Overcooked delmanico
I G.

We were seated promptly, and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, operating at about 70% capacity. However, our waitress could have been more attentive, as our service was slow. I ordered the Delmonico steak cooked medium-well, but unfortunately, it arrived well-done and was overcooked. It would have been helpful if the waitress had checked in to see how the steak was prepared. I didn't even get a chance to have it remade. I ate a few parts that had more fat since that wasn't dry and overcooked. After dinner, we were eager to look at the dessert menu, but after waiting a while, our kids decided to venture next door for ice cream at the coffee shop. It seemed the waitress may have been busy with other tables. Ultimately, we opted to pay the bill and leave. On a positive note, the drinks were fantastic, and the restaurant is very family-friendly, offering various kid-friendly options even for entrées. Overall, this could be a delightful dining experience with more attentive service.

I came in with a big group, left traumatized. I ordered the lox & bagel, first of all it came out with onions and i'm allergic to them. I made it known i was. The salmon smelt so bad i had to have him take it away. It was grey in color and my waiter was nice and all but did nothing about it. He just told me that's how it's supposed to look. I'm a waitress and salmon does not look or smell like that.

Loved eating dinner here tonight! Arrived thirty minutes before close, fully prepared to be turned away, but the host greeted me warmly and sat me immediately. My waitress was very attentive and offered plenty of suggestions. I enjoyed the peanut butter chocolate martini, baked brie with sourdough, the lamb chops, and the s'mores fondue. Definitely more than I had an appetite for but everything on the menu sounded great so I had to try it! Will have to come back with friends to try more of the shareables.

Nothing special over priced for what you get. The charcuterie board was a major disappointment $21 and looks like the kitchen just dumped everything on the board. Lollipop lamb chops had way to much pepper. Beef short rib was ok the polenta was the star of the show. The food had potential but missed the mark. Will not be back.

Any time I'm in Hershey from out of town I have to come here for their happy hour 4-6 ANY day of the week, even Saturdays. They have $7 martinis and half off apps. I love the martinis because they are classic Hershey flavors and they put a mini hershey kiss or Reese's at the bottom of the glass. Not to mention these martinis will get you buzzed very quickly. The staff behind the bar is always super nice and overall it's a chill atmosphere.

It wasn't quite what I thought after reading the website. Open floor plan much like a diner is set up but with longer tables accommodating bigger parties. Our server, Mandy, was perfect. The food delicious. The portions were perfect. Not to big or to small. The menu has a variety of small plate and entree options along with dessert. It's upscale food with great flavor. If I wasn't trying to cut back carbs, I could LIVE on their bread! I had the porcini tortonelli, hubs had the crab flatbread, and my friends had short ribs and seafood pappardelle. I had salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. The restaurant is directly inside The Lodge. It's handicap accessible. Have fun! Can't wait to read your review!

So I have never come to dinner here...but their HAPPY HOUR is amazing. The drinks range from 7-11 dollars depending on the drink. The bar is very inviting and comforting to sit at. The bartenders are very attentive and make great drinks. The food was also VERY yummy! My favorite was the Fig and Prosciutto flat bread.

We came here for a conference at the Hershey Lodge and ended up grabbing some dinner at Fire and Grain. We got a table in about 15 minutes, but opted out to eat at the bar and watch an NFL game. The service was really good. The bartender/server was attentive and friendly and split our checks with no problem. We got some flatbreads. They were awesome. My buddy got a buffalo chicken and I got the Crab. We also had buffalo chicken meatballs.

Located in the Hershey Lodge, it would be a convenient spot for guests staying there but I was not a hotel guest and just stopped in for happy hour. The man at valet was so friendly and instructed us where to park. Happy hour starts at the bar at 4pm but since it was full we had to wait until 4:30 to be seated at a regular table which I thought was a bit strange that the bar opened before the restaurant. We waited comfortably in the lobby until we could be seated. Service was good but I felt the food fell a bit short. We had the meatballs, buffalo chicken flat bread, prosciutto & fig flat bread, and baked goat cheese. All were just alright, nothing spectacular. I did really enjoy the blueberry lavender mojito on the happy hour menu! I tried the Reese's martini because why not when you're in Hershey! It did taste like a Reese's but it just wasn't my taste in a cocktail. A decent stop for happy hour if you're staying at the hotel but I wouldn't go out of my way to get there

Came here with a large group last weekend for dinner. Drinks were great and our server was very friendly. Food was good but a bit expensive for what you got. My husbands pasta with bolognese was over $30 which seems a bit too pricey. However it is in a convenient spot especially if you are staying at the hotel.

Blueberry lavender mojio

Here for a work conference. I can't review the food, but the happy hour is amazing great wine for a good price and a very yummy blueberry lavender mojito.

Don't ever pay full price here, better yet, make a better option elsewhere unless you have to come here. The food is woefully average and even at happy hour pricing I was disappointed. Drinks were tasty but weak at $7 cocktails and ~$5 beers. Apps were disappointing. The meatballs were 3 for $6 and the hummus was standard with pita chips and Brussels. I can't imagine paying double that price for the quantity and quality served... Also- some shenanigans happened with the host/seater and wait times. The restaurant was pretty empty during happy hour and we wanted to get a table, ready at 4:30. We check the bar and come back within a few min and the table is now ready at 4:45!? Mind you, restaurant still empty and nobody had made additional reservations. Their text checkin system doesn't tell you when a table is ready, so you might as well just hang out around the host because it's essentially their mood that determines when you'll be seated. We checked well before our 4:45 time and were seated, but was never notified at all that it was ready. Highly unprofessional host service. Though our server was great and friendly. Just go to a different happy hour / restaurant on Chocolate Ave.

They told me they couldn't between 5 and 6 because they were slammed. Listening to this advice we went at 4. The menu looks interesting but it all just comes out okay. We got a bunch of small plates for the table to share. I enjoyed the Kobe hot dog and duck confit sliders. I would definitely not recommend the pork belly tacos.

That said, execution fell pretty short and the dishes felt pretty underwhelming as a whole. Black Gryphon offers an elevated bar/pub environment with cool concepts for appetizers and entrees. I thought the kobe dog and ants climbing a tree apps were tasty, but unfortunately felt pretty underwhelmed by the wings, duck confit open-faced burgers, and the pork belly tacos. The flavors kind of landed 2-dimensional. Our server was very nice and accommodating, but it was also weird because there was only one server that I saw for the entire restaurant, so I don't know if the experience would've been different if they were busy that day (there were maybe 2 tables total that we were there). All in all, it's an okay spot. Lots of cool ideas that have a lot of potential, but didn't quite hit the mark for me.

An added bonus is two of the wines that were available were made in-house; the Concord Jungle and Mizz Education. We enjoyed the Mizz Education which is a sweet and refreshing Moscato so much we ended up taking two bottles home with us. Let me just say this, I've been to my fair share of restaurants for brunch and the food at Concrete Rose hands down is the top 5 best food I've ever had. We tried a variety of options which include the Salmon Avocado Toast, Soul of the Sea and Chicken wings with concord bbq sauce. All were seasoned, cooked and plated to perfection.
