Ok so 5 stars to the manager, she was great, the service on the other hand was pretty bad, just a lot of not listening, no where to be found waiter and missing items but the manager took care of all of that. She was the star of the show. The food was ok, we came here because the prices were good and they had grilled chicken but the prices were good because it was all pretty much à la carte and u had to pay extra for fries. It's good if u don't want a side but if u do then prices start going up for every little thing. The grilled chicken was not what I expected, it was on regular white sandwich bread and very small like lunch meat kind of. Sauces were good and a must. Fries nope, the lemonades were great, tea not so much. The chicken wings were more like boiled but had a yummy sauce. It was nice that the chicken sandwiches came with chips but not the other entrees which was odd. The rooftop was cool and nice but I probably won't be back. read more

Honestly the people here are beautiful. But this grilled cheese is by far the worst I've ever seen in my life. First of all, it's not grilled. It's just soaked in butter and not even cooked. Turn the heat down and make a grilled cheese right please. The soup was delicious however. read more

A brand new spot in oceanside - two floors, indoor and outdoor dining and a nice roof top view. Finney's is a family run business with 14 locations throughout Southern California. They have some very refreshing cocktails, good food, and friendly service. The Strawberry Fields cocktail is one of the best I've had in recent memory (vodka, lemon, strawberries, lavender). Also excellent is their Margarita flight. I do not like tequila and I never order regular margaritas, but this flight is on a different level. Hibiscus with black salt - is very sweet and tastes like Kool Aid - our least favorite of the four, but still fun. The Blood Orange with tajin on the rim had a little kick to it and was very good. The Guava and the Watermelon are also very good. All the in-house juices are made fresh every day. The Mini Ahi Poke Tacos have very little Ahi, and I do not recommend them. I do however recommend the Hot Chicken Tenders. The Chicken is delicious and it comes with three different dipping sauces and Fries. This appetizer is excellent. The service was very friendly and helpful and the table-side checkout tablet is convenient. Also, there are no hidden fees added to the bill. What a nice surprise - Finney's has something for everyone on the menu, and you can't beat the drinks. I look forward to my next visit. read more

A few original fares alongside the usual bar food. Some good drinks, big TVs, good vibe in downtown O'side. Didn't had a full size burger, but they were huge and looked tasty, gonna have to go try one. I'd give a 3.5 if I could, strong 3 read more

I was super excited a new restaurant popped up in Oceanside! My family and I decided to try this restaurant out on Friday. We loved it! The atmosphere, the staff, the bartenders were just so welcoming. So when my sister in law came into down on Saturday, we knew we had to take them to this restaurant. Thr food was so good! Both on Friday and Saturday. On Friday we were a party of 4. And on Saturday we were a party of 13! And on both days, the waiter and waitress rocked it! Our party loved the food! We got a bit of everything. On Friday we got the chicken and waffles, the buffalo hot wings and the smoked tri-tip sandwich. The chicken and waffle was my absolute favorite!!! The smoked tri tip sandwich had such a good flavor to it. And my son devoured his wings. On Saturday my husband got the A5 wagyu burger. He really enjoyed that burger. We also tried the Bavarian pretzel. I like it. But I wasn't feeling the mustards I wish they had a better cheese. Like a smoked Gouda and a stone ground mustard. I just didn't like the sweetness in one of the sauces. But other than that, the pretzel it self was good. The garlic parmesan wings had a good flavor to them. And the pepperoni pizza was good too. My daughter got the margarita pizza and that had a good flavor to it. Overall this was a nice place to take family and friends to. The managers are super friendly. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. The serving sizes are good. I will definitely be back to this restaurant. read more

I've been meaning to visit since they opened, but waited a few weeks in case they needed to work a few kinks out. I ordered the Philly egg rolls which were fabulous (the sweet and sour sauce was unnecessary but looked pretty on the plate; I didn't care for the other sauces either and enjoyed these plain) and the smoked tri tip sandwich. That was... "just okay". I didn't like the competing spice from the horseradish aioli and arugula. I also found the sandwich too greasy. I brought it home and changed the bread for toasted sourdough and added leftover Cole slaw for color and it was delicious. If I order it again, I will ask for plain mayo. Everyone was so nice! I sat at the bar and was helped by several people. I really enjoyed the ambience and decor- it's a loud sports bar with an elevated menu. This spot will definitely be in rotation for Date Nights and I want to try the burgers, avocado egg rolls and possibly the lobster sliders. Pros: - super friendly - creative menu (albeit somewhat poor execution) - plating - huge portion sizes - filtered water - location- walkable and near other activities - house-made chips with sandwiches! - Happy Hour - real crushed fruit in drinks - compostable to-go containers - decent parking options Cons: - competing ingredients don't compliment each other in some dishes - something misses the mark for me, but I want to love this place read more

The OC food scene is definitely growing. Finney's Craft-house is one of the latest examples. Service and Ambiance: All staff members were very helpful. They made sure that things got sorted quickly when we encountered some issues. The restaurant offers seating on a top deck with full service and bar which is pretty cool. Food and drinks: Good selection in both categories. Food was okay. I ordered Ahi tuna burger but had to replace it with bison burger. The tuna cut had lots of white tissue that was too tough to chew. They have big selection of beers. That's good. Unfortunately, my red wine was served in a glass with a big red lipstick mark. It was replaced swiftly. Pricing: Average prices for OC area. They do offer good happy hour prices so make the most of it. read more

Taking over the spot where Davina's Cabo Grill used to be, this SoCal small chain is a welcome addition to the Oceanside area. I have been to the Santa Barbara location once, and enjoyed it, so I was excited to try this location. New to this neighborhood (I think they opened June 17, 2024) They have a downstairs sports bar/restaurant feel and a really nice 2nd floor open air bar and seating area. Happy hour only goes till 5pm (M-F 3-5pm as of right now) which really sucks but we came in for dinner. Everyone was really nice. We had the spicy tuna crispy rice for an appetizer and I really enjoyed it. The rice was both crispy and sticky and the tuna was just a little spicy. Will order it again for sure. For dinner, my Bf had the grilled Mahi Mahi tacos, and he said they were good. He had been craving fish tacos and they totally hit the spot for him. I had a burger and it was really tasty as well. There are so many things in the menu I'm interested in trying. The neighbors had the nachos and one of the dry rub wings and it smelled so good. Definitely in the list read more

Went in again last light for dinner with some friends. I just love this place now-the service is too good! Other places need to take note-this is how a restaurant needs to be run! Delicious food, waitstaff that check on you consistently all the while refilling your drinks, a front of the house general manager that checks on their guests, and a clean and aesthetically-pleasing environment! I had the Chicken and Waffles. Not the best picture (blame my aging phone)....but it was just so good!! This is an appetizer but it was big enough of a meal for 1 person-and I had leftovers! The chicken was so tender and the waffle and the chicken skin had a good crisp to it-a perfect combo! Also, you can add a fourth if you want! Until next time! read more

Finally made it to Finney's. The inside dining/bar area was nicely done. Open, plenty of light from the large windows and plenty of seating. Both booths and tables so the options are there. We sat downstairs so didn't get the chance to check out the upstairs but that is a future goal. Though we didn't order anything from the bar it appears they have a good selection of craft brews. We ordered the Gary's Pepperoni and added sausage. We were surprised by how thin the crust was. It was like a cracker. Good but a different kind of crust for sure. We'd order a pizza again. We also ordered the Hickory BBQ Burger and onion rings. The burger itself does not include a side so you'll be paying for fries, onion rings, tots, etc. Both of these were good as well but I would have liked to see more BBQ sauce on the burger. If I order it again I'll ask for extra sauce. Overall a good experience and friendly staff. We'll return and probably bring family and/or friends. read more

Finney's Crafthouseis now open and these are my first impressions. Finney's Crafthouse is a chain that has opened in northern county and has been expanding to the coast; now they're in Downtown Oceanside. They serve a variety of American cuisine, including burgers, sliders, chicken & waffles, tacos, salads, pizza, smashburgers, buffalo cauliflower, coconut shrimp and a wide variety of beers and cocktails and boast a large selection of housemade sauces. I can also appreciate that they carry a large variety of LOCAL brands for their beer selections. They have 2 levels for dining, and ground level and an upstairs bar & deck. Downstairs has table, booth and bar seating. Upstairs has small tables for couples, bench tables for groups and bar seating. There are televisions both upstairs and downstairs, that are good for sporting events & games. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Upon entry, I was greeted by the host and I asked for seating upstairs. They took my name & phone number and I was notified about 12 minutes later that my seat was ready. After coming upstairs, I enjoyed the breeze and noticed that they also heaters as well. Their rooftop itself is very innovative. Its vented design allows for them to open completely and allow for natural lighting; but they can also completely fold closed and allow for protection from rain or direct sun-rays. The only negative is that they don't have the ocean view Their menu is not only diverse, but is also very reasonably priced. Most menu items are under $16 and then they have a Happy Hour Special Menu , Monday to Friday , 3PM-5PM, with food options under $9. I love their musical playlist selection that was playing 80's-90's soft rock and rock classics; perfectly suited the vibe. I ordered their mini ahi poke tacos and buffalo cauliflower and both were under $10 and very delicious. I can also appreciate their housemade sauces and aiolis. I feel the ONLY con that I could find with Finney's is that they only had some Red Rooster Louisiana hot sauce on the table and I would have liked to see a local brand, such as 7 SIBLINGS available. 7 Siblings hot sauce helps to accentuate the flavor of a meal and not drown it out. This would also show some support for a local brand. I made this recommendation to staff and management. But for those looking for a good hot sauce, ask staff for one of their housemade sauces instead. Overall, I feel that Finney's Crafthouse is a great addition to the downtown Oceanside dining scene and with plans to serve food until 10PM and drinks until 11PM, they pose to help revitalize the nightlife dining scene that downtown so desperately deserves. read more

We came here for happy hour with some friends. We were seated right away at the rooftop bar. We ordered a pretzel, loaded tator tots and Italian chopped salad. We will come back and try more food. read more

Finney's was good. The food was fresh and well prepared. Everything is à La carte, so the side dishes will definitely set you back a bit. The service was very friendly, and efficient. While I LOVE Finney's in Santa Barbara, this is my first time at this location. I was enjoying my chicken sandwich when I decided to add tapatío to it because WHY NOT. I thought it tasted funny. I couldn't verify the expiration date on the bottle but when I looked towards the top of the bottle there were noticeable signs of MOLD! The manager came over and brought me a new bottle but did nothing else! I'm posting this in hopes that no one gets stomach poisoning or problems! Check your tapatío bottles ya'll! While randomly roaming around Oceanside, we randomly tried this spot with an extensive menu and a great drink selection. The Wagyu burger was excellent, and there are a few more items I'm eager to try. Our server was cool as hell, super confident in his recommendations, which made me even more excited for the food, and it didn't disappoint. We headed up to the second-floor rooftop, where the outdoor heaters, plenty of TVs, and a great view made for the perfect atmosphere. 10/10 Experience, Every Time! Finney's has quickly become one of my favorite spots in town, and a big part of that is because of the staff. Grace was our server again and she absolutely crushed it. She's personable, attentive, and has such a fun, playful personality that instantly makes you feel welcome. She engages in real conversation, remembers small details, and creates an atmosphere that makes the dining experience feel personal instead of transactional. She builds genuine rapport effortlessly. We enjoyed our time so much that we decided to come back just to sit at the bar with her and enjoy drinks made by the amazing bartender Jackie. Jackie is incredibly skilled, warm, and knows her craft. Not only are the drinks excellent, but she also remembers customers and makes you feel like part of the Finney's family. Between Grace and Jackie, Finney's has a staff that knows how to deliver great service, great vibes, and a memorable experience. Their personalities, consistency, and customer connection alone are enough to keep us coming back. Can't recommend this place highly enough! read more

We enjoyed roof top dining this week at Finney's! Our lunch was delicious! The Moroccan salad bowl was fabulous! We also enjoyed the smash burgers. Poor customer service upstairs on the rooftop. We checked in down stairs and was told it was a five minute wait after waiting upstairs 25 minutes being ignored we had enough. We opted for seating on the roof. Weather was mild and slightly breezy. Lots of good stuff on the menu. I couldn't decide so I asked our wait person for their preference. Without hesitation she replied Pastrami Reuben. Do I ordered it. Fantastic! The sandwich is served with sauerkraut on the side as well as Sriracha ketchup. The pastrami is smoked on premises and sliced thin. It almost looked like bacon. Russian dressing, Dijon, on grilled rye made this so good! Served with a side of homemade kettle chips. The service was great and the place was very clean. Definitely a must eat when you're on Oceanside! read more

Never again. Waited for someone to come to their little podium and seat me. That was about 5 minutes. I was traveling for work and dining alone. I was sat down and the wait began.... Finally after 13 minutes a server noticed me and asked if I was waiting to pick up an order or did I seat myself. Strange. Anyways ordered a chicken Ceasar salad with a side of extra dressing as last time I was here 6 months ago the salad came with barely any. Also ordered the pretzel as I have before. Well salad came out. An embarrassing amount of chicken. No extra dressing and no croutons. Ummm .... The pretzel was so dry it was inedible. Finally someone came to check on me. I asked about my dressing. The wait for the extra dressing put me over. I was done. Finally saw my server again after a very long time. Maybe she was on break. I told her I was over it. Pointed out everything that was wrong and she went to get the manager. The manager came and I told her everything. She just looked at me and said oh I'm sorry. That was it. Didn't offer to comp the food with 3 bites out of it or anything. I paid my bill. Don't ask me why !!! Never again. Service sucks. Wasn't busy. This place LOOKS better than it tastes. Don't get fooled. Or do, if you're okay with a bad meal, but a kinda fun space and vibe. The bloody mary was so weirdly sweet? And came with bacon, which my partner doesn't eat pork. Yikes. The boneless wings LOOKED good, but were mushy and gamey??? The burger was basic. Nice, helpful staff. Credit to them. And you can pay via a little credit card thing, and you don't have to wait for your server. That was cool. But sadly, I wouldn't call it a forgettable meal. Just one I'd like to forget. read more

I am absolutely disappointed and HUNGRY! We love going to Finney's but we won't be going again. We got seated at 7:15pm the downstairs was pretty empty. Our waitress came up to our table and took our drink order, we also informed her we were ready to order everything as we eat there often this was at 7:20. Our appetizers got to us at 7:30ish plus 2 kids pizzas arrived at 7:50ish. We then waited for mine and my husband's food until 8:30 when I flagged the waitress down and informed we wanted to cancel our food because our kids were done and our food was nowhere in sight. She informed my husband's food was done and mine would be 2-3 minutes longer ( the kitchen was backed up ). So I said I'd wait but that I wanted everything boxed up to go. I then proceeded to wait 15 more minutes to only be handed my husbands food and be told my chicken club was not going to be ready for a while and that they took it off and I could just take my husbands food. We left at 8:50 hungry because I didn't get to eat dinner. The MANAGER never once came over to our table to check on us to see what was going on. We didn't need anything special but honestly to wait almost 2 hours and not receive our food is unacceptable and a percentage off would have been nice, even just a I'm sorry for what happened but we didn't even get that. I'm so disappointed Finney's and my family / friends will no longer be going and it won't be our #1 to tell people about. I'm so sad. read more

Had to go to the brick for a drank! I'm not sure why they wouldn't accommodate their bar when there is a farmers market that draws in thousands of people on every Thursday! I would give this restaurant zero stars if Yelp allowed it. The only positive part of our experience was that we were seated quickly, despite having a party of six adults and two children under six. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We waited about 15 minutes before our waitress came to take our drink order, and she never offered or brought water to the table. After about 30 minutes, I had to get up and ask for water. She then asked if we were ready to order entrées but never mentioned appetizers. We had to tell her we wanted to start with appetizers and ordered four. Thirty minutes later, we still hadn't received our appetizers, so we decided we'd better order our entrées because the service was moving so slowly. While taking our order, our waitress repeatedly tried to upsell us in odd ways for example, asking my sister if she wanted to add a side of fries to her pizza. Only one appetizer arrived at first, and the remaining three didn't come out until an hour and 15 minutes after we ordered them. No one ever apologized or explained the delay. Our entrées followed about 30 minutes later. The food was disappointing. The Reuben was extremely dry, and the fish in the fish tacos was so oversized that it barely fit in the tortillas, making them difficult to eat. After we finished eating, we waited another 20 minutes for to go boxes before my husband had to find our waitress. Even then, it took another 15 minutes for them to arrive. The most frustrating part was the lack of communication. If the restaurant was short-staffed or the kitchen was backed up, simply letting customers know would set expectations. Instead, we were left waiting with no updates throughout the entire meal. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences we've had. Between the painfully slow service, lack of communication, and disappointing food, we won't be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

We've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got the chance to. I wanted to wait for the hype to die down and it seems to have because we only waited about 15 mins on a Sunday afternoon. There was lots I wanted to try on the menu but I'm trying to eat healthy so I ordered the Cobb salad and they let me add red onions. Yum. The salad was loaded with toppings. Would love for that to have come with a piece of bread. But probably better it didn't since I'm trying to eat more nutritiously. We also had the deviled eggs and loaded tots appetizers. Both were really good. Deviled eggs would def order again. Loaded tots was actually a small portion. Maybe like an app for 2 people. But it was still enjoyable and since we got 2 apps and I'm eating less it was fine for our group of 5. I tried the homemade chips as well and I loved those. Want to comeback and order my own sandwich with those chips. Fries were great too. Everyone seemed satisfied with their meals. My son had the tri tip sandwich, mother In law regular burger and my aunt in law has the chicken sandwich. My husband had the waygu burger and was not impressed. He's the only one who said he wouldn't wanna come back. Menu is one page. But still extensive so I would come back to try more. The iced tea wasn't the best but I guess they're more known for the cocktails. My son has the blueberry lemonade though and that was amazing. Maybe I can ask for an Arnold Palmer with the blueberry lemonade next time. We sat upstairs and it did smell like urine where I was sitting. No one else smelled it. I don't know if it was a dog as there were a lot of dogs there (sorry but dog friendly restaurant is a red flag for me; only reason I wouldn't make an effort to comeback - seriously so many dogs and disruptively barking the whole time, one of the staff members even seemed somewhat scared of one that was going off) smell could also be from the homeless that used to roam around.but we were upstairs and I can't imagine a smell carrying that far with no one else smelling it. Service was on top of it though! Really pleasant. Unfortunately I'm not a master yelper yet and I got distracted by the food and company so only got photos of the apps Edit to add: the price is actually pretty reasonable. 5 of us ate with 2 appetizers and a margarita flight for $152 read more

I hardly ever right a bad review, but the staff here are completely senseless. We arrived with a group of 20, including kids. They told us the wait is 45 minutes to an hour. They accepted all kinds of walk ins groups of 4-5 ppl and after an hour of wait, we were told we have to possibly wait another hour. After waiting an hour and 45 minutes, even though they had plenty of space to accommodate us, they still made us wait. We finally gave up as we realized they weren't going to set up a table for us after the long wait. We walked across the street to a pizza place and they accommodated our group right away. I'm speechless! This might have been the worst dining experience I have ever had. read more
