I still feel like I get a bargain because the sales people know their stuff more than any others I have met over the 37 years I have owned homes (that have needed lots of work!) -- and they care enough to share their knowledge, stating confidently the best product choice or guiding us through the pros and cons of various product options!! Over the years, the knowledgable and kind sales team has rescued me from numerous close calls, wrong decisions that could have really cost me. Rob (the manager) tops the list with knowing the right product for the application, sharing even the smallest details that contribute to the best result. Dave helped advise about doors/windows,trims, etc., and recently, Rich, the paint department manager, saved the day when a couple of painters proposed sanding our cedar shake shingles as part of stain prep and Rich correctly said never to do that, it would remove the shakes' texture and its natural beauty. They view their jobs as essential purveyors of knowledge to the customer, not just to make sales. How lucky we are in CT to have this tremendous resource!

We bought a house in late September and like most new homeowners we wanted to do some updating to…read moreour new home. The kitchen is the heart of a home, is where we get nourishment and congregate. So we decided to start with the kitchen, of course. Then we went back and forth with our options: A Brand new kitchen with new cabinets $$$$$, cabinet refacing $$$, or cabinet refinishing $$. Blessed that we had good cabinets in our new home and an existing good layout to the kitchen, we decided to go with the least expensive option. We were lucky enough to find Brennan and the team at Classic Cabinet Refinishers for our remodel. From the very beginning the whole process was seamless and spot on. They stuck to their quote, no surprises or hidden charges. They stuck to their timeline and finished on the exact day they said they would. Most importantly they delivered what was promised! A beautiful professionally done kitchen not one penny over budget. I couldn't recommend these guys enough. I wish every contractor was as transparent and honorable. We've been burn a little with different contractors in other projects, so to know that there are still honest professionals out there that work with integrity it's a breath of fresh air. Thank you Brennan and the team at Classic Refinishers for giving us the kitchen of our dreams without the heartaches.

Initially, they let us browse without being rushed and then helped us when we asked for more information. We wanted to make sure it's not too tall. They were pretty knowledge and helped us find something similar to what we have. We took it home the same day. The reason I knocked off 1 star is twofold. First of all, the online store is massive and the showroom displays are pretty limited both in styles and variety of brands. Kohler had the most variety. Although limited in size, everything is visually appealing, so I don't really mind seeing fewer options. The real reason I took off 1 star is because they were unable to order or get any information for certain items displayed on their website. They really tried, so it's more of an issue with their website than the employees. I would say service was fantastic without being clingy. Can't do better than that. I would definitely return.

Our wish list was extensive and included moving pipes and plumbing, changing the staircase, installing a new window, creating a half bathroom and laundry room, and building lots and lots of closets for storage. He then put us in the very capable hands of our project manager, Van, who was a pleasure to work with; Van saw to every detail and made sure of our satisfaction at each step along the way. He also offered suggestions based on his extensive expertise that helped the overall project significantly. The craftsmanship and expertise of each of the team members was outstanding - from construction, carpentry and woodworking, to tiling, painting and flooring - and we quickly learned that there wasn't anything we would ask for that they could not accommodate and accomplish beautifully. Our finished basement is beyond our expectations and we could not be happier with how it turned out. We plan to use HM Construction for all of our projects in the future!
