Let me start by saying that the employees at the front desk have been pleasant, courteous, and…read morehelpful throughout this experience. Unfortunately, my issue has been with the owner and how this situation has been handled.
After purchasing a washing machine, I decided the $120 delivery fee was not within my budget, so I borrowed a truck and transported the machine home. After setting it up, I immediately noticed that the bulk cycle was not working. While that was not a major concern for me, I then tried the normal wash cycle and discovered that the machine was extremely loud. I had to close the laundry room door because of the noise. More importantly, the spin cycle was not properly spinning the clothes out.
As a result, my clothes were coming out excessively wet, and I had to run them through my dryer three times just to get them completely dry. I contacted the store, explained the issues, and advised them that I would bring the machine back as soon as I could secure another truck.
Approximately a week later, I returned the washing machine. I subsequently received a call from the owner stating that the machine had been repaired. When I went to pick it up, I specifically asked whether all of the issues I had reported had been addressed. I was reassured that they had been.
I brought the machine home, set it up again, and unfortunately, the spin cycle was still not working properly.
I stopped by the store and informed the employees of the continued issue. I was told that the owner might be able to swap the machine out. I returned the machine to the store once again. A few days later, I called for an update and was told by the owner that they were still looking at it. Later that same week, I called again and received the same response.
The following week, I received a call stating that the motherboard had been replaced and that the machine was ready for pickup. I picked it up, brought it home, and tested it again. Although the spin cycle has improved somewhat, it is still not functioning the way it should.
At this point, I have had to transport the machine back and forth multiple times, spend additional time dealing with repairs, and repeatedly test a machine that I purchased expecting it to be in working condition. The most frustrating part is that I have repeatedly explained the same problem and have been told that it was fixed, only to bring it home and discover that the issue remains.
I understand that used appliances can sometimes have mechanical issues, but I believe that once a customer has brought the same problem to your attention multiple times, there should be a reasonable effort to resolve the issue permanently rather than continuing to send the customer home with the same defective equipment.
