I wasn't asking for a refund -- I simply wanted to exchange them for the same style in a normal fit. Because I didn't have the receipt or tag, I was told I couldn't make the exchange. The customer service was poor, and the manager, Raul, was not helpful. Considering how much they charge for their clothing, a much higher level of customer service is expected. Shortly afterward, my fiancé returned the exact same item under the same circumstances and his return was accepted without issue. The only obvious difference between us was that I am Asian and he is Caucasian. I cannot say why we were treated differently, but it was difficult not to question the inconsistency. Being denied while watching someone else receive different treatment for what appeared to be the same situation left me feeling embarrassed and singled out. I hope Lululemon reviews how its return policies are applied so that all customers are treated fairly and consistently.
