Ahi poke bowl $14
Danica V.

Such a clutch location near Disneyland, this place offers a big variety of food options. Something for all. We tried their brussel sprouts, ahi poke bowl, Wagyu burger. All are pretty good and tasty Service was also prompt for a place that's quite busy and we came in on a Wednesday night They do validate 2hrs for parking here however once you pass the 2hr mark it's a steep $25 fee

Chicken and waffles - poke nachos - Brussels sprouts

Overall I would describe this as mediocre at best from service to food. The vibe is pretty robust and it's hard to have a conversation across the table. Service was lacking and our waiter wasn't very attentive. Now let's move to the food. We decided to share several starters as they looked appealing on the menu. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, onion rings tower, poke nachos, and chicken and waffles. Was not impressed with any of them. The Brussels sprouts had frozen figs in them that were charred and too hard to eat. The Brussel sprouts were fine but had little flavor. The onion ring tower was okay but nothing special about them. The chicken and waffles you could tell the waffles were deep fried from a frozen state and the maple sriracha glaze was flavorless. The chicken was overcooked and tough to eat. The poke nachos were fishy and they shouldn't be. We couldn't eat them. The cups we were served had lipstick stains in them still. And the margaritas we ordered lacked a lot of flavor. We would have let our waiter know but he didn't come around. While this is in close proximity to the Disney resort and convenient to most hotels you can find better food at other places for the same price point. This was incredibly disappointing. We expected more from this place based on the reviews. We were sadly disappointed.

Tri Tip Sandwich

Finney's is one of those restaurants that I have heard nothing but good things about. My friends, family and coworkers had all been except for me so I was excited to be able to come eat here today. On a Sunday evening, the place was not too busy. I feel like everytime I drive by here on my way to work, I see a lot of people inside, usually crowds on their way to Disney or coming out of Disney. Either way, I was happy with the fact that they seated us right away. Though I'm not a big fan of beer, I have heard great things about the food here. Even though they can fit all of the items in one page of the menu, there is an incredible amount of variety and things to choose from. We ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls, I had a Tri tip sandwich, my brothers had the finney burger and the wagyu burger and my BIL had the bbq chicken pizza and loaded tots. It was all really good but the Tri tip sandwich and the cheesesteak egg rolls were the best, at least in my opinion. I didn't get to try much else but they had really good things to say about wha they ordered too. Our server was also very attentive and patient with us. He was super chill. Overall it was some excellent service with some very good food. Would love to come back.

We came in Wednesday around 3pm before going to Disneyland. We wanted a place to get some good beer and saw that the reviews were good. It was also happy hour so that was a plus. The service was great, our server was so sweet and attentive . We were happy with our service from her. But with that being said I wasn't crazy about the food. We got chicken nachos on happy hour , we subbed for chicken instead of carnitas. The nachos were just pretty bland not a lot of flavor in my opinion. The cheese was a little hard and clumped together not spread all over the chips too much. We also got the bone in buffalo wings and they were decent , I wish they had a bit more spice! My daughter got the crispy chicken bites off the kids menu and really enjoyed that. I would come back here again and try other food out because overall it wasn't a bad experience.

Bison Burger with Fries

Stopped by for lunch on Thursday and had a good experience here with my group of co-workers. This new location for the chain replaced the former Coco's restaurant which closed down years ago. They have revamped the space and it's a lot more open and inviting now. They have a good selection of alcohol to choose from along with a great happy hour and a food menu consisting of appetizers, burgers and sandwiches, wings, and pizza. I went for their bison burger which is one of their signature items with fries and it was delicious. The bison meat was flavorful and not dry and it paired well with the bacon jam, cherry peppers, and smoked gouda. Service was friendly and decently quick. I did want to mention that 2 of my colleagues both ordered the jalapeno egg burger and they both didn't come with the jalapenos when they first came from the kitchen. We had to tell our waiter and they eventually brought them out which was kind of surprising to see. Overall we had a good lunch minus that little hiccup with the jalapenos and it's a great new spot near Disneyland to eat or watch a game and watch sports on the TVs!

Nashville chicken sliders

Went on a Wednesday during a conference I attended at the Anaheim convention center. Had a great experience the customer service was great. I was seated quickly. I received my meal in a timely manner. I ordered the Nashville chicken sliders, which was spicy, but not too spicy and a drink. Decent lunch, but a bit pricey. Not too busy at lunch, but the parking is limited. I highly recommend and I definitely will be returning.

My favorite casual restaurant that I originally encountered in old town Orange is expanding! I was by myself so I opted to sit at the bar this time which was the right move. The bartender was super nice and quick to take my drink order then follow up with my food order. What I love most about Finney's is they offer good food and drinks for a reasonable price these days. I honestly feel the quality and consistency of good food I get here for the value is spot on, especially being so close to Disneyland and the Convention Center. It's walking distance from most of the convention area hotels and even the Disney-owned hotels.

This is an amazing spot. We have also been to the SLO location and confirm it's just a great all around organization. The Anaheim location is crazy because it's literally right across Katella from the park, but has completely normal pricing. And the happy hour is incredibly affordable. We went a couple of times, and had great service and great food both times. Wide selection of beer / wine, and every single dish on the table hit. Elevated pub food is the best description I can give. I can't say enough how refreshing it is to find a legitimately quality restaurant at a reasonable price so close to the park. Recommend highly! It is not a huge space, so can fill up.

While in town for a conference, I wandered down to Finney's with a group of coworkers after a long day of travel. Candidly, I hadn't scoped out the menu or much about the place in advance - I was just hoping for a solid meal before sleeping off a 20 hour travel day and time change. So, I was pumped when Finney's turned out to be a great choice! The menu offers a great selection, and I was excited about my poke bowl as soon as I ordered it. When it came out, the dish was full of colorful and fresh ingredients, and everything was delicious. Everyone in our large party enjoyed their meal. The vibes and aesthetic of the restaurant itself were welcoming and perfect for a group of coworkers catching up and chatting. Service was on top of things, and very friendly. I would recommend Finney's to anyone in the area and hope my travels bring me back sometime in the future!

First time visitor to this location Located off Katella next to the Best Western Free parking 2 hours validation, after $25 an hour as they share parking with the hotel - very small parking indeed unfortunately (and out of their control) watch out for some of their entry points where the arm doesn't work and look at the time on the ticket as it was behind Happy hour 3-5 Mon to Fri Plenty of drinks beers and cocktails to choose from Appetizer start at $7, and there is a combo special of $16 that is basically a burger fries and beer deal! Indoor outdoor dining Bar seating booth tables Dog friendly location Definetly spot for sports, solo dining, group get together, family friendly Clean industrial functional lights decor, easy on the eyes and appealing to look at Pleasant host / hostess Server was super on it and check up on us constantly ensuring we had everything Food was tasty and fresh everything from avocado egg rolls flat bread pizza poke bowl tater tots salad chicken finger - easily shareable and or leftover! Paying for the bill with a large party, there is a machine at the table where everyone can select their own item and pay accordingly so no worries about telling the server and providing multiple payments Definetly good vibes of a spot to hangout overall, besides parking that isn't so great, would certainly return indeed!

Wagyu Burger

I have been here multiple times now because the burgers are amazing! Meat is so tender and burgers are flavorful. Adult drinks are yummy. Service is great. Place is clean. Their flat bread pepperoni pizza is so delicious as well! One of my favorites. Onion rings without Parmesan are a better choice in my opinion.

Ahi sandwich

I love finneys! So excited to have a location close to home and it's a good location being close to Disney. This location is a little smaller than others I've been to but service was great. Food and drinks were delish as always. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun, casual dinner spot! Good for the whole family or even for just a date night. I love coming to finneys!

Happy hour at 3. Two hours of parking with validation

The drinks were expensive and very small, and honestly didn't feel worth the price. The food was the same way. We ordered the scallops and the cheeseburger -- $36 for three scallops with rice and $26 for a mediocre burger and fries felt really overpriced for the quality and portion sizes. Unfortunately, the whole experience felt more like a rip-off than a special night out. I don't think I'd return, and I probably wouldn't recommend it to friends.

It has this dark but classy aesthetic and I was not prepared for that (in a good way). This restaurant has been here for about 2 years with different ownership and menu so I was excited to see what they had to offer. Hugo helped us with our order and he was very friendly and professional. We went ahead and ordered the ahi tuna taco, pork belly bao, garlic fries, the margharita pizza, the yuzu lobster pasta, and for drinks I got the virgin burning thyme. My friend got that and other drinks as well. Ahi tuna taco - 5/5 probably the best food item for the evening. The tuna was fresh, perfect amount of kick in its sauce, and the outter shell was perfectly crunchy. I think them replacing the shell with wonton was exceptional with the texture. Every bite was extremely satisfying. Pork Belly bao - 4/5 everything was delicious. The bow itself is bouncy and moist. There wasn't anything special about the sauce inside with the pork belly, but I would definitely give it a try at least once. A great portion with your friends or family as an appetizer. Garlic fries - 3/5 It was a bit underwhelming, but nothing horrible. I could not taste the garlic at all, but the fries itself was cooked to perfection with the outer being pretty crispy and inside being soft. Margharita pizza - 4/5 I really like the crust and the breading of this pizza. It was crispy and the pepperoni was cooked to perfection. I really like the small pepperoni because it gives an immense amount of flavor in each bite. The cheese and the tomato sauce was fine, but nothing special. Yuzu lobster pasta - 4/5 I wish I was able to taste more of the Yuzu since that's in the name of the dish, but I could not. If it was just called the lobster pasta I would say it's amazing. The tomatoes were perfect to lighten the entire dish with the heavy sauce and the pasta. The lobster was cooked fine. Other than that it was fine, but I would say either enhance the Yuzu flavor or remove it in the name of the dish. Burning thyme - 4.5/5 I really like the acid and the balance of sweetness and sour in this drink. Usually, I get skeptical when I make an alcoholic drink version because the bartender tends to over sweeten the drink, but this was not the case, and I enjoyed it a lot with our food.

We attended a special Chartreuse tasting event at Strong Water which was being held in honor of…read moreChartreuse week and Chartreuse Day 1605 (May 16), the annual celebration of Chartreuse's origins and history. The tasting featured a great lineup of green and yellow Chartreuse paired with small bites. It concluded with a complementary Chartreuse-based cocktail from one of five recipes. Brand ambassador Taylor guided the event and began by telling us about the unique history of Chartreuse. The tasting started out with a small spoonful of Vegetal Elixir Chartreuse to warm up the palate. This is the base spirit of both green and yellow Chartreuse and clocks in at 138 proof. It was surprisingly not harsh, but immediately kicked my salivary glands into overdrive. I didn't even know that vintages of Chartreuse was a thing, but Taylor walked us through tasting three different vintages of both yellow and green Chartreuse, and it was surprising how different they were. The lineup concluded with more rare varietals of the green elixir 1605 and yellow cuvee. Great job, thanks Taylor! Chef Kling presented each small bite which included a crispy Icelandic cod, a roasted beet crostino, and a lamb slider. All of them had a five star list of ingredients and were delicious. Strong Water is known for their excellent cocktails, but their food is also great. For my cocktail at the end of the event, I had the Bar Flower (Green Chartreuse, Crème de Cacao, Pineapple, Lime). This was so good, with the herbal and chocolate flavors perfectly balanced. It was served with a flaming lime half. This was such a great event! Chartreuse retails for around $100 a bottle, and the higher-end varieties cost even more. At just $45 per person, this event was an amazing bargain. Strong Water frequently hosts great events, so keep an eye on their social media for upcoming dates. I really love Chartreuse, so I went back a few days later on the last day of Chartreuse week to try a few of the other limited time cocktails. I started out with their twist on a Grasshopper (Chartreuse, Crème de Menthe, Chili Liqueur, Crème de Cacao, Cream, Cane, $22). This was a great classic Grasshopper, but the Chartreuse added a herbal complexity, and there is a dash of heat on the finish from the chili liqueur. Next I had the Flare Gun (Yellow Chartreuse, Overproof Rum, Italian Bitter, Lime, Cane, $20). The yellow Chartreuse definitely comes through, but it's softer and has a light sweetness, unlike the green variety. Even though it contains overproof rum, it is perfectly balanced and not boozy at all. I usually don't like bitter drinks, but the bitterness was at a perfect light level. I finished off with the Tales from the Black Lagoon which is my favorite drink here, and it's also a favorite of many of the bartenders. All three cocktails were a home run. Chartreuse is an expensive spirit, so those drinks cost a little more than average. Shout out to Karen, Joey, Edgar, Jordan, and Ying for excellent hospitality, as always. Strong Water is our favorite place. We can't wait to go back!

We arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening and we were bummed that it was packed full inside. We decided to go have a drink upstairs, and then come back down later to see if it was any less busy. There must have been one big group who left because 30 minutes later, it was completely empty inside. There are a few wood tables outside of the entrance and several two seat tables along the outside of the side of the train, but for a first visit we definitely wanted to be inside. When you come inside at BXCR, there are two long green couches along each side that wrap around to the entrance to maximize available space. There are two steamer trunks on each side that serve as tables. We were surprised that all of the tables had a Yahtzee game on them, and we had a blast playing that while we enjoyed our drinks. If you happen to roll a Yahtzee, they give you a candle as a prize. There is good background music playing that fits the environment. There is some good décor with overhead baggage racks and international clocks on one wall, and gauges on the wall next to the bar. There are some small rectangular windows along the top of both sides, and some curtained windows on the right side which do let a little light in. When the main entrance door is opened before its dark outside, it does let quite a bit of light in and kills the ambience temporarily. I would recommend coming closer to or after sunset to not let any outside sunlight interfere with your experience. The drinks are made at the bar in the rear where there are several seats and a little standing room. It wasn't on the current menu, but I saw on a previous menu they had an Amaretto Sour so I started with that, and it did not disappoint. It was nice and frothy from an egg white and had Angostura bitters on top. My girlfriend started with the Calm Cruise which was great. It's basically a Pina Colada, but with an additional honeydew flavor in the background. For number two, I tried the C-League cocktail. The smokiness of Mezcal has grown on me lately if it is not the primary flavor, and in this drink it is at a nice level somewhere in the middle. The cucumber and cilantro are definitely present, along with a little heat from the ancho verde and a little sweetness from the Luxardo maraschino. This is a excellent easy-drinking tequila cocktail. Her number two was the Aviation which she enjoyed. Vince was our main bartender along with Sarah. They were very friendly and fun to chit-chat with while they were mixing up our drinks. This is definitely a cool place to check out, and we will definitely return.

On our recent trip to Disneyland, and as guests of the Disneyland Hotel, I learned of The Broken…read moreSpell Lounge just a day prior to arrival in Anaheim. This is a lovely Sleeping Beauty forrested theme lounge, and while it is small, we had no issue in waiting for a table both times we visited this Lounge. We went to the Broken Spell on our day of arrival, and David was an excellent server! I already knew I was going to order the charcuterie pizza, and asked David for a recommendation on cocktails. David recommended the Raven's Wing, and the presentation and smokey flavor did NOT disappoint. The charcuterie pizza was delicious and large enough to satisfy the appetite of two people with leftovers. I also tried the Benevolent Fairy drink which comes in three seperate potion glasses and was so much fun. While it was a great drink, I preferred the Raven's Wing! Server David was very kind and very attentive, checking on us regularly to ensure a great experience. On our last day, we stopped in on our way to the airport so we had our luggage. We were immediately seated, and greeted by a server named Gloria. When she saw our bags, she thought we were just arriving, and gave a very detailed rundown of the cocktails and food. We were only there for one last round of the Raven's Wing cocktail, and were promptly served given our time constraints. I look forward to returning to The Broken Spell Lounge!

I had to take half to go. One son liked his fish 'n chips. The other super picky kid liked his chicken sandwich. The ambiance is nice. Cozy velour couches in pretty jewel tones and low lighting. I do wish they had some higher tables available for diners, but that's quibbling. It should be way more busy than it is. Good food that veers from the usual amusement park offerings is harder to find in the California parks than the Florida parks.

It was 5 o'clock somewhere lol…read more This bar has prime real estate inside the great, Anaheim packing district. (The Anaheim packing district has private parking and it's easy to find a spot during the week. On the weekend, it's another story) You basically run right into the hammer bar when you enter from the main entrance. It's nothing fancy, gives off hipster vibes and is cool without trying to be cool. The two bartenders Josh and Xavier were amazing I came here around prime lunch time. I went and asked one of the bartenders, since they do not serve food if it was ok to bring some pastries inside and eat them with my drink. (There's a pastry place right next to the hammer bar) They said since it was a weekday and not busy I could bring something in. So I went and grabbed some food and sat there while drinking my drinks. They have bar seating and then they have hightop tables as well I asked them for some recommendations. Josh and Xavier both recommended The zombie (kept warning me that it was extremely strong. So I stayed away from that. Even though I'm confident I could handle it) The banana clip The pool noodle (I told them I needed it to be pretty / cool looking too, lol) I went with the pool noodle -Plantaray Pineapple Rum, Rhum J.M. Agricole, guava, apricot, lime and cava. AND, let me tell you, this was delicious AND looked amazing 10/10 Then I went with the banana clip- Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon, banana, mandarine, cinnamon, pineapple and lemon. 10/10, I loved it To be honest all the drinks sounded great. If I wasn't planning on going to other places and walking around the packing district, I would have just stayed at this bar and had a few more lol. Prices were extremely reasonable as well The service that Josh and Xavier provided was phenomenal 10/10. They were friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all the questions I had They also have mocktails, beer and wine. I highly recommend coming here for a drink if you are coming to the Anaheim Packing district. Or stay here for a while. I could have definitely stayed longer and tried more. I'll definitely be back next time I am in the area (On the menu it says they offer gift cards. So it would be perfect for any friends that live by this place and appreciate a cool bar)
