Another solid meal. Most consistent food on the cape. Waitstaff is always professional and courteous. Can't wait to go back again

Have been back several times since my prior review on their first weekend open, and still really enjoy this restaurant. First, to update some of the issues noted in my prior review: they have definitely fixed the coffee. It's still served in a French press, but now it's piping hot when it gets to the table. I also noted the apparent miscommunication at the start of my first visit. Since then, we very seldom have had to wait to get seated and once we do, attention is prompt. Happy to say, the food has maintained its very high standards, and the wait staff is generally very professional. Sometimes the food is a little more complex than to my taste but it's a place we can count on for a great meal. And others obviously agree - reserve ahead to get a table at prime times. read more

The sea scallop entree was great and the hazel nuts desert was a great finish! Great service.

I contemplated writing a review bc I'm selfish and didn't want to make it harder to get a reservation at fin. This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in the cape. Coming from nyc and having been to a number of other places around the cape my expectations were meh. This place blew my mind, I can't stop thinking about the Panna cotta. I had the clam chowder and my husband had the oysters to start. Both amazing! I had the salmon and risotto and I savored every bite. Again, the Panna cotta was out of this world. I'm 8 months pregnant and I wanted to eat 3. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff is so friendly. All around wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in the cape. read more

Really a fine experience. Service was top notch, warm and welcoming. Food was really high quality. The kitchen did an exceptional job. Discussing the menu with the staff it became clear that the options were driven by what was fresh and local. My only regret? Only had six of the house oysters. Next time going for the dozen. read more

We have tried almost every restaurant in the Mid Cape area and this Fins in now one of our favorites. The first time we went my friend and I shared a salad and the Halibut special and it was delicious. We especially like the fact that they offer a nice array of roasted vegetables. We sit at the bar since it is small cozy and the regulars are friendly and welcoming. On Halloween we went for the Monk Fish. Again , wonderful. They have great salads, ths had goat cheese, beets, walnuts and light and fresh dressing. The Monk Fish was roasted and came with perfectly roasted Brussel sprouts, whipped Cauliflower and small mushrooms....we kept saying over and over how tastly and perfectly suited everything was. The wines are terrific, the bartender is a doll. The night we went it was all ladies and one poor guy who put up with us. It'll be a regulars soon. Leah West Dennis read more

Loved loved loved this gem! From the Oyster Chowder's surprising (and welcome) kick, to the divine desserts, the food was fantastic. Service attentive and friendly. The standout though was a tuna dish served over sauted spinach, a crunchy polenta, and perfectly seasoned. Melted in our mouths. Swordfish and littleneck clams also wonderful. We'll be back! read more

One of the top restaurants on the cape, certainly in my top 5 on the entire cape. Bar service and table service are excellent, menu is seasonally appropriate and the chef knows how to cook coastal cuisine. You will be extremely impressed if you are lucky to get a reservation.....expensive but worth every penny! read more

Food was flavorful, presented well, and nice atmosphere. I had the swordfish, my friend the salmon, and we had try artisan cheese plate. The cheese plate was incredible... Every component was exquisitely unique and delicious. While the fishes were tasteful, the sides didn't quite pull the whole dish together but individually were cooked well. I would come back here to try other dishes for sure! read more

Everything we had here was delicious. I'll start with the half bottle of whispering angel rose they had on the winelist! THANK YOU. Then came the oyster chowder with white truffle oil- delicate and not overpowering, perfect. Then the cheese plate- an array of cheese and compliments that satisfies a hankering for indulgence, without leaving you feeling too heavy before your meal. The house-made herbed crackers, yum, house-made marcona almond bark (yes, its incredible), and an array of tasty but not overpowering cheeses. The crabcake was chock-full of meat, and tasty. The herb crusted halibut was perfect in size and preparation. The squash and gnocchi sides served with it- oh my god. All of the flavors are delicate and play together so well- and I really wasn't expecting the combinations to create something that was so much better than the sum of its parts, but that's exactly what happened! Stuffed to the gills we still ate dessert because we didn't want it to end, and it didn't! The hazelnut mousse was crazy light and airy, while the salted caramel peanut ice cream slam dunked into my belly. Everyone needs to eat here and experience the genius of this kitchen. read more

Fabulous new restaurant! Seafood choices are excellent, but meats are not neglected. Ambiance is great, Service has been top-notch on both of our recent vists. Food is superbly cooked and presented. One of the very best on Cape Cod. read more

The special entree and salad were great; the salad and entree off the menu just ok to good. The service was fine, but the sound track of 30's and 40's "hits" ruined the atmosphere for us. read more

Great for a special occasion. Had a delicious dinner.

Fish went missing: we all enjoyed the oyster stew. My entree was the Flounder, nice presentation with the fish folded onto itself, but a peek under the fold showed the flounder was almost raw, back to the chef, and entree came back after a considerable wait, everyone else was done and they all felt bad to be eating while I sat plateless. Can't think of any significant reason to return except the oyster stew, but would grab that at the bar! read more

Extraordinary !!! Every single time, we have the privilege of dining at Fin - it just continues to amaze us at every level. Not only are the Oysters, Tuna and Crab without equal - Their artisanal salads are a work of art. The staff are top notch professionals and everything is a joy. This is the Premier Seafood Dining Experience at the Cape. We have owned and lived here for 10 years and no one can compete with the fresh, organic perfection of Fin.. You must dine here the next time you are on the Cape. You will be spoiled - I promise. read more

Excellent food, superb service, comfortable surroundings. Stand-outs were herbs de Provence crusted flounder, ricotta gnocchi. and Creme brûlée. (Husband is generally not a fan of Creme brûlée but loved this version). Will definitely go back. read more

We sat at the bar, first time at this place. Everything was very delicious!!! Katrina, bartender, was exceptional to us and other couples at the bar. Thank you for being there! read more

WAY overpriced and not worth it. Much better places around. We've been twice and will never return

This is my favorite restaurant on Cape Cod. I drive 35 minutes to get here. I dine for the whole package - atmosphere, service and food. Fin brings it all but THE FOOD is FABULOUS. I eaten here 3 times in past year and just outstanding every time. I just recommended to a friend for her birthday celebration and she called to thank me for such an awesome recommendation. The oyster stew is amazing - heck I'm not going to list the menu -it's all awesome!! Can't wait to go back. It's very easy to tell there is an amazing chef in the kitchen. read more

This is a great restaurant. The food is always top-notch. The oyster appetizer is always a hit with my dining companion - as fresh as can be and served with your choice of sauces. I always start with a salad and it is always delicious. Entrees are great. We have only had seafood entrees so can't speak to anything else. The tuna entree is wonderful! They take reservations, which is always a plus on the cape in the summer. One of my favorites! read more

Stopped in the other night on a recommendation from a B&B owner. So glad we did! The dining room was packed, but we were able to sit at the bar.The bartender was an absolute delight and kept us entertained the whole meal. The food was amazing start to finish. We started with oysters ( they grow themselves) and had the sea scallop and striped bass specials. For dessert we had the devil's food cake with chocolate sorbet and a berry sauce. It was probably the best dessert I've had in a long time. The bartender said it was one of the most popular ones that they've had on the menu. They also have nice variety of wine by the glass that you don't see everywhere else. We will definitely be back, especially since it's so close to the Playhouse and Cape Cinema. And you can make reservations for the bar! Where else can you do that? read more

This place was wonderful. The food was delicious, the service was lovely, and the dessert was fabulous. GET DESSERT!

This restaurant is wonderful in every way. I can't wait to go back again! The food is near perfect and the waitstaff were all very congenial and attentive. read more

Martha and her staff outdid themselves! The guys thoroughly enjoyed their oyster chowder and crab cake and my friend and I split and loved the goat cheese salad...presentation was superb. Entrees... pan seared scallops, marinated shrimps with the most wonderful creamy marcapone polenta, pan seared cod, and atlantic salmon were all fabulous. We enjoyed a very crisp, clean Pinot Gris and a smooth Pinot Noir. Dessert was enjoyed by all...lemon curd cheesecake, triamiso and a cheese platter, topped off with French press coffee and lemoncello. A wonderful way to finish our weekend. read more

My steak dinner was very expensive and poor quality. The rib eye was the quality of stewing beef. I was not charged for the meal. My meal was low value and quality For those at our table it was an evening misspent at Fin because of my poor meal. read more

Easily one of the best on the Cape! Fabulous food, charming atmosphere and truly delightful staff....Beth is a gem...

We were visiting friends on the cape and wanted a nice night out away from the group as a couple. After researching reviews, we were extremely excited to try Fin. The restaurant itself is adorable and the staff was polished and friendly. We were served by Karen, who was very knowledgable about the menu. I had the pan seared scallops which were fantastic, my favorite seafood dish of our trip. I'm a fan of salty and sweet combinations so what I enjoyed most about this dish was the surprise sweetness of golden raisins in the sautéed spinach. My fiancé had the littlenecks to start and raved about them, and had the sirloin for an entree. He was very impressed. The Tuna tar tar at other tables looked fabulous too...we were a little jealous we didn't get it. Normally we would pass up dessert, but Fin has an in- house pastry chef, so we ordered and were overly pleased with the zucotto and French pressed coffee. We found the prices to be very reasonable and we saw the value in the caliber of food and service. For two starters, two entrees, one awesome dessert, and the freshest coffee ever, we paid $105. You won't be disappointed. read more

Superb dinner last night. Chef Martha has got it going and I suspect this little Cape Cod pearl will become the area's top dog. Everything we had was exceptional from the Artisan Cheese plate, Oysters 3 ways and the Tuna Carpaccio to the Scallop and Sea Bass mains followed by three knock your socks off desserts. A 45 min drive from home in torrential rain was definitely worth the trip. Did I mention four anniversaries and a wedding proposal all in the same little dining room? I'll be back. read more

Took my mom and dad here to celebrate my mom's birthday last night. All three of us had exceptionally good meals and absolutely loved this restaurant! I haven't taken the time to write reviews on Yelp generally but this really stood out and I feel like the 4 stars it currently has on Yelp are not enough, so thought I'd add my vote for 5 stars. The restaurant is in an old home and the atmosphere is great - gorgeous old hard wood floors, bright walls with sea theme décor. We dined upstairs which I'd recommend. It was quiet and private feeling - tables not too close together - very comfortable seating. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. We had the Artisanal Cheese Plate and Seared Jonah Crab Cake for appetizers. Warm Brie, blue cheese mousse and Marcona almonds were amazing. For entrees we had the Fennel Seared Red Snapper, Grilled Pineland Farm Sirloin, and Grilled Garlic-Thyme Marinated Shrimp. Each meal and app was impeccably presented and incredibly delicious. Each entrée had a ton of unique flavor to it. For dessert we had the Rum Cake and Panna Cotta. The Rum Cake was moist and tropical. The Panna Cotta had the most gorgeous vanilla bean flavor, and the pastry was the perfect combo with it. You truly cannot go wrong by going to Fin. Highly recommend! Can't wait to go back. read more

We had dinner last night and the food was good, but service was questionable. The waiter told us he would bring us bread when we ordered, then rushed the meal and us out. He actually told us he needed the table. I think at the prices one should not be rushed, I am not sure any of us will go back. Very disappointing read more

Fit for foodies! Excellent food & service. I had the red fish and my husband had the tuns special- Martinis were delicious as well. I had the pineapple upside down. A must go to restaurant if you are mid cape! read more

I wanted to like it more than I did. I was willing to pay a lot for a great meal. The wait staff and hostess were very good. I wasn't impressed with the recipe and taste of the swordfish and my husbands lobster salad was so scant. The oyster soup, was good. Bread okay, and nice and warm. Climbing up lots of stairs was good exercise, but if there are issues with mobility, downstairs would be best. I probably wouldn't return, but glad I tried it. A bit noisy. Flowers and candlelight nice touch. read more

5 stars for food, 3 stars for service We were here to celebrate a birthday and the meal got off to a great start with a bottle of bubbly. This was followed by littleneck clams and tuna tartare which were fresh and excellent. I cannot remember what each member of our party had, but I had halibut which was accompanied by gnocchi. Our server seemed unfamiliar with the menu and definitely knew nothing about the wines offered as she kept getting the owner/manager to come over and answer our questions. We ordered wine by the glass for our entrees, but the wine didn't come until we were finished/nearly finished with our entrees and so we declined them. We even slowed down eating our entrees as we waited for the wine, but we saw neither the owner/manager or server to ask about the wine. The wine incident really ruined what was a very nice and special occasion for us. The manager/owner never came over to ask us about it or to apologize for the significant lapse in service which was too bad. read more

My wife and I had dinner at Fin last week. This was our second visit and I'm just not impressed. The service was very good, but the food was just OK. I don't care for the menu, which is very similar to the menu at the Brewster Fish House. I was looking for a seafood entre, but there are only 4 on the menu. I ended up settling on the cod. It was fine, but lacked seasoning. Having been seated both upstairs and down, I don't care for the stark decor and noisy floors. Other diners are seated very close, as well. in the end, the prices are just too high for me to hurry back. read more

Fin is simply fantastic. We tried this place after seeing what great reviews were left by fellow yelpers. The menu has mostly seafood appetizers and entrees in what I would call French-American cuisine with a Japanese twist. You see a lot of asian inspired ingredients on the menu such as yuzu and wasabi complimenting some dishes. There were two additional seafood dishes added to the menu as specials, so definitely be attentive to their daily specials, and I ended up ordering a tuna that was not part of the menu. I loved the sauce that came on the fish that was a demi-glaze. The restaurant also makes their own ice cream and sorbet in house (we chose from a chocolate-mint-baily's sorbet), and vanilla-bean or salted peanut caramel ice cream selection. I ordered coffee after the meal, and really appreciated that they brewed it fresh for me in my own pot. The restaurant itself has a very rustic feel in its decor and hard wood flooring. Most of the diners seemed to be locals or regulars and seemed to know the wait staff on a familiar level. If you are going to spend a week at the cape, I would definitely recommend eating at Fin more than once! read more

This place features a oyster chowder that makes it worth the drive. She had a cod dish that was fantastic while I had broiled swordfish that was everything it was supposed to be. Server (Kevin) was on point attentive without hovering. Fairly pricey but great special occasion restaurant. read more

Food was delicious but a little "too." Soup was a bit too rich, one entree was a bit too salty, and the other was a bit too sweet. We will definitely come back though! read more

should have walked out after entering; fish smell was awful. Oyster stew had no oysters. My duck was delicious but the sauce had no flavor. My wife's Flounder was awful. Really a stinker of an evening except for the service. read more

The food here is quite good, both the seafood and non-seafood entrees. Nice wine selection and possibly the best Cosmo I ever have had. We sat upstairs which is a very nice looking dining room, at a window table with a great view. My only suggestion is to put some fabric on the windows to cut the noise. For a restaurant of this type and price range, it should not be so noisy. I could hear every conversation from at least four nearby tables. read more
