I came back because my last few experiences have been great but Sundays experience is making me say this location is off the list. We came for the $9.99 lunch, more on that in a minute. But here's the rest of what went wrong: no greeting at the door because no server was to be found at 11:45am. Menu given to us with Parmesan cheese all over it, (see pic). Celery in my Bloody Mary had a bug on it. Ok, now back to the $9.99 lunch, when seated I asked for the lunch menu and was told it was no longer offered which was odd because, (and you can look at the pictures I've attached) signs all over the restaurant advertised it including the front door. Another spectacular Valentine's Day spent at Anthony's. The service here is always so good and the food, you can't beat it for the price. I really enjoyed trying the garlic Parmesan wings this time. It was a first and I was not disappointed. The only thing I suggested is when you order wings you order it well done . It does not affect the tenderness of the chicken itself. We stopped at this location to grab a bite before our kids' class. With an hour and 45 minutes to spare, I thought we'd have plenty of time. We ordered two kids' meals, an appetizer, and a pizza pie. The restaurant only had about three tables being served when we arrived, so I didn't expect much of a wait. Unfortunately, it took nearly 30 minutes just to place our order. We asked if everything could come out together, but that didn't happen. First, the kids' meals arrived, followed 10 minutes later by our appetizer--but still no pizza. Meanwhile, the table next to us, which had been seated after us, received not only their appetizers but also their pizzas (plural!) before ours even hit the oven. It was difficult to get our server's attention to check on the status of our pizza, and when we finally did, she told us it would be "five minutes." In reality, it took another 20. Pizza was atrocious particularly the skimpy amount of cheese on pizza. Sauce was underwhelming also. Bartender was above average. The major problem is the cost of drinks for what really is a glorified pizza parlor, no buyback policy (wife and I had 8 wines at 14+ a pop no buybacks?) and cleanliness a bit (ie pick up garbage on floor instead of walking over etc). I just picked up my order at Anthony's in Commack. The nicest person waited on me. It turned out to be the assistant manager, Ryan. I asked one of the waitresses his name as I was leaving. He was so polite dealing with the customers around me as I was waiting. I was astonished how someone could be so pleasant, especially in the evening dealing with all those customers. He even asked if he could carry out my food, as busy as it was. I don't usually write reviews unless the person is exceptional and this gentleman showed every aspect what a great assistant manager should be like. If you haven't eaten at Anthony's before, it's important to understand going in, that their food is a very specific type of food for specific tastes. The pizza is thin crust, Brick oven, so people think it's burnt. It's crispy, and while I love it, you have to know ordering, that this is the type of pizza you're getting. They have a great special on Wednesdays that's dine in only, for $10 a pie, no toppings. Their wings are my favorite, this is why I come here. They're roasted, not fried, but with onions. They're not spicy, they're seasoned, not greasy, so flavorful. Again, you're not getting your typical wing here, but it's so delicious and uniquely its own type of wing. If you don't like onion or roasted, or want something with sauce, they're not for you. If you like onion, roasted, not greasy or traditional, you will love these. read more

I saw a couple with a toddler wait over 45 minutes at a table with no server ... that's horrible. Staff needs to be more attentive to each table. My wife came in for a quick bite. The restaurant had changed quite a bit. It used to be more of an eatery, today it is more of a bar with a restaurant attached. I was looking forward to a coal fired Margherita pizza. To my disappointment, the pizza in this establishment is made only with a plum sauce. A marinara sauce is not available. Very disappointing! I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. My wife ordered a broccoli rapi with chicken sandwich. I will admit the salad was fresh and the chicken tasty, however, there was no Parmigiano! The takeaways: Pros 1. The service is done with a smile. 2. Parking is not an issue. 3. The portion size to cost is good. Not so Pros 1. No Parmigiano on the Caesar salad. 2. The espresso is made by a Nepresso. 3. The cappuccino is made by a Nespresso. 4. The marinara is only made with plum tomatoes. Final Thoughts: The lack of authenticity in the machines used to make the cappuccino, the cappuccino was excellent! This location of Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza is simply superb. After visiting the other businesses in this shopping center, I'd come here to get their meatball sandwich. I love the unique twist on a tradional Italian meal with the addition of hot peppers on panini bread instead of a white roll! It's so delicious that I can't help but come back whenever I'm in the area. The manager and staff serve their customers with such agility that I know I can trust them for a satisfying experience. They know my order so well that they can anticipate my own requests. Because I often get the large Aqua Panna spring water with the hard-to-remove bottle top, they remove it for me without asking to help me out! :) I also think the reward system is a great idea since I'm a regular. I especially appreciate the free birthday pizza! The low-light, spacious atmosphere with ample natural light makes me feel relaxed and comfortable as well. Pre-Coronamona we used to visit Anthony's quite often as they have amazing happy hour specials. These include drink specials, meatballs, pizzas and wings! The wings are unique as their is no sauce...I believe they're baked but they are very tender and worth checking out. They also have an option of some sort of dry-rub for the wings which I only had once but we still talk about how great those were! Pro-tip - order a side of meatballs along with your pizza for....wait for it............meatball pizza!! The food has always been good but the way they resolved a mistake with an online order left a lot to be desired. I used their website to place a takeout order. When I got home I realized 1 of the 4 items ordered was missing. It took 10 mins on the phone to get them to refund my credit card (they initially offered a credit towards a future online order). Fabulous happy hour but it's definitely an open secret though so get there early if you want a seat at the bar. It's a hot ticket. Food: Classic Italian salad is always fresh and delicious.
