There's nothing that will remind you that you are getting older when you find yourself getting excited over a new appliance. So we've been looking for a new washer/dryer to go in our new house, and with time running out with the last month of our rental to do laundry in, Kat & I hit the streets looking for a deal on a washer set. At first, we rode around to some of the scratch & dent dealers, but had no real luck finding something that we wanted. Either too worn out or dubious warranties issues. Livingood's was going to be our last stop for the day before we headed back to the drawing board. After we arrived at their location, we walked into a very clean and organized showroom. A staff member promptly greeted us and took us to what we were looking for. They too offer a scratch & dent section in the back of the warehouse. We milled about, checking everything out but couldn't find a dryer that matched a washer. The staff member that was with us ended up showing us some sets on the main showroom floor, and getting the sense that we really didn't want to spend a couple thousand dollars right after buying a house, offered us the floor set at a discounted price. It ended up being perfect, and we're set up for delivery of our brand new set on Tuesday, and have a pretty good warranty to boot! The whole process was painless and it's safe to say the next time we are in the market for an appliance, we will definitely be coming back here. read more

I wont go into the quality of the fridgidare side by side ( I give it a 1 out of 10). Its a replacement for the first one we bought, and it was defective. The noice problem we have is intermittent and thus, very hard to diagnose. You; can hear the noise anywhere in the house, and the unit is in the garage. Not the fault of Living Goods. Service is problematic. When you call for service, its AI driven. You call to set a date and you have to celar your calendar for that entire day because you wont know until the day before, what time they will be there. So, another lost day. 2 out of the first 2 deliveries were damaged. the third, the wrong product was delivered. YES, they try and make good with extended warranties ( worth their weight in sh.....) and help with delivery costs. Another ticked off ex customer. read more

The Scotsman icemaker is AWFUL to have in a kitchen, incredibly noisy! She misled us into thinking it was quiet. She went on and on about it. IMO she should be FIRED for the line of BS she fed us. Just moved to the area and had heard great things so we decided to purchase a new refrigerator here. Unfortunately we could not be more disappointed with the service. Refrigerator arrived with a dented door. We could not get in touch with our salesperson but the delivery person assured us that they would order a new door for us. Waited a week and left numerous messages with our salesperson asking for an update on the replacement door. Received zero calls back. Finally tracked down our salesperson and was transferred to the service department where no one answered. Eventually the door comes in and we scheduled delivery. The delivery person arrives with the incorrect door. How hard is it? A month with a refrigerator that still isn't right and zero apologies or acknowledgment from Livingoods. We had an incredible experience shopping for our new washer and dryer from Livingood's. Our sales representative, Dale, was very knowledgeable and able to answer all the questions we had. We compared costs with some of the bigger box stores, and was pleasantly surprised that the prices were close to the same. We like the idea of shopping with a local company that handles repairs (if needed), and not having to wait on some 3rd party call center. read more

I really appreciated the time Chris spent with me today helping me to evaluate the best washer/dryer combination for my family. I've used Livingood's the last 10 years for our appliance purchases, their service department, and I haven't been disappointed yet. I suppose I keep coming back for their customer service and service department. They've been given a $$$ rating, but they have quite a range of brands like high end Wolfe and Sub Zero to brands such as G.E., Samsung, Frigidaire. Quite a few more I've not listed here! They have two showrooms devoted to kitchen design, equipped with the high end brands they sell, for you to peruse. Had a terrible delivery and installation experience today. They called and texted me multiple times asking me to confirm the delivery time, which I did. After the two hour delivery window passed, I called the store several times to get a status update. First time, the delivery guys weren't answering the phone. Another excuse the second time. Third time, now one hour beyond schedule, I spoke to the useless manager who offered nothing and didn't even apologize. They finally showed up and one of the guys stinks of cigarettes and body odor. Stellar customer service from start to finish; ordering to correspondence and finally delivery. During this pandemic I have forgotten what it was like to have professional service. At the store Edward and Chris handled my transaction seamlessly. Even the delivery guys were cheerful. In addition, this store's inventory was better than the larger competitors and was able to fulfill orders in a reasonable timeframe. Total disappointment. After spending over $26,000 on appliances for my kitchen, I was told they could not bring my refrigerator inside, and then after reassessing, was told it would cost me an additional $500.00 to bring the fridge up the stairs and another $450.00 to install. One week later, they are bringing it up- and I am forced to spend the extra $500 plus tax! We are installing it ourselves. Would definitely not recommend. living goods has a large selection of products. That's the good news. The bad news is if anything should go wrong you are sunk. After buying a brand new refrigerator that had a broken ice maker from day one it is over five weeks and we still have not been able to get it fixed. They claim that they service all of their products but they don't tell you is that they don't have enough people to do it so you may have to wait weeks and weeks and possibly months. The sales person, Ken, is the rudest sales person I think I have ever dealt with in my life. I was a sales Director for a company and seeing this guy in action is very scary. The moment anything goes wrong. they want nothing to do with you.my advice is to go to Lowe's or go to Home Depot, but avoid this place because if anything goes wrong they are not going to help you read more

I recently went to Livingood's on Skidaway to look at refrigerators and stoves. They were having a big sale, and I had already looked at Home Depot and Lowes, so I knew what their pricing was for these items. Chris helped us, and he was outstanding. No upsell tactics, no attempts to show us things not in our price range, etc. We found a stove and fridge that we were happy with and were best for us. We paid and were given a delivery date. We needed to change that date, and was assured it was no problem. The scheduled delivery date time frame needed to be changed, and Brianna was wonderful about working with us. From start to finish the customer service we experienced was outstanding. A place can have great products, and great prices, but it is the people that make or break it 90% of the time. We purchased over $10,000 worth of appliances from Livinggoods. Thermador stove, dishwasher and microwave. The customer service has been awful! i have never written a review before but I feel it is important to warn other buyers. if I had to do over again, I would have used another company to purchase and service our appliances. Our range has had trouble with overheating and has never been resolved . Our dishwasher was just repaired for over $900 and it still not working (has the same problem) and they will not come back and fix it without additional fees. This place LivingGoods should be investigated by the Consumer Protection Board. We ordered $23,000 worth of appliances from them six months before we needed them to be installed, and they said no problem. Six months later our kitchen remodel was just about done, but the appliances had not arrived and LivingGoods advised some would not be available until a year later. (They waited till literally the last minute to tell us.) One of the items was a ventilation hood -- which they had thrown in for free because we ordered many appliances from one manufacturer. We needed to finish the kitchen remodel, so we ordered a different hood which was in stock, but they charged us $2,400 for it (less a small discount since it was a floor model). So the "free" hood was a phony come-on. Also, the sales people were double-talking excuse makers. Avoid this place if you can. read more

The provided no support in getting the refrigerator fixed, giving a discount, or working with the manufacturer to get it fixed. Their customer service after the sale is nonexistent. They were very helpful with informing us what was in stock and since we were flexible with the brands we were able to find some very nice quality products, all same brand. Stopped by to look for a 36 inch freestanding electric range, they didn't have any and the salesman didn't want help us . All he said is we don't have any and you should go to Home Depot but all the brand's are cheap there . I wrote a review on here a year ago about how bad their customer service is on newly purchased appliances. Oddly enough it doesn't show up any more but good reviews from 4 years ago do. We have now had our Samsung double oven for well over a year and it hasn't worked correctly yet. We have had the people out to our house to repair it 3 times and they have not. They also will not take it back. When we finally went back to the store Todd told us that they can't do anything with it and that Samsung doesn't want it. This is the absolute worst business I have ever dealt with. I can't bake anything in the oven. You put the temperature at 450 degrees to get it to finally reach 325 after an hour or so. Then all of a sudden it goes up to 475 and then back down to the 300's. I've given up baking anything. Do Went in to living goods again to try one last time to get them to fix my appliance. We went with an outside repair service a month ago and the oven still won't work they replaced the circuit board and showed how there had actually been sparks that ignited in the back of our stove and there was black soot from it burning. I reported this to them. They ushered me out of the store and said they would get customer service to call me back. That was two weeks ago and I still have heard nothing read more

Be careful spending your money here. They do not seem to stand by what they tell you. We had paid them $279 more than we should have. We have written documentation, and they admitted it. Now, more than 8 weeks later we still have not gotten our refund! If you choose to but through them, make sure that any discounts they claim you will get are real! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! Four years ago I purchased a Kitchenaid french door refrigerator, dual fuel range, dishwasher and under counter ice maker for a major kitchen renovation in my home, spending almost $9,000. At the time I was new in Savannah, wanted to spend my dollars locally and with a retailer more focused on higher end appliances. I knew I was paying more then I would have at a big box store, but figured the premium paid would be more then made up for by the individual attention and customer service I expected to receive. What a huge mistake. First, Livingoods required a 50% deposit just to take the order which was weeks before they would even deliver. When the appliances were finally ready, they then required that I personally visit their store again to pay the balance in full. Giving them a credit card number over the phone, or paying the driver upon delivery, were unacceptable options. The day following delivery, and full payment, it became clear that the refrigerator wasn't cooling. Although they gave me a beat up used loaner, it was weeks before the correct replacement arrived. When it did, Livingoods never bothered to update the serial number or records of the switch with Kitchenaid. As a result of this omission, when I later purchased a $191 three year service agreement on the original unit, it turned out to be worthless because I no longer owned that refrigerator. Additionally, because they told me that the initial manufacturer's warranty for the dishwasher was for three years, I did not purchase a service contract when it was offered to me at the end of the first year. Six months later, when the control unit on the dishwasher failed, I learned that it was not covered and that the initial warranty was in fact only for one year. That blunder cost me an additional $150 to replace the control unit. Throughout these problems, I attempted to reasonably and calmly work with the owner, Scott Livingood, who I hoped would offer some appropriate consideration, or at least support, as I worked for a fair solution. He did not even offer an apology, basically taking the position that I was SOL and that these were my problems, not his. They said washer and dryer was in stock, but need to get pedestals in about a week. Called after two weeks and they said they were not in stock. They didn't know when they would have inventory, since Electolux was changing models. So I spent $3,245 with them on my credit card and it was all a lie. The sales people are arrogant also. They had the specific model we wanted in stock (unlike the big box store we price- shopped first), they beat all the big-box stores' *sale* price by hundreds of dollars, we purchased the item on Friday, they delivered on Monday -- several hours ahead of schedule! The ice maker on the refrigerator failed in the first year. The microwave has now failed at barely 2 years. Mistakes happen. I get that. Its the way in which Sandy the general manager, Scott the salesperson, and Mike the delivery manager have handled things up to this point. Here's a quick list. 1. Hole in the wall. (still waiting for a call after following up with them twice about this) Annoying but mistakes happen 2. Delivered a leaking washing machine. (yes it was used) The delivery guy saw it, said he fixed it, and tried to leave. Before he got in the truck I stopped him and told him it's still leaking. They took it back and told me to call my sales guy. I did and ended up purchasing a NEW washing machine. Annoying but mistakes happen. 3. The next delivery I had to come home on my lunch break to be there as the holiday hours had been abbreviated. He called me and told me he was at my house. He was supposed to call 20 mins before so I could coordinate and be there when he arrived. So I raced home (4 minute drive literally). 30 seconds before I got there the delivery guy called me and said he was RUNNING TO THE STORE real quick. My answer was a clear "no you're not, I'm paying for this delivery and it is a fix to your company's mistake" 4. The new machine was DENTED. really? Mistakes happen is no longer in my vocabulary. 5. They came back with the new machine a few hours later. Even though I was told that delivery hours were shorter because of the holiday hours the delivery guy realized I have been getting screwed left and right. He decided to make the extra effort to get me my new undented machine that day. He is the only one that used common sense to handle a mistake. They happen right? Good job to him. (even though he is the one that put a hole in my house) 6. I called, very very angry. Told them to waive my delivery fee. They did. 7. Still no word from them about the hole in the wall. 8. PS we also bought a floor model refrigerator. It does not cool and freeze well all of a sudden. Definitely something wrong I just don't know what. Yes I understand how the vents in the unit work. Prob needs freon. Calling them this morning. I will update this post today when I speak to Sandy the General Manager. But I won't change it. Everything that happened is fact. You'd think if you wanted to sell appliances, you would hire people who are friendly and helpful. I've been to the big box stores on many occasions and wanted to give the locals a chance to sell us some appliances, both new and used. I really felt that the saleswoman who waited on me was suspicious and more than a little unwilling to discuss electric and gas ranges. Granted, no one enjoys high pressure sales --and I was wearing very casual old clothing for Saturday shopping exactly for that reason. But I don't think I smelled bad. She kept saying Frigidaire brand gives the most bang for the buck. Okay...I asked her what that meant and she said something about it's what they specialize in...what? The name is Frigidaire, this is a stove. Lord! Then she got snippy whe I was trying to get her to clarify dimensions. She told me to go online to get specs. Umm, if I was planning to go online or shop at her competitors, I would. Maybe that's a great idea because she wasn't much of a salesperson. Sorry. We have lived in Savannah as part-time residents for over 15 years. And we have owned four homes, Renovating each of them across that time. We have purchased Appliances from this company 2 to 3 times. Each time, the sales process was a mix between averageand below average. It is with the recent purchase of four appliances to match existing refrigerator that is led me to look for an alternative. Sales process was average, however the delivery process was far lower than average. Since our last purchase, this company has taken on it's on service team. That was a major shift for them, and not a good one from a customer's point of view. Their in-house customer service staff and process need very serious attention. They are extremely disorganized and not great to work with. Ultimately our service request was passed along to a factory technician as it was a warranty product. But getting to that stage was a real hassle. We have purchased appliances from both Home Depot and Lowe's in Savannah. Both of which offer the same or similar products, Just with a different variation in the model number. Lowe's in particular did a superior job of tracking down the product we wanted, as well as delivering and installing it. My advice if it's your first time looking for appliances in Savannah? Look at living goods, get the model information you need, then go to Lowe's or Home Depot.frankly I think even sears does a better job that is if they're still open in the near future read more

Last year, we spent $12,600 on kitchen appliances, and the experience was OK; but not what I expected for that much money (to me anyhow). We wanted to shop locally instead of a big box, and think we got reasonable prices. Paying up front on special orders is normal; but their follow through was only a little better than HD or Lowes. It was difficult getting through to the salesman to get status information. Up front, we had told them that the kitchen was gutted and delivery would have to be delayed -- nevertheless, they kept calling to schedule partial delivery saying they needed to clear their warehouse. Later we called when we had trouble with the Dacor stove (around $6-7000), and were told to call Dacor's 800 #. If they couldn't fix it on the phone, LA would come out (2 miles). Overall, it was OK; but when we redo our new house next year,we will go someplace else. read more

Just to update my previous review, Livingood's came through as I hoped they might and fixed the problem. They offered to let me return the Frigidaire, ordered a new dishwasher and matched the price at one of the big chain stores, and when it came in a week later, they called and offered to deliver and install the dishwasher at my earliest convenience at no charge to make things right.
