I didn't get to try my go to, the brisket, as they had already sold out but I got to try the pulled pork and the chicken wings and WOW. The pulled pork was good enough to not need any sauces. The chicken wings were out of this world. I got them dry with sauces in the side and these too were perfect and didn't need sauce either. I did want to try all of their sauces though and got them on the side. Every single sauce was phenomenal. The vinegar sauce was perfect with the pulled pork and wasn't an overly strong vinegar, honestly one of the best vinegar sauces I've had and I live in Eastern NC. It's a crying shame this place is only open 11-2. The two folks working when I came in were super nice and helpful. I'm assuming the man I spoke to was the owner and he was very appreciative of my business. If I lived within 30 minutes of this place I'd be here every single week. CARNIVORE APPROVED

On my latest visit I got their pulled pork mojo special which was nicely done, along with two quarter chickens-dark. Staff has been super friendly on each visit and the place is spotless. Getting to-go is quick and only has taken a few minutes which is great since their hours are confined to 11a-2p.

And they will also take the time to upgrade the bathroom feeling - nice soap, luxurious paper hand towels, deep clean the floor and walls. Never saw her in between those times. So, no refill on coffee or water. No ketchup for my potatoes. No extra butter or jelly. I still tipped 15%. Generally for tip I do 20-25 based on service. Should have done no more than 10 today. If you want average food with poor service that runs $40 plus give em a try.
