Meh. This place is fine if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out my way for it. What's most confusing is why it was written up for Food Network. Like haven't they had better barbecue than this? This is the best middle Georgia has to offer? the rib "plate" cake with two decent ribs and one shriveled, tough little reject of a rib. While it wasn't expensive, I also didn't find it to be a great value, either. STEAMER RIBS? The ribs I ordered had kind of a bland, waterlogged quality. Like they'd been sitting around for a good while in a steamer basket or something. The flavor was okay. Just bland. And I'm not super into spicy food just to be clear. This is for the lot who maybe thinks mayonnaise is too "spicy." Maybe the ribs would have been better if they'd just come out of the smoker? The sauce was fine. I don't typically like vinegary sauces, but it wasn't like Carolina level vinegar... so fine, but not great. If it were served to me at a picnic I wouldn't complain, but I wouldn't rave, either. The sides were pretty forgettable. Everything was okay. The cole slaw tasted like it had a lot of pickles in it, which was unusual.

I go to pick up my mom and leave with 2 pounds of pulled pork and two sandwiches for the road without fail. Fincher's BBQ is the place that I visit every time I go to see my family in Georgia. The outside makes the place look small but they make up for it with large flavor. Their BBQ has a strong vinegar base to it. I've never been a fan of vinegar-based BBQ,however this place is certainly the exception. I would love to be in the kitchen and learn their secrets. They have a small dining area inside that's always packed and a drive-through window where people can get their BBQ fix on the run. I always keep it simple and get pulled pork sandwiches. If you're driving through Macon Georgia and you're a fan of delicious barbecue you have got to stop by Fincher's.

We were heading home from Atlanta and decided to stop in for a quick bite. When you first drive up you are transported back to the 50's and 60's era. I could see this place in its hay day. I could imagine stopping by after church for a super and some fries. That's about where the good part of this review ends. The food was okay. The pork on the super reminded me of the pork sandwiches from the school cafeteria. The fries needed salt, and the peach cobbler was mostly dough and had very few peaches. We were hoping for a great little hole in the wall place. This might have been an amazing place back in the day, but now, it's just okay.

Pulled pork, Brunswick stew, baked beans and fries. I was a lil skeptical at first but the food is pretty damn good! I'll be back.

The good: the BBQ is among the best in the country. It's vinegar based, but it sooooooo good. Your best bet is the Super Pig. The bad: the building is older than me, and I think older than my mom. The age shows. It's a tight fit if you want to eat inside, but there are tables outside. Overall, though, it's a dive that makes the best BBQ. You won't be disappointed.

They had nice music playing and it wasn't too loud so you can have conversations! Everything on the menu sounded really good and it was tough to make a decision on what to eat. We eventually decided and this what we got! For our drinks we decided to get the Peach Nectar and the Mango Nectar juices. These were really good and highly recommend them! They tasted and seemed natural. There was no sugar overload flavor, just the juice of a mango and peach! We decided to start off with their beignet doughnuts with the sauce it came with. The doughnuts were tasty, just a little overcooked though. The sauce was delicious as well and we recommend getting these. We the decided to order the FreeBird Benedict and the Veggie Scramble. The FreeBird Benedict was great! It came with 2 chicken strips and sausage gravy with 2 poached eggs on a fluffy biscuit and a side of potatoes. The chicken was cooked nicely and the sausage gravy was delicious! The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the biscuit was fluffy! The potatoes were seasoned perfectly as well! The Veggie Scramble was delicious as well! The eggs were cooked nicely and you were able to taste the fresh tomatoes and spinach! It was served a side of potatoes and a fluffy biscuit! The potatoes were seasoned nicely and the biscuit was fluffy and had just the right amount of butter on it. It did get served with a honey apple spread which was very tasty as well! Overall our experience was nice! The service of the food was ok, I think it took a little too long to come out. I definitely still recommend eating here! Just be prepared to wait a long time to sit down depending on when you go!

With a table of eight, three of us had Eggs Benedict and all the eggs were hard as a rock and the server made no attempt to correct the situation when told. The coffee was brought to the table cold and the service was slow. The grits were tasty but were also served cold. The country feel of the downtown location was nice but don't serve hard boiled eggs on top of the benedict insert food at the proper temperature. Not recommended at this time.

Considering that they did not open at the time posted and the fact we waited nearly an hour to have our orders taken, it wasn't a bad experience. If you are hungry, I would call ahead. I can tell it's understaffed. We went on a Sunday morning. The mimosas are very goood and they have various flavors. The bottomless is a great bargain. Regarding the food, it is nothing special. Their wings are their staple, but even those aren't special. Chicken and waffles of course. This is a typical, lively, party brunch type of spot. This is not my vibe, so don't take my word for it if you like party atmosphere at brunch. They are also a hookah lounge so it smells like hookah inside and majority of the furniture has burn holes. There was a DJ who played good music, it was just too loud for me. Considering the price of everything , I would say to come prepared to spend $100 if you have a party of two and expect to drinks as well. I would come back, but I would not choose to go if I am paying.

Got the salad & it was a pretty underdone piece of salmon after asking for it well done. Asked the waiter why it wasn't blackened (out of curiosity) still ate it & called it good & told me we had to ask for it blackened. It was a very basic boring salad with a frozen piece of salmon for $20. My husband ordered a burger & fries. The burger was really good & he got goat cheese & bacon on it. The fries on the other hand were not it. Bummer because they are supposedly hand cut. They were drenched in oil. Like to the point that you couldn't even eat a few without feeling awful. They were soggy & heavy. Think homemade fries but in a super old fryer with lots of crisco. Overall very underwhelming for a place with such high reviews. Won't be back! Gotta step up it up if you guys plan to stay in business for another 50 years!
