radio playing always one of my biggest pet peeves when TVs are hanging and not on. Overall food was very good. The staff was very attentive. Did not get around to try and the pizza, but it looked very good. if you were in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for an appetizer and a cold drink.

We have been wanting to try this place for months and finally made it out there. Service was pretty good and the food was fantastic. We were not disappointed. We ordered two personal pizzas, the cheese bread, the wings, and the cinnamon ice cream..Everything was delicious. The view was pretty good too, we were right off the lake. We will be back.

The menu has nice food on it, but is a lot of money, and the dessert is really good. Also the pizza is really good.

The food is good, but it's a lot of money. The service alsois good. Also the place looks nice, calm, and cute.

Really enjoyed Fire and Ice today. It was a wonderful day out and the patio seating was perfect. Great view of the lake and boat ramp. We had the pizza, cheese bread, meatball sandwich and Buffalo blue sandwich. The flavor on all the food was pretty good. There was quite a long wait(20 mins) to order our food and get seated. It also took a long time to get our food. I believe I overheard a waitress mentioning that that were understaffed today and that could explain it. Cheese bread, pizza and fries were hot but both our sandwiches were just barely warm. We also had ice cream for dessert and it was really good. Overall a pretty good experience. We will definitely return, hopefully they will have proper staffing this time.

Servers were rude and the portions were cold and small. I wouldn't return even if they paid for the meal.

Good food for reasonable price. Not really a large place but it does the job. The location is right on the lake so you can't beat that.

Butter & Cream

Love this little ice cream shop!…read more I've visited Butter & Cream before, but my latest visit was a favorite. After spending a sunny afternoon celebrating my besties birthday with her and a few of our girlfriends, we decided to keep the fun going with some ice cream. Never too old for a random sweet treat! Although we were already in the neighborhood, we lucked up on a day when everybody and their mama were outside, which meant limited parking. So we had to pay for parking on this visit, but ended up making it worthwhile by strolling around Decatur Square with our cones. I When we entered, there was one employee behind the counter and they were so kind. There were a few customers in front of us and some behind us in line, so apparently we weren't the only adults in the city who were craving a sweet treat. The store was so cute and covered in art and clocks created with ice cream scoops. We decided to taste a few flavors that were new to us and the employee was so patient with us. We all decided to go with the honeycomb flavor, and I added on a scoop of strawberry because I believe in treating myself. I was bummed that they didn't have sugar cones, but a waffle cone worked. My ice cream was SO good! And they were quite generous with the scoops. As I'm writing this out, I'm wanting a fresh pint of my own again. Such a great stop when you're craving something sweet!

I ordered the Cookie Monster with toffee cone bits on top. The texture of the ice cream was great, very smooth and creamy, which is exactly what you want. However, the flavor itself just did not come through. It almost tasted like a base without much depth. The only moments of real flavor were when I bit into the cookie pieces or the toffee bits, which were both enjoyable, but the ice cream on its own felt like it was missing something. It is a bit hard to describe because the consistency was there, but the taste simply did not match. That said, I am not writing Butter & Cream off at all. I have had other flavors here that were absolutely delicious, which is why I am willing to give this one another try. Overall, still one of my preferred ice cream spots in Decatur. I am just hoping for a little more flavor the next time I order the Cookie Monster.

Needless to say, when she told me a new place in town had opened up, we had to stop by. Cone Crazy on Main has a classic ice cream parlor feel to it. I found it clean and comfortable, conveniently located, with parking on the side or in back, with air conditioning inside, to help keep your cone intact. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic, giving each customer full attention. Adding to that classic feel I mentioned, the girl behind the counter was one of my daughter's classmates. There were plenty of hand spun flavors to choose from, that I understand change from time to time, adding to the variety. During my visit, it was noted that a sugar free flavor was available, which I found impressive. I however like sugar, so I chose a more standard variety, the mint chocolate chip, in a waffle cone. The waffle cones come in three varieties that I observed: plain, rimmed with chocolate, and rimmed with chocolate and sprinkles a.k.a. shots or Jimmies, depending on where you're from. For my taste, I chose plain. They also had coffee; so, if it's cold and rainy when you pass through town, you still have a reason to stop by. My selection was creamy, sweet and literally dripping with flavor. As I pointed out, the inside of the shop was air conditioned; but me being me, I seemingly preferred to make a mess by eating outside. Of course, my daughter was able to avoid this, telling you that it was me, not the ice cream, that was messy. What I was most impressed with, however, was the chunk of chocolate I got with each bite. There was no skimping there. In conclusion, if your traveling south toward Macon, there's no reason to keep going to satisfy your sweet tooth. If headed north from Macon, keep driving until you reach city hall, then stop in at Cone Crazy. You'll be glad you did

It's going for the basic ice cream shop vibe, but it nails it and runs home with it. Plus magazines. FRIO Rolled Ice Cream - A Sweet Experience Worth the Wait!…read more FRIO Rolled Ice Cream has been on our radar for a while, and we finally made it in--better late than never, right? The rolled ice cream concept was fairly new to us, but watching it being made fresh on the spot was half the fun! The menu offers a great selection of preset flavors, but the option to create your own masterpiece was too tempting to pass up--so, of course, we did both. No regrets! Each bite was creamy, flavorful, and well worth the $10 per person price tag. It's a bit on the higher side for ice cream, but considering the quality and the live-action preparation, we totally get it. The shop has a cozy vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating, making it easy to dig in as soon as your rolls are ready. The staff was friendly and took great care in crafting each order, which we really appreciated. Would we recommend FRIO? Absolutely. Would we return? Without a doubt! If you haven't checked it out yet, don't make the same mistake we did--go treat yourself!

The shop has some seating available on the sidewalk on the side and a decent sized dining area. You will also find bar seating looking out of the window and rocking chairs out front. They have chocolates, bulk jelly beans, and packaged candy for sell. They also have a wide assortment of ice cream to choose from. You can get coffee, sundaes, banana splits, scoops, cones, shakes, and malts. I asked what was the difference between a shake and a malt and was told by the staff that a malt tasted like a Whooper or a thick milkshake. I assumed they were referring to the Whooper candy and not the burger. The shop was relatively clean and the staff was friendly. I got Cookie Monster ice cream for the littles and a Key Lime shake for me. To be honest, the shake was not very good and pretty bland. I was not a fan. By the blue color all over their face, the littles seemed to like their scoop of Cookie Monster though. My experience here was decent. I wish I would have liked my ice cream treat though. A 3.5 star rating would be more accurate, but since that is not an option, I guess it is closer to a 4 than a 3.
