What is wrong with people these days? I am at a loss for words to adequately express how this man, presumably the owner, made me feel. In all my seventy-eight years, I don't believe anyone has ever spoken to me the way he did. I called to ask if he would be able to repair my machine if my local dealer could not. He proceeded to tell me how "silly" (his words) I was for asking him that. I was confused. He wouldn't allow me to explain anything. He talked over me, eventually telling me to take my machine elsewhere, and hung up on me. I had never said an unkind word to him! I sat there stunned. This man is in serious need of counseling. Judging from Moye's reviews, I see that I am not the only person who has been on the receiving end of his nasty temper. I am related to a retired sewing machine repairman who told me that if someone made him mad, he would deliberately damage a customer's machine. I don't know if Moye would do that or not, but I certainly would not trust him. And you people who paid for repairs and received non-functioning machines, three words for you: Better Business Bureau. Moye is not an associate but according to Google, BBB will still accept feedback. It's free and easy to file online. Takes about 3 minutes. Also, small claims court is available. read more

I went with two sewing machines. The brother with the clumped up stitches and oil coming into the threads now doesn't stitch. Looped threads, fabric that bunches up, uneven stitches just a few of the problems. Don't know how to fix the problem. The sewing center was supposed to know how to do it. The Kenmore does work. my husband took my bernina sewing machines into Moyes, my B570QE they broke the tensioner/needle cover because they didn't remove all the hardware before removal, they just ripped it off! the part must be replaced because doesn't stay on right now. the body of the machine where they opened it to service it was not reassembled properly i had to remove the hardware myself and assemble it correctly. it also wasn't fully cleaned or lubricated properly inside either. On my B770QE they did the same things I had to take both machines apart, properly clean them, lubricate and reassemble. they also did not update the servicing information being completed (the machines keep a record in the computer portion) . again I had to do this myself. I do not recommend using them for Bernina sewing machine servicing. I'm very disappointed read more

Completely awful service and customer care. I came looking for a vacuum piece and was promised a call back when the piece came in. They never called back, but every time I called them to check on the order (about 10-12 times!) they always promised that "It's on back order, it should be here next week; we'll call you." I finally called for the last time and asked for the piece name, found it myself on the internet, and ordered and received it within 5 days. To describe this "business" in one word? Inept. read more

Unfortunately I did not ask around enough before I took my phaffs in to be serviced. They were in good working order and now one is broken! I can't even use it. I'm driving 3 hours to the nearest dealer to see if it can be fixed . We I told someone they said t" Thats what they are known for ... breaking your machine and trying to sell you a new one. I purchaed my third Brother embroidery machine from Moye's Sewing Center in November. The two men who work in the store provide EXCELLENT customer and training on the machines I purchased. The men are very knowledgeable, courteous, and take time to answer my questions when I call or go into their store. I couldn't find the owner nicer or more helpful. My machine was done in 2 days and he sat down with me so I would be sure I was threading it correctly. My experience was outstanding!! The two poor reviews were very old...I wouldn't put any stock in them based on my experience and the experience of the person before me. read more

I got my Singer Straight Stitch fixed here a few weeks ago and it runs even better than it did when I first got it! W.D was extremely helpful and cheerful. They fixed my sewing machine in LESS than 24 hours, and he even carried it out and loaded it into my car for me. Recently moved back to Savannah from Florida and had a problem with our Brother Commercial Sewing Machine. It was not oiling properly and Mr. Moye gave me some tips on what to do over the phone and got us back in business. I had a completely pleasant experience with them and they repaired my sewing machine perfectly. Everyone in the shop was pleasant and professional and the store is very nice and clean even if it isn't new. The only complaint I have is that it's kind of hard to get to when coming from the east. read more

Absolutely awful--horrible customer service and a complete rip-off. I took a sewing machine in to have it serviced. They never called to let me know the machine was done, like they said they would. When I finally went to pick it up, it was over $50 more than the price I'd been quoted. When I complained, the owner began swearing at me, telling me my complaint was "bullsh*t" and berating me. When I told him I would not be returning, despite having more machines that needed servicing, he told me my business was not needed, since they "service over 400 machines a month." You'd think they'd spend some of that money on fixing up the shop, because it looks like a condemned building. When I got home I noticed that I'd been charged $16 to replace the light on my machine, but it had not been replaced. The man who serviced the machine even specifically pointed out to me that the light was not replaced. The new power cord they'd out on the machine apparently was not the right one, as they had to wrap it in electrical tape to keep it from falling off the machine. They left a greasy substance all over the machine and in the gears as well. Any time I sew with it, it leaves oil spots all over the fabric. Complete rip off!! read more
