I had a great experience when I arrived late on a Sunday afternoon without an appointment and was able to get a pedicure. The place was extremely clean and well organized. The reclining massage chairs were comfortable and the color matched the glass pedicure basins. The staff did an amazing job, taking time and care. The price cannot be beat, especially for the quality of the service received. They have 2 small rooms for eyebrow and facial waxing. There is also a restroom. I had no idea this place existed and happened to stumble upon it when visiting a nearby business. I would recommend and will return , although was told that it is best to make an appointment ahead of time as they can get very busy. Plenty of parking in lot with other shared businesses. read more

The worst pedicure I ever got. She filed every toenail a different shape and my big toe was actually pointed to the side. She had no clue how to fix and filed them down so badly it looked a 5 year old did it. Then the polish was showing brush strokes and she just stoped and make the guy there try to fix and all he did was yell at me and instead of trying to find another color he tells me to go find one myself and that my nails are not smooth so it's my fault for picking the color. He did not stop being nasty and yelling at me until I left. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!! read more

I tried this nail salon for the first time this morning. I should have paid attention while the technician was painting my toes. Very rarely do I not examine closely before leaving... just noticed that the skin on my pinky toenail was painted and not the nail. I also want to mention that I purchased a $50 spa pedicure which includes a 10 min massage. A timer was not set and I received less than 5 min total. I did not say anything but I should have. I've never experienced that before. It wasn't busy either. This salon is in a great location and I'm sure they will consider training their staff. I simply don't have the time to go back and have them fix it. I just removed the polish myself and won't return to this salon in the future. I normally have a good experience here but today's trip was a disappointment. I got a regular pedicure with callous removal, the lady was scrubbing too hard on the side of the my big toe. I complained about the pain and it started to bleed. She saw it was bleeding, not a single apology. When I asked for a bandage, she was complaining to her fellow co-worker that I was being a baby about it. I asked for an antibiotic ointment.. she wasn't happy about it. I have been coming here a little over a year.. not returning again. Now I am beginning to wonder about their cleanliness. Came in for a quick mani pedi. No wait time but color options are limited. You get what you pay for - not the nicest salon and pretty low quality pedicure but cheap and quick. I wanted to love this place, because it's convenient and parking is easy. I went with my daughter who got a mani-pedi, and I got a manicure. My nail beds are perfect (pregnant!) but the technician still somehow nicked my pinky cuticle with the pusher (which was wielded aggressively with painful results). The manicure looks fine. My daughters manicure also looks fine, but her pedicure looks like she did it herself. She's seven, and she said, "They're not very good at toes." In terms of ambience, there isn't any. Everything seemed dirty, like an office that hasn't been properly cleaned or maintained for 6 years. The tools looked dirty to the eye (bad sign) and when I asked about sterilization, they patted a small covered vat, which I think meant they dip it in some sort of sterilizing solution. The tools used on me were used on the person right before me, and then wiped with a small piece of paper towel dipped in some sort of solvent. Rubbing alcohol? Idk. The drying station was sticky. The people were very pleasant, but the feeling I was left with? Run! read more

This place should not say they know how to do powder gel. The woman doing my nails clearly was struggling to figure out next steps. She smudged my nails multiple times and then for some reason needed to dry the powder gel (never done this anywhere else) with a small metal fan. Never EVER come here for a powder gel manicure. My normal nail salon couldn't fit me in so I went to this one on a whim. Big mistake. I had to pay $10 more for a powder manicure than I usually do ($45) so I expected it to be amazing. This was by far the worst powder manicure I have ever gotten. It was textured, not shiny, messy, and 3 of my nails cracked by that same night. I went back the next day to see if I could get a refund but they insisted on fixing them instead. Two more broke the next day. They were very nice but clearly confused and had absolutely no clue what they were doing and certainly have NO right to be charging $45 for how bad it turned out. A powder manicure should last over 2 weeks, not less than 2 days... Will never be returning. read more

my pedicure came out good. the experience was horrible. had one of the employees yelling at the other. not peaceful at all. a customer came in and was screaming into the phone with her dog sitting on her lap. disturbing and unsanitary. definitely not a spa experience at all. was more stressed and frustrated when i left than when i came in. read more

this is my nail salon. I go for manicures every weekend and pedicures every other. I do realize that the ladies working don't know english well AT ALL but they could make a little more effort to communicate and smile. They do a great job in the end even though it might be a bit painful as they cut your cuticles and scrub your feet. They do great job with the designs and paint job but they don't connect with you as a customer. They should make their nail polishes look not as crusty and old and maybe get few more choices and organize them. They also should update their equipment and clean more so that their customers aren't questioning the cleanleness of the tools used on their bodies. read more

And they give the best neck massages while you dry. It is a little hidden gem in Westport among so many overpriced places. I stopped here today on a whim because all my regular places were closed due to power outages from Hurricane Irene. I unknowingly drove right past Cocoa Nail Salon in the same plaza. I saw them on the way out which made me regret my impromptu decision even more so. This salon is small; outdated; and not clean. I asked for the manicure/pedicure special and the young girl Maria said nothing but waited at the pedicure chair for me. Their selection of polishes is limited and I found a lot of repeat colors. Nonetheless, I found myself being immediately waited on so I grabbed two bottles of polish and ventured forward. The entire process was done in under 30 minutes which is record time in my book. What I was most concerned by was the lack of hygiene. She used a tray of tools that were throw off to the side and obviously used and unclean to do my pedicure. The paper towel from under my feet which was pulled from underneath me and used to wipe the tools with was then thrown into the water and used as a quick wash cloth on my legs. That was the only contact made with my legs and my feet were hardly scrubbed at all. Twelve minutes later I was put into the chair for my finger nails. She asked if I wanted them cut and then cut them crooked and at different lengths. If you knew me you'd know I never open my mouth in situations like this and speak up. I'm never one to ask someone to correct their work but it was so obvious and that bad I had to say something. I politely asked her to even out a few nails and she filed them done to nearly nothing and they were still crooked. My nails were all the the same long length when I arrived and now they all vary in size. The strange part was everyone seemed to know this girl and one asked to even wait to be done by her. The bottom line is you get what you pay for and while I didn't spend a lot it was still a complete waste. But at least now I can cross them off my list and know never to return. And hopefully warn others from making my same mistake. Spend the extra cash and go somewhere else...there are far many better salons in Fairfield. read more

Worst waxing experience I have ever had. Came in because had gotten my nails done here previously so I figured they would do a decent job. I was wrong. The lady ran to the back to get me in quickly while she was in the middle of doing someone's nails. She took no time to ask what bi wanted just put wax on my eyebrows with no technique and now my eyebrows are worse than they were before I walked in. Do jot go here to get your eyebrows done. Salon is dirty. Service is terrible! Nail polish is very old. They were not polite even a little. They were bulling me for the tips for massage! But usually massage is included. I was so disappointed. I will never come again to this salon! Never ever!!! I asked for manicure - that usually means to take care of nails and surrounding skin. They did nothing like that! It was disgusting! I was wondering what I am paying for. They were not happy with the tips that I gave them. Their unhappiness was loudly discussed among the other staff and clients.
