The pizza is great with a a variety of choices The bacon cheddar chicken ranch and wood fire margarita ,tasty Grandma and crispy Sicilian pies are just some of our favorites. The appetizers pasta dishes, seafood, and entree selections are numerous and delicious. My wife is vegetarian and loves the pasta primavera,veggie lasagna can substitute a vegetable of her choice for any meat in a pasta dish! The weekend specials offer something for everyone and themes like the October Fest menu are phenomenal! The apple butternut squash soup and fork tender sauerbraten were Fantastic. This is a great neighborhood pizza and full service Italian restaurant. The food is always fresh and flavorful. I have been taking my family and friends there for years. It is safe to say I eat there at least once a week. The menu is extensive with some traditional Italian favorites and on the weekends, there are always dinner specials. Believe it or, they also offer an extensive Octoberfest menu of authentic German food during September and October. In addition to good food they have a good selection of wine and beer. It does not matter if you are just having a slice or a full meal, it's always a good experience. I am normally a huge fan of Filetto's. My family and I love going there for dinner and we often order from their take out menu. Were usually really happy with the food, except this last time we ordered take out. My son ordered shrimp oreganata which is described as 'jumbo shrimp'. When we opened the container, which looked empty from the outside, there were 4 of the tiniest shrimp i've ever seen in an italian restaurant! They took up 1/4 of the round container. For $18.95, that is the saddest thing i've ever seen! It was such a disappointment. We now had to share food since it was a portion for a 3 year old. I'm annoyed that I just spent that amount of money when I can go elsewhere and actually have leftovers for the next day. Really disappointed :( read more

Yes ~ 5 stars! Not only is Filetto's the place to go (or call) on Friday nights for the best pizza in town, but their catering menu is Top Notch as well. My guests raved about the Chicken Sorrentino - delish! Friendly and seasoned staff, large portions, and great specials! Rich the owner is very warm, friendly, and personally walks around to 'make sure all is ok'. And God forbid something goes wrong, he's there offering a free glass of wine. We have been coming here for years! We have eaten in, had take out, and also catering. Rich recently did a catering order for my surprise birthday party and the food was excellent! I find them to be very responsive to any problems with your food. My favorites are the shrimp parmigiana, arugula salad with grilled shrimp and goat cheese, and any kind of salmon. Went here with a group of 5 kids and 6 adults. We ordered a large meatball pie for the kids and that's the best that can be said about the whole meal. The adults ordered 3 salads, lasagna with meatballs on the side and a "baked salmon encrusted with pistachios". It took 1 hour for food to arrive from the time we ordered. The salmon was unrecognizable it was so covered in white sauce. It was truly unappetizing. The menu description was nothing like what was delivered! Chef or manager comes out and says that's the way we make it. Pistachios are in the sauce. Apologized and took off bill but my mom was so disgusted and it would have taken so long for her to get any kind of food at that point, she gracefully declined anything. We told the manger we waited over an hour and he said they were busy with takeout! Restaurant was 1/4 full on a sat night. Glad they took care of their take out customers...couldn't believe he actually said that to us. Salads were mediocre. Lasagna mediocre. Meatballs didn't arrive until after the lasagna was finished and we kept asking where the meatballs were bc he wanted to eat them WITH the lasagna. They came out as our friend finished the lasagna. Our very young and inexperienced waiter was sadly terrible. Nice kid but in no way competent. The bad service and experience there was all anyone could talk about toward the end of our dinner and completely overshadowed the whole experience. We will never go back to filetto's. The pizza there is good but get it to go and save yourself a headache. We wanted to like this place so bad, this was our second try. Same thing happened the first time about a year ago with the bad service and mediocre food, so we tried again. Total mistake! Especially when there are other great places to go. HOLY LORD THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. We ordered food around 7:10ish on a normal Thursday night. at 8:35 when we hadnt gotten our food yet we decided to call and see what was up since it had been over an hour. (we were expecting compensation for having to wait so long). When we called the girl said the delivery guy was "on his way" and when I said we had been waiting over an hour she got all worked up said they were busy and did not offer any type of discount. So its 8:35 and the guy is on his way right so he'll be here soon right? NOPE.(mind you this place is 1.3 miles from our house.) We call again 15 minutes later and spoke to a manager, again no credit or refund is offered (however we are told to come in tomorrow to get a coupon lol). Guess, when our food finally comes?!?! 9:04! so the delivery guy took 40 mins to go a mile, unlikely, we were floored (quite literally because we were so f**ing hungry we couldnt stand anymore). AND WE'RE NOT FINISHED YET, after getting our food 2 hours after we ordered it, MY MEAL WAS MISSING IT'S SIDE OF PASTA AND SALAD THAT IT COMES WITH. like REALLY? Of course I called once again and they put me on hold for about 15 minutes and then told me they gave me a credit for the sides (not even the whole $20 chicken dish, just the pasta and salad, which by the way make the meal because otherwise it was just chicken wwith tomatoes on it) What terrible service I can't believe it, NEVER ordering from here again. read more

So I'm a traveling hockey mom and I've decided to embrace travel hockey by trying to find something interesting or good to eat when on the road. This week brought up to kings park. The restaurant that I picked for my family this week was in the same shopping center as this one, and although she he yelp reviews were good it looked like more of s take out spot that a sir down with your family for dinner spot. So as I called it, we pivoted this Pizza/ Italian spot as my kids would ALWAYS choose this over something adventurous. Our experience started a bit spotty, menus and bread were dropped off and then know one looked in our direction again. I called the hostess over for drink orders and even that was weird bc she didn't come back for about 4 months minutes. After watching all get seated and orders taken around us the waitresses came over apologetically and said that there was a mixup with servers ( ended up buying us drinks). We were all really happy. The pizza that my kids ordered passed the crunch and cheese stretch test and I ordered grilled chicken with vegetables which was awesome ( came with a side of pasta) and my husband loved his pasta, broccoli and sausage ( he commented how good the sausage was). Two thumbs up.... we'd definitely stop in next time at Kings Park. read more

Food is always consistently good but service is slow. Tonight was the kicker. Our waitress was forgetful and was hard to find her when we needed her. Ordered dri ms for the kids, who all had children's menus in front of them. The menu states "soda", but the waitress failed to mention that milk and chocolate milk was an extra charge. Maybe my fault but I also expect a server to be able to figure that stuff out and state it. We were overcharged on our bill (which they fixed) the "dessert" that came with our meal was a tiny cannoli, instead of a full sized one. If you're offering a dinner special, try not to be so cheap. It was very good service for a busy Friday night. The staff did everything it could to be accomodating. The dinner salad with the entree is included and is fresh. Hubbie's entree was shrimp, broccoli and penne but was mostly penne and a bland sauce. My entree was chicken vesuvio - a hefty mound of chicken, spinach and broccoli -- and the sauce was light. The unusual flavor of the side - whole wheat linguini and tomato sauce - was not to my liking since it was flavored with nutmeg. Maybe that is a family recipe that suits some clientele. We accepted, and I expected the food to be that of a typical pizzeria. NOT SO! Nice atmosphere and attentive and prompt service! Food was actually excellent! I commented to the owner. I think his name was Richie, and told him that his food was nothing short of stellar! He graciously said thank you, and said that we should visit when he has Octoberfest at FIletto's. the pizza is good. we order a few pizza's every week. we went there with friends for sit down dinner, we order appetizers and main course. when we received our main course my friend wife began to eat her dish when she stopped eating and went to the bathroom in a rush. when she came back she ask us to tell her that what she has in her dish is not what she thinks it is. so we called over the waitress and show her looked grossed out, she ask if she wanted something else she said no. about five minutes later the owner came over and said it was a piece of steel wool if that was the case it was very rusty brown. when we received the check her dish was still on the check. but we like the place and the other owner was a nice person, so we continued to order out pizza from them. they started a monday special $10. dollar pies so we order every monday 3 to 4 pies. then they raise the price to the monday special but we continued to order from them but halloween fell on a monday we ordered our pies and when i went to pick them up they said the pie are at full price. they could have told me when i place the order. they lost me as a customer. because they forgot the three most important things to have a great business. 1. great location 2. great food 3. respect their customer please if you decide to place an order on monday ask them how much before you place you order so you know before you show up (monday special are pick up only) read more

Filetto's is a local gem of a place that makes people feel comfortable in jeans, soccer gear or in a suit. The staff and chefs make substitutions easily, if asked, and are friendly and authentically sociable. Pizza is a delicious staple at Filetto's in an area that boasts a few pretty highly regarded pizza places. It's almost a cliche to talk about Pizza on LI, but Filetto's does much more than pizza. Most of the sauces are special and the chef/owner/s will at times bring out new dishes, which are always pretty amazing. It is a place with the authentic flair of an Italian Bistro combined with a headier sit down Italian restaurant. Filetto's also caters events, and holds special German festivals such as Oktoberfest in high regard, with dishes that meet the spirit of the holiday on a Prix Fixe menu. The bread is delicious. The restaurant makes use of excellent fresh spices and unique combinations of vegetables such as Artichokes prepared in a myriad of ways. Ordered delivery - almost $40 for 1 pizza and a "large" greek salad. Pizza was supposed to be 1/2 plain and 1/2 with toppings. Barely 3 slices had toppings. The Greek salad was a tin full of iceberg lettuce with a handful of feta and a couple of cucumbers, 2 grape tomatoes and 1 olive.... few onion slices. Been here several times - each was great. The Eggplant Rolotinni is superb and the Marsala is to die for - the gravy best ever. Portions are ample - always enough to take home for lunch next day - The "personal" pizza is huge - enough for two easily. Okay. Was craving there Mac n cheese pizza so we went. 1st of all the waiter the rude older waiter that thinks he is the best sucks basically threw my horrible stuffed artichoke . at me , the choke, I didn't touch,I just stared at it, saying to myself, "really" chunks of garlic through whole thing and my boyfriends food wasn't even served to him. Well anyway, finally, his so called pepperoni and sausage roll came with my Mac and cheese (20 min) later and of course , his is wrong ,he hates peppers and onions ,so what was served.-"Peppers onions and sausage "oh and the waiter in the beginning , we told him just sausage and pepperoni roll nothing else at all on it. The waiter comes back and asked does he want on hero or wrap. WHAT. ?? We just said s&p roll. Never will go back ever. The worst.
