Thank you to the gal at MJs Pinoy Fiesta who helped me order the proper size trays of food to feed everyone with plenty of leftovers for them to bring home. They loved every dish on the table. I ordered the following trays of food from MJs Pinoy Fiesta that everyone found delicious: Chicken Adobo, Lumpia, Beef Tapa, Lechon Kawali, Fried Marinated Bangus. Thank you again MJs Pinoy Fiesta!

This fast food place offers a wider variety of options compared to other spots we usually visit,…read morewhich is a nice plus. However, taste still matters most--some of the dishes were really good, while others could use a bit more flavor, especially seasoning. They also have desserts and snacks, though the selection isn't very extensive. The service was just okay. The girl who assisted us didn't seem very welcoming--she could definitely benefit from being more friendly and approachable, as it felt like she wasn't too interested in helping. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a typical fast food restaurant--spacious with good parking available. We might give it another try once their new location opens.

Just from looking at the food in Tony's Barbecue's Yelp photo gallery I knew I had to try this…read moreplace soon!! Located in an older shopping strip, Tony's is not to be overlooked. The inside of the restaurant looks like it may have been recently updated ~ it's nicely arranged with a good amount of seating. Orders are placed at the counter and your food is brought to your table when it's ready. Since it was our first visit, the lady at the front was happy to answer our questions and make suggestions. Everything is freshly made to order, so be prepared for a short wait. Plates come with a cup of egg drop soup (which came up piping hot and was very flavorful) that is served to be enjoyed while you wait for your main dish. My foodie friend ordered a fish dish with the Java rice. I chose the beef rib plate and also went with the Java rice. Siopao was a new featured item and apparently they're known for their bibingka, so I added those as well because at this point, why not right? While my friend enjoyed her fish, she said it could have used more seasoning and she wished that she didn't have to pick out the bones. My beef ribs were SOOOO good!! And the Java rice had a really nice flavor that went perfectly with the ribs. Since we had so much food, we split the siopao (a steamed pork bun), and I can't even begin to describe the bibingka ~ it was rich and delicious, with a slightly sweet & creamy filling. I'd have to have another one to better describe its flavor more accurately. I'm so glad to have discovered Tony's! I can't wait to go back!!!

My friend and I consider trying new buffets one of life's little pleasures. Whenever we come across…read morea restaurant that looks delicious, we save it and eventually make plans to visit together. I came across this restaurant on Instagram and had been wanting to try it. Since it's a regular restaurant that offers a buffet only on Wednesday evenings, we decided to visit on a Wednesday night to enjoy the buffet. They're open from 4 p.m. for the buffet, and we arrived around 5 p.m. The restaurant was already packed! It's a medium-sized restaurant, and fortunately, we only had to wait about five minutes before being seated. Before entering, we paid first and were told that the dining time was limited to 90 minutes. When we got to our table, I thought the neatly arranged placemat setting was adorable. The plates were wide, clean, and white. Unlike the stainless-steel or plastic plates you often see at buffets, these were ceramic, which I really liked. It made the whole experience feel a little more special--almost like we were being treated to something extra. There was a nice variety of beef, pork, and chicken dishes, and salmon was the main fish option. They had egg noodles, a beef soup dish, short ribs, and lobster!! There was also crispy fried pork skin with meat attached. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back and eat again. Haha. As I was making my way through the food selections, someone who I believe was the owner kindly struck up a conversation and asked if it was my first time there. When I said it was, they welcomed me and told me to enjoy the food. For drinks, there was water and tea. The tea was on the sweeter side. I didn't ask whether other drinks were available to order. I had a lovely time chatting with the gentleman at the table next to us while enjoying our meal. The owner also kept coming by to check on us and make sure we were enjoying everything. Haha. Our plates were cleared quickly, too. The overall atmosphere felt like being invited over to a friend's house for a meal. Cozy, warm, and family-oriented! It had a kind of welcoming vibe that's hard to find at restaurants these days, and we had such a pleasant and enjoyable evening. I was especially happy because my friend enjoyed the food so much, too! Overall, almost everything was delicious, but the roast beef was particularly good. I also really enjoyed the lumpia. The lobster was probably somewhere in the middle in terms of flavor, but honestly, expecting too much from a $38 buffet would make me feel like I was asking for the impossible. Haha. You can really taste the care that goes into each dish, and the overall quality was impressive. I'm already wishing Wednesday would come around so I can go back!

We have held a baby shower party for our daughter here and she and her husband were happy with the turnout and the outcome then. With such wonderful experience here, we decided to celebrate my wife's milestone birthday with a buffet lunch here last Saturday, July 25. I really appreciate the great collaboration through easy communication and coordination with Jenny, their manager here. She helped me ensure all went well from preparation to execution of the celebration. Almost all our guests raved about how good and delicious the foods were, even their lemongrass iced tea, which a lot of them loved. The costs were fair and reasonable as well as some special accommodations and a couple of complimentary food items by the owner for us for hosting our party here at their Mekeni Restaurant. Thank You and Kudos to the staff for their friendly, consistent, reliable and great overall service their crew and staff rendered to us that day. The team was headed by Jenny, Vanessa and Robert! Aside from the fact that they could have had more electric fans there that day to regulate the uncomfortable warm temperature inside the restaurant that day, everything else went very well and wonderful. We highly recommend Mekeni Pinoy's Pride for dining in, picking up and also having parties to celebrate special events. Let us all continue supporting this Filipino restaurant which makes truly very good quality and delicious Filipino dishes at reasonable prices! Let's Come on down to Mekeni's!

I only wish the garlic rice was a bit more garlicky for lack of a better word. It felt like it was more-so just mixed with garlic instead of cooked WITH the garlic. Serving staff were a hit or miss, some were friendly and proactive, others were..... meh........Food itself was tasty, but for the price point (super expensive), I expected more protein. They were generous with the rice though. We ordered the crispy pata which seem to be the popular item for this place. It was super crispy with a light and crunchy skin which is a very hard process. It smelled delicious and can easily be cut into which is again, a difficult thing to do if done right. My only thing was that it looked big, but once it was cut it actually didn't have a lot of substance. The kare kare came in a big pot and the sauce was bountiful, but the protein (tendon, green beans, tripe) weren't a lot. Great presentation not a lot of substance. We decided not to have dessert there as their halo halo was over priced at $16.00. The food here has changed over the years for the better. The bichol express had a nice consistency from the coconut milk and the spice was not over powering. The bulaklak was nice a crispy and did not have an oily texture. The pancit also has pieces of Lechon Kawali which is not traditional but have a. Ice texture contrast. Last was the grilled bangus.
