They came and asked a lot…read moreof questions and took measurements. 2 weeks later I got an e-mail telling me that they could not come close to my $50K budget, that the remodel would cost closer to 75-85K. My kitchen is about 400 square feet. I never saw cabinet door samples, or a samples of anything ( backsplash tile, floor choices, etc) and I never got an estimate of how many square feet of cabinets of counter tops that were needed. ( and how that translated to the overall cost).I guess they can tell after a few photos and a measure how much it will cost. I really like to use local contractors, but stay away from this one. They only want to do remodels for people who have loads of money and don't have to worry about overall cost.

The GMG website listed Berkshire Hearth & Home as a dealer so I began by emailing them with some basic questions. They were always quick to reply and answered all of my questions. I originally planned this to be a birthday gift for my wife which would have been in January but there was a really good sale that was coming to an end on 1 December so it was full steam ahead. We agreed on a charge for delivery and setup and after a few days Brad let me know that the grill had arrived and would it be convenient to bring it by the next day (I'm in Milford BTW). He gave me a one hour window for delivery and they arrived exactly at the 1/2 hour mark. Brad and his helper had the grill off of the truck and setup in just a few minutes. There was a shortage from the factory on the grill covers so afterwards I found one online from another vendor and ordered it. Since I'd already paid for a cover with my initial purchase I asked if they could refund the cost of the cover. They immediately replied that it would not be a problem. I was very impressed and satisfied with the entire process and would strongly recommend Berkshire Hearth & Home to anyone.
